The Harrican
My parents and my family of 5 camped for 2 nights in our small RVs at Harrican. Upon arrival, Bridgett led us to the sunset lookout spot to setup. It was so pretty and private. We had plenty of flat space to hang and play. We walked to the mile long river hike other reviewers have noted. It was a perfect total length (3.2 miles) and a water feature is always a hit on hikes with the kids. I would definitely recommend this special secluded spot to friends!

This property is absolutely beautiful — full of rolling hills, wide-open views, and big, mature trees that make it feel tucked away and peaceful. The layout gives everyone plenty of space; even with other campers on site, it felt private and quiet.
We camped at the top of the hill with a few tents and one small camper. The drive up has a little terrain to navigate, but it wasn’t difficult at all — we even made it in the dark without trouble. You’ll be greeted by a couple of friendly, playful dogs when you arrive, so be sure to drive slowly through the entrance.
The hosts were fantastic — very friendly and quick to respond to every message. It really made the experience feel welcoming and easy.
There’s also a nice trail within walking distance that leads down to the river. It’s a moderately rugged path but totally worth it, with a great spot to relax once you reach the bottom.
If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic spot with kind hosts and plenty of space to unwind, this Hipcamp is a gem. We’d definitely come back!

We stayed on Sunset point, which was absolutely gorgeous! It’s a bit of a hilly drive to the site but worth it. There is hiking access down to the river that we enjoyed. Bridgett is super accommodating and helpful! She and her pups brought us a nice bundle of firewood, and we enjoyed the private, amazing views!

We stayed at Sunset Point and it was amazing! Ground was relatively flat and we had plenty of space to set up our tents. The views were great and we understand why it's called Sunset Point! Bridgette was super helpful and even came to check on us the first night to make sure that we didn't need anything. We will be back!

Great spot and beautiful view. I really enjoyed camping right there on the farm. The goats kept me company and the dogs made me feel safe. Bridgett is so friendly and helpful. I even got to meet her father who is over 90! What a treat. One can feel the love on this family farm.

This was a very private and peaceful place. Met with host upon arrival. Host provided us with ideas and options for things we may want to check out. You do not see host again unless you need something. No other campers were around us during our stay. River was about a mile walk down from where we set up camp. Perfect litte area by the river to get in if you needed to cool off. Just remeber that what hikes down must then hike back up. The view from the tent was beautiful and peaceful every morning. We would love to see this place again in the fall. Perfect campsite, Excellent views, and a great host!!!

Beautiful beautiful place! The walk down to the river is gorgeous with the mossy boulders and little waterfalls. The waterfalls were a great surprise. We spent a few hours just exploring the woods, creeks, and cliffs. We loved having the whole place to ourselves and look forward to returning.

Not only was this one of the most BEAUTIFUL properties I've ever seen, but Bridgett was absolutely INCREDIBLE. The most generous & hospitable hostess I've ever had. She went above & beyond to make me & my dog feel so welcomed & completely comfortable on her land. We had the BEST experience & will undoubtedly be back...sooner than later I hope! I cannot say enough good things here...just so awesome!!! ❤️

Bridget was a great host who welcomed us even with our late arrival. Plenty of room to maneuver a 34 foot camper and get a spot with a beautiful view. Wood was at site upon arrival. Had about a mile hike to river and seemed like a two mile hike back. Very safe and well maintained trail. Such a beautiful hike and good times enjoying skipping rocks and cooling down in the river. Brought my family of 8 and definitely would visit again.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever been! Bridgett is a fabulous host, her property is gorgeous, the site is private but accessible. Absolutely stay if your travel plans take you anywhere near this spot. I plan to make a return trip just to stay again at this slice of heaven on earth

There are a lot of options to choose from on a place to camp. Wooded, open field, on a cliff, good sunset, good sunrise, your choice. Awesome host that ensures you have everything you need and very friendly. Highly recommended. If you need a place to camp, go here!

The Harrican
This is a beautiful place, but heads up. The outhouse is falling in and should not be used; the weeds are an option but are a poison ivy haven. There is one place for a hammock but the trees are entwined with poison ivy.
The listed Native American rock bluff canyon is beautiful but also being used as a brush and vintage garbage dump. There are livestock dogs that are vigilant in running off dangers and do bark throughout the night doing their job. The host is very nice. Water was readily accessible. View is beautiful.

We saw a doe with her fawn crossing the field. It was beautiful and peaceful. Bring some bug spray and you will be happy :)

It was great upon arriving! I enjoyed meeting the pups and exploring the property. The cabin and pond are so cute and fun to venture around. I loved the spot I stayed at. It has an amazing view and the sunset was awesome. Bridgett was so kind and helpful and even showed me a hidden canyon area with rock outcroppings. I enjoyed the fireflies at night, pretty sure I heard an owl and the stars were brilliant. Woke up to the smell of honeysuckle after a peaceful nights rest. Most importantly, as a solo female traveler I felt safe and had plenty of private space. I really loved that Bridgett checked on me via text before bed too to make sure I was doing well. Very kind and thoughtful.
