Very cute little camping spot next to a beautiful little pond. Owners were very kind and helpful. We had a really wonderful and relaxing time.

Nice little place. Would be great for a concert. The frog sang to us all night. Porta-potties were clean.

We had the BEST time camping at the Kiln’s!! We will most certainly be coming back here the next time we camp at RRG. Kim was an incredible host and went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed! She checked in every day and was fantastic with our kiddos too :) we are so grateful for all the memories made at the Kiln’s and can’t wait to come back!!

Our second time camping here and it was just as good the first time!! Kimberly is always a great host and makes sure we have everything we need including firewood! She makes sure to check in with everyone upon arrival which always makes everything 10x easier for set up!

We had a wonderful stay at the Kilns! The location was incredibly convenient—just a short drive to many of the main attractions in Red River Gorge. The hostess, Kim, was very friendly and welcoming, and the overall environment was peaceful and relaxing. We especially appreciated the list of recommended locations she provided; it helped us make the most of our time exploring the area. Would definitely stay here again!

Hello;, the kilns saved us;, doing hiking in the area & we couldn’t find a ⛺️ campsite, went through hipcamp & found the kilns ;, we were very happy & Kimberly was awesome, plenty of fire 🔥 wood 🪵;, & a lot of info about the property 😊I would recommend the kilns for camping 🏕️ & the horses 🐎 were awesome 👍thank you Kim🥰

Land was beautiful! Horses were beautiful! It was so quiet and serene on the land. And close to gas and stores. Hosts were so sweet. They told us about the horses and their names. Kim was very welcoming. She offered to give us a canopy for the rain, she let us use the music stage to hang out hammocks and cook. She even let us plug our electric vehicle into the music stage. We had a wonderful stay, would highly recommend :)

It was a hidden gem! Very peaceful and secluded yet, close to all the places of interest. Extra bonus - generously large plots. Can’t say enough about the host; very attentive and friendly. Thank you for a great stay!!

This is a fantastic campsite in a great location to Red River. We were able to get up and make it to our favorite trail in 10 minutes. Host greeted us at a late hour. Was very kind, helpful & very quick communication. Also gave us a great map with recommendations. Campsites are spread out, quiet, with a large firepit and a great view of the stars. Bathrooms were very clean and WiFi worked well. Would recommend to anyone.

Nice property, wide open lots, tons of firewood and great hospitality and recommendations. Kim is an amazing host and we had a great time. It is central to the RRG area. The only drawback is you can sometimes hear the highway noise, but not late. Overall, an awesome place to unwind and enjoy the Gorge.

Very pretty area. Host Kim and her daughter were very nice and very helpful. They gave out maps to hiking trails that were very helpful and answered any questions. Would definitely return to camp

The Kilns Hipcamp was probably one of the best we have ever stayed at. Great hospitality and very helpful. Definitely a great place for camping and for overlanding in Jeeps. Kim the owner made sure we were all set and guided us around the property. Gave us a map of things to do in area and was super friendly and down to earth. We will be back again hands down! Trails for Jeeping are close by as well. Thank you Kim for the wonderful time

Kim was WONDERFUL! I just so happen to be there during a really bad tornado warning storm... Kim made sure I was safe and comfortable. The next day the storm had unfortunately caused a lot of damage to the property... Kim made sure my friends and I were able to make it to our planned events and let them park in her driveway and give us rides back and forth to and from their car to the camp site. The property of breathtaking. I can't wait to visit again. ♥️

The kids and I had a lovely stay at the Kilns. 😊 Our hosts were friendly, relaxed, and so thoughtful! We really appreciated that firewood was free because we were using it to cook our meals! Scott even delivered dry wood and kindling when ours got rained on! We did have to get some earplugs for the spring frogs at night but loved hearing the sounds of nature. We weren't bothered by any mosquitoes. It was a perfect close spot for visiting the RRG too! Lots of positives about this site and would recommend. We camped under the chestnut tree because we knew there was some rain in the forecast.

The Kilns is a beautiful piece of land just ten minutes from the Red River Gorge, which was an amazing arrangement for us hikers. Kimberly was so welcoming and kind. On arrival, she gave us a whole guide packet for our stay, including a map, a list of nearby recommended restaurants, recommended hikes, and even a sticker for our water bottles. A thunderstorm hit on our second night and Kim generously let us move our tent under an awning on their property. With plenty of firewood available and a clean port-a-potty, we’d definitely stay again. Regarding the frogs: yes, they are very loud! You will not be able to ignore them, but we considered them a feature of the land and Kim warned us ahead of time that they’d be making noise. We brought ear plugs and had no trouble getting to sleep (bring them if you stay here).

Kimberly is a gracious hostess and was very helpful with recommendations on things to see for this first time visitor to Red River Gorge. Her recommendations for restaurants (Miguel’s!) and coffee (Daniel Boone Coffee house!) were spot on, as well.

Kimberly and her husband Scott are amazing, they left nothing to want for. I don't even know how to describe this place. The picture do no justice if your looking for small private camping, this is it. In the center of so much to do, the area is absolutely beautiful.
I spent a week of vacation here and do not regret even the rainy days. We sat under our canopy and enjoyed it, drinking our coffee.
The free fire wood was beyond appreciated!
Thanks for all the hard work to keep us stocked.
By the way early spring brings on a music simphony of it's own there. Between the crickets and the frogs a radio was not needed.
One more of nature's best, being there.
Not sure when I'll be back, but I can't wait!

What a great place! Kim and Scott are the best! Scott kept checking on us to be sure we had everything we needed. The free firewood is a nice touch. It’s a beautiful property with a small pond. We will definitely be back!

As a seasoned hipcamper, this has to be my favorite site so far. Kim and Scott were beyond amazing hosts. They started a fire for us and provided so many accommodations due to the crazy weather during our stay. They are so friendly and welcoming. If you are looking for somewhere that is central to all of the best hikes that Red River Gorge has to offer, this is the ideal site. I will absolutely be booking at the Kilns again.
