Hello Hipcampers! Welcome to Cajun Country! Click on sites and scroll down to choose our full service RV hookup space which can include a buddy site if needed, just ask for pricing. You may also choose rental of our own RV for use on site and we also offer in our home a very comfortable bedroom with a private bath. Any rental includes a one tent for camping for free. Contact us anytime for more information, happy to oblige. Our location is in a camp style neighborhood with great neighbors, like you. Here you will get the rest and peace and quiet that you may need or our location can provide all the fun that you can handle. If you need one night or one week or longer we can work with you. Whatever it is that you need we are here to help you get what you want. We live on the Atchafalaya River Hwy. and our location is only 3.5 miles from I10 at Butte LaRose exit 121. Butte LaRose is located in the heart of Acadiana and in the heart of the Atchafalaya Basin, which is true cajun country. Hunting and fishing is the way of life, here. The Atchafalaya Basin is the nations largest river swamp containing almost one million acres of America's most significant bottom land hardwood swamps, bayous and backwater lakes. Many hummingbirds visit here every year. They arrive approximately mid March and leave mid October. There are also many festivals in a close range or take a swamp tour to see the alligators. Check out Turtles bar and restaurant on the levy or The Butte bar 1 mile away. Our Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival and Lafayette's Festival International are famous and near by. In Acadiana there are so many festivals, too many festivals to mention. Enjoy some good food like boudin, cracklings or crawfish. Local Attractions include McGee's Louisiana Swamp Tours, Atchafalaya Basin Landing Swamp Tours, Turtles Bar on the Levee, The Butte Bar, Pat's Fisherman's Wharf Restaurant and the Atchafalaya Club (cajun bands and dancing), Crawfish Town USA Restaurant, Louisiana Marketshops at the 115 (arts, crafts and gifts) and more. Top Notch campsite and hosts
Everything went excellent. We were just a quick stop over for the night, but campsite and hosts were outstanding. Greeted by camp hosts upon arrival. I can't say enough good things about camp hosts Ginny and Scott. Thoughtfulness, friendliness is first 2 that come to mind. The Atchafalaya Basin area is beautiful and I would like to make a trip back to explore it, and definatley staying at Kickin it in the Butte again! Scotty is a wealth of information on area and gave first rate guidance in navigating New Orleans.

Ginny and Scotty were very friendly and hospitable. I was on a friend's trip with 3 others. We rented the RV on site which was perfect for our overnight stay. The RV was so cute and had everything we needed. We went to Pat's for dinner and ordered Ginny's recommendation - the crab cakes and the seafood gumbo with okra - Delish! Before the stay, they answered many questions and were even ready to act as a shuttle for our kayak camping excursion on Bayou Berard. I would come back and have already recommended this place to others.

The hosts were extremely kind and personable. The spot was great and we appreciated the electric hook up. We would stay there again!

RV Space Rental at the Butte
Easy access off the highway. Nice flat driveway with crushed stone. Having electric, water, and sewer hookups right there makes it very desirable. They also have many little touches like a fire pit, a hammock, tables and chairs and an outdoor barbecue grill. Enough lawn area to have your dog stretch out.

My husband and I had the most relaxing evening! Super cute little RV with everything you need! The hosts are hands down the most sweetest people around! I can’t say enough good things about the stay, the hosts, environment, and ….the food was incredible! ORDER THE FOOD!!
