Hello Hipcampers! Welcome to Cajun Country! We have one full service RV hookup space, we rent our own RV for use on site and we also offer in our home a very comfortable bedroom with a private bath for those that may need those arrangements. We are Scotty and Ginny and we are happy to meet you. Thank you for considering Kickin it in the Butte. Contact us anytime for more information, happy to oblige. Our location is in a camp style neighborhood with great neighbors, like you. Here you will get the rest and peace and quiet that you may need or our location can provide all the fun that you can handle. If you need one night or one week or longer we can work with you. Whatever it is that you need we are here to help you get what you want. We live on the Atchafalaya River Hwy. and our location is only 3.5 miles from I10 at Butte LaRose exit 121. Butte LaRose is located in the heart of Acadiana and in the heart of the Atchafalaya Basin, which is true cajun country. Hunting and fishing is the way of life, here. The Atchafalaya Basin is the nations largest river swamp containing almost one million acres of America's most significant bottom land hardwood swamps, bayous and backwater lakes. Many hummingbirds visit here every year. They arrive approximately mid March and leave mid October. There are also many festivals in a close range or take a swamp tour to see the alligators. Check out Turtles bar and restaurant on the levy or The Butte bar 1 mile away. Our Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival and Lafayette's Festival International are famous and near by. In Acadiana there are so many festivals, too many festivals to mention. Enjoy some good food like boudin, cracklings or crawfish. Local Attractions include McGee's Louisiana Swamp Tours, Atchafalaya Basin Landing Swamp Tours, Turtles Bar on the Levee, The Butte Bar, Pat's Fisherman's Wharf Restaurant and the Atchafalaya Club (cajun bands and dancing), Crawfish Town USA Restaurant, Louisiana Marketshops at the 115 (arts, crafts and gifts) and more. RV Space Rental at the Butte
Easy access off the highway. Nice flat driveway with crushed stone. Having electric, water, and sewer hookups right there makes it very desirable. They also have many little touches like a fire pit, a hammock, tables and chairs and an outdoor barbecue grill. Enough lawn area to have your dog stretch out.

My husband and I had the most relaxing evening! Super cute little RV with everything you need! The hosts are hands down the most sweetest people around! I can’t say enough good things about the stay, the hosts, environment, and ….the food was incredible! ORDER THE FOOD!!

The outdoor space was just what I needed! Ginny has set up her home to welcome the birds and it was a joy to hear all the different breeds sing their songs. The umbrella over the table meant I could sit outside during the rains and just relax. The RV worked well for my needs and has an excellent mattress. Ginny and her husband are excellent & friendly hosts.

The best get away My Husband and I have been to in years! I like tent camping He is from the city so it was a great compromise! Would recommend this place to family and friends and anyone looking for a place to take a break from everyday hustle and bustle and still feel like you are at home or at least still feel like you are around family! The host made us feel like we had known them all our lives

Ginny fix your location, and refund
Well, when I booked the reservation said I was 9 miles from the destination after I confirmed it found out I was 450 miles from the actual camping RV ground ground. I understand that strict Refund rules are poor students who obviously didn’t want to book a room 4 hrs away from our direction north. Definitely tell you about the I’ve been trying to get my refund since we slept on the beach. If I Got 50 bucks back. I’ll be singing the praises because, We booked it based on 9 miles away it Was the closest and the most Reasonable. And I realized I’m a fucking Asshole for a place without confirming a place without using my credit card that I can cancel the payment Don’t trust the Listing it might not be the closest thing. Complicated and I hate leaving y’all these meshes because I got sucked and fucked without lotion. Ginny never text me
