Less than two (2) miles off Interstate 20, just behind "Salvation's Cross" in Rayville, LA... Our home was built by Mr. J. L. and Mrs. Gladys Keys in the 1970's. Mrs. Gladys used to work for my Grandmother at the local ladies dress shop. She and her husband often brought us fresh vegetables they raised on their "little piece of heaven." They had no children and all these years later, their idea of heaven became ours to take care of now. We are so blessed here at Payne Lane Farms. You can safely camp in your travel trailer minutes off of I-20 on our wooded, rural lot minutes from town, convenience stores, food, and even dump stations. The front orchard provides a refuge of shade and privacy while also allowing you to see everything around you. Rayville, Louisiana has great history and heritage and some fun artifacts to explore if you have an adventurous spirit. Good people and family owned businesses if services are needed while enroute-traveling. Welcome! Learn more about this land: Pull thru the front by turning to right of the mail box and not using the driveway! Maybe a little off road, but this is the country and it won’t hurt to just drive thru the yard sometimes. Fresh eggs for sale $3.50 dozen and maybe some fresh vegetables at $3.00 per pound, but ask us as we don't push them. Canning pantry does have inventory for easy meals. Two night max stay. 50 amp plugs - bring an adapter if needed. Someone took off with ours! Not a Rain Friendly Camp Spot. Does NOT have a Sewer Connect. Water and Electric ONLY. Safely Camp minutes off of I-20 on our wooded, rural lot minutes from town, convenience stores, food, and even dump stations in town. Gravel Pad at the House is where we often home our own Airstream. During times when we experience heavy rains we try to divert our camping traffic to this gravel pad as it is elevated and dry. No connections for water or electric available at this time as we are expanding and adding more spots on the farm.

Don't use google maps to find the place. Use the mail box numbers. The best thing about this place is the feeling of security. Just across the street is a very nice neighborhood and if you keep walking you get to a huge cross on IH20. The hosts were very nice and accommodating.

Gravel Pad at the House - Boondock
What an awesome place. Small, comfortable, woodsy; an actual farm! Hosts are wonderful and accommodating. I wish I was returning that way so I could stay again. Amanda and Justin are perfect hosts. You will enjoy them and their hospitality. Highly recommend.

Friendly and helpful hosts. This is more of a Harvest Host type place. They do have 50 amp electric. It rained when we were there and that was a problem. We had to park in the driveway to their house. The Rv sites were under water. The sites are in the front of their property. It’s nice and shady. I don’t think large motor homes would have any easy time getting in and out.

Amanda was very upfront with the flooding at their usual RV sites. She offered us an alternative location that still had utilities so we agreed that it should work. She was very welcoming upon arrival as well. Our main issue was privacy and dogs barking from 2-3am. The alternative site was right next to their home with 2 large dog kennels around 30 feet away from our front door. We did text her at 3:30am complaining about the dogs and it was resolved quickly, but only after they barked for an hour straight. There are low branches to consider and 4WD is recommended as we almost got stuck in the mud while leaving. The actual RV site we booked looked great, private, and off leash friendly. We would recommend this spot under non-flooding circumstances. T-Mobile home internet connection was “good”.

Wonderful host and family, super welcoming. Slept great and warm, and bought some fresh eggs the next morning! Would definitely recommend Amanda’s farm to anyone passing through!

Very convenient spot, easy on/off I-20, great fuel options at the exit. Amanda was super nice and location was great. Easy to find a nice level spot and we had a nice quiet evening. Would stay here again next time we come through.

Front of the Farm Concrete Pad
I enjoyed my stay at the front of the farm very much. Justin—and kids—greeted me warmly and made me feel welcome My camp spot was level, easy to access and and provided power For the rest of my two night stay I enjoyed total privacy, peace and quiet. I had a pleasant walk around the adjoining neighborhood on my first night. The next day I took a pleasant drive to Poverty Point National Historic site and World Heritage Site, which is definitely worth touring. It was easy to get back on the highway to continue my ny travels.

It's such a pretty area. Unfortunately massive rain storms and flooding but Amanda was so helpful. put us in a dry spot and made sure we had electrical hook up and actually had an outdoor mat to go under our steps and over the puddles 🙂

Great nights rest

Second stay at PLF&C in 7 months. Will be scheduling again for fall trip. Easy on & off I-20 and very convenient (5min) drive to Wally-World for last minute things forgotten or needed. Quiet and peaceful for cusp of urban/rural setting.

Wonderful host. They had a lot of rain before we arrived and the normal spots were under water. They had a nice alternate spot that kept us high and dry. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable.

Amanda and her husband are exceptional Hipcamp hosts. They go far beyond what would be expected. Amanda and her husband stood outside in a heavy rain, making sure we were perfectly parked and set up. Who does that? OUTSTANDING Hosts.

Nice quiet spot. Easy and quick access to highway, and though close to I-20, highway noise not discernible inside class-B RV. Host was responsive to texts and queries, and very personable. Easy access for even Class-A or towed trailer. Will definitely look into availability for annual return trip from further west.

The Perfect Stop-Over

A beautiful/quiet place for a stop-over. Easy access. Electricity & fire pit provided. Amanda was very helpful and accommodating. We felt safe on her property and even enjoyed going for a stroll through the neighborhood to stretch our legs. Would definitely stop here again.

Relaxing on the Farm

We just needed a place to stay for the night, close to the highway. So excited to find this spot. Wow! Amanda’s hospitality was 5 star! Fresh eggs for purchase made me a super happy camper :) Just pull up on the front of the farm. There are lights strung across the trees that make it super charming. This was our first Hipcamp experience. We’re sold!

My stay at Payne Lane Farms was a godsend -- it was not far off the interstate but very peaceful, and I felt safe there immediately as a solo traveler. Lovely grounds. I would highly recommend as an easy stop for those especially in RVs or camper vans. I slept so well! Would happily stay here again next time I'm traveling through.

Our stay at Payne lane was great! Super safe and directions were clear. There’s not much to do in Rayville, but it was a great stop over for us during our road trip. Amanda couldn’t have been nicer :)

Amanda was an amazing host. She made sure we felt welcomed and had everything we needed for a nice night. And she shared some of her farms bounty! The Front of the Farm is as beautiful as the photos. Highly recommend.

We loved this spot. They’ve made it quite nice with some outdoor furniture and fire pit and we enjoyed our stay even though there are no hook ups. We pulled our rig all the way to the front of the lot and we had gorgeous views morning, noon and night during our stay.

A Very Paynefull Experience

Amanda and her Husband were VERY accommodating and went above and beyond the call of Hipcamp to accommodate my Shuttle bus. The spot we ended up on was very level with 15 amp service. I would recommend her spot any time while travelling down the interstate.
