Megan was phenomenal, even before we booked! She was kind and responsive to all our questions. The site was perfect! Pictures do not do it justice. The fishing was phenomenal! Our arrival day was pretty windy following some rough storms. Even in the high winds, the fish were biting! The site is positioned in a way where the sunrise hits perfectly through the entrance of the site making for an almost magical morning. This was my son’s first camping trip. He’s already asking when we can return.

We had a great time, unfortunately our trip was cut short due to personal issues. Overall a great campsite and a great “getaway” that’s not so far away.

Willow Pond is a beautiful spot for a weekend getaway for a quick recharge in nature. There is enough room for a couple of tents but to not feel crowded. A picnic table and trash can (with trash bag!) were located at the site.
The location is easy enough to access from Louisville or Elizabethtown, but still maintains a rural seclusion. I enjoyed seeing various songbirds, ducks and a heron; in the evening I also heard turkey, coyote and an owl. The pond is small, but well stocked - we caught bluegill and bass various sizes.
Megan was very helpful with detailed directions and also responsive to any questions we had.
I definitely recommend Willow Pond to anyone looking for a quick refresh, and I will be back again!

This was our second stay at Rock Haven, and Lord-willing, will not be our last! This is truly the perfect campsite-it is secluded, has the woodsy feel that we love in a campsite, and as such is a total win for our kiddos to have lots of adventures in! The site has several areas that are ideal for making camp, but we love putting our tent nearby the awesome fire-pit and picnic table. Megan is an incredibly kind, generous, and thoughtful host, and there has been no kindness that could have been done during our stays that was left undone! Be sure to visit the pond and bring your fishing gear along, and while you're there, check out Megan's Willow Pond campsite as well-we've stayed there once as well, and it is great!

Absolutely loved staying here. It was a perfect location and was so beautiful! It was close enough where we could go to the store, but still felt like we were in our own world. We would love to come back.

This is our second stay with Megan, and we are already looking forward to our next trip! We’ve stayed at both Willow Pond and Rock Haven, and they are both INCREDIBLE sites! Being our first Rock Haven stay, we really enjoyed the cozy, forest feel of having our tent hidden away within the tree grove at Rock Haven, and loved the beautiful and large natural stone fireplace. Our children LOVED the canoe and fishing pond, and there were an abundance of beautiful, interesting birds-bird watchers should definitely bring binoculars to get an up-close view of the many species! We also really enjoyed the peaceful walk to the pond and back-the scenery on the farm is just beautiful. Megan is always so accommodating and friendly, and we feel like we are always right at home when we get to stay on this beautiful, peaceful property. We highly recommend this site for families, or anyone simply looking for an excellent place to unplug from the hustle and bustle of daily life-you will leave feeling refreshed and recharged, and looking forward to your next chance to visit!

This was a great weekend! We were in town for a baseball tournament - was about 15 min from Elizabethtown and the sport’s complex. The hosts were super nice - met us at arrival and available if needed. Spot is at the back of their property - private, well maintained & beautiful! We rented the canoe, the kids fished, had nice fires - we will definitely try to stay there again if we’re back in the area!

Some friends and I were cycling through Kentucky, and Megan's land was the perfect site at the end of a long day of riding. The pond really made it feel special, like we had our own little piece of nature. We had a campfire and soaked our feet in the water before turning in for a night of sleeping beneath the stars. I highly recommend this spot!

This is a wonderful, secluded campsite on a small pond. The site is in the midst of farm land and is accessible via a dirt/grass road behind the main farm buildings. There is also room to spread out if there is a larger group. Our host, Megan, was very helpful.

We were looking for a campsite that had level ground for our tent, a measure of privacy to have that “getting away from it all” feel, as well as access to fishing. Willow Pond has all of that and more! There are several wonderful areas around the pond that are great for tent camping with how level they are, but we highly recommend setting up right near the willow tree with the picnic table and large fire ring. This was our central location during our stay, where we gathered to eat meals, make s’mores, and sleep in the tent, but the pond was large enough for everyone to spread out while fishing with plenty of room to spare, and the children also had plenty of room to run and play! Our hosts were so kind and welcoming, and we so enjoyed the thoughtful touches our site included! We highly recommend the hay ride-it was so fun!!! This was our first visit to Willow Pond; but definitely won’t be our last! Be sure to bring binoculars and a field guide if you enjoy birding-we saw a large heron and a Pileated Woodpecker, and lots of other birds that would have been amazing to get a closer look at with binoculars!

We had the pleasure of spending the night at Taul Farms. The site was secluded, well maintained, and all the amenities we could have asked for. We had access to a sizable fire pit, picnic table, and trashcan on site. The site is close enough to town for easy access to anything you need, yet far enough away to enjoy a quiet peaceful night under the stars. The host was responsive and kindly answered any questions we had. If you plan to have a campfire, it is encouraged to bring your own firewood. We recommend this site to anyone looking for a simple and relaxing night out.

Super nice host and beautiful location. We had a nice spot by the pond with a perfect site for tents. This would be a great choice for a large family with several tents or a church group. My kids enjoyed it and asked to go back!
