The property adjoins our family pumpkin farm where we have miniature Zebu cattle, mini horses and mini goats. There is109 acres, 91 acres of which is dense woods with plenty of trails to explore. While completely isolated and secluded, it is still close to town and highways/railway, so there will be typical sounds associated with those. Learn more about this land: Absolute seclusion on the Bourbon Trail and only 4.5 miles from town. Only two designated site on 109 total acres…or, find/make your own spot in the dense woods. Park at the host residence and a short hike in is required. There is a strong 5G signal, and each site includes a fire ring and picnic table. The closest site has an outdoor shower. There are three miles of easy walking/biking trails through the woods. Salt River (off site) is less than a mile away and offers a popular kayak launch location, and an amazing destination just a little further down the road where you can drive in the river (see pics).  Four Roses Distillery is .4 miles off site and within walking/ biking distance down Bondsmill Rd. The property is almost entirely wooded and borders the Norfolk Southern railway. Some locations are within 100yds of the railway, where you can see the train through the trees as it passes by. Other areas are much further away.    Be warned! Lawrenceburg KY is known for it's Wildman Days Festival because of the high volume of Bigfoot sightings in the area, and there have been multiple, documented sightings on this property. Firewood available for a small fee upon request. Preview of sites by ATV tour *may* be available during daylight hours. This is primitive camping and you will be surrounded by wildlife, chiggers, ticks and anything else that creeps in the woods. No electric. Hike in/out only.  Leave no trace.

2nd stay and just as enjoyable as the first. Walking the trails I saw a turkey and three deer.

8 minute walk/hike to first camp site. plenty of firewood, fire pit in gravel area, table, outdoor shower and surrounded by trees. Hopefully going back real soon!

Wonderful Campsite! Excellent Host
This is an excellent campsite! I booked a weekend here to give myself an opportunity to test out some new camping gear that I recently bought. The campsite itself is great, and as an added bonus, there are plenty of well marked trails that gave me a fantastic opportunity to test out my boots as well as practice carrying my 75L backpack. Sam is a wonderful host and was incredibly responsive during the days leading up to my booking and incredibly hospitable during my stay. I cannot say enough good things about the property itself or Sam! Even though I initially booked these two nights for the purpose of trying out my gear before I go on an extended backpacking excursion, I definitely intend to make this campsite one that I visit again in the near future!

What a wonderful spot. Sam has done such a nice job with this spot. It really felt as if no one was around. Even the site was secluded from the main trail. The train that goes by is not blaring loud, and does not come by at inappropriate times. There is a shower available to rinse yourself off. Sam was so nice and accommodating. He doesn't want to make money off this, just share what he has. We will be back!

Sam went above and beyond to accommodate us and make sure we settled in to our campsite. He helped us hike into our spot and drove his side by side down to the spot with all of our things. He even started a little fire for us before we got there! His property is beautiful and the secluded campsite was great for us and our 2 doggies. One thing to note, the railroad is pretty close to the campsite, but it didn’t change our overall awesome experience. Thanks Sam for everything. We loved every minute!

Family camping trip
We had an absolutely wonderful time! The host was incredibly nice, made sure we had firewood, and helped bring our stuff to the site (short walk from parking was very easy), and the site itself was perfect. Our son and dog had a blast and our son already wants to go back. If I *had* to complain about something, it would be ticks and train sounds. Just gotta bring better bug spray and earplugs next time, because there will DEFINITELY be a next time! Thanks again Sam for creating such a nice place and sharing it with others.

Sam is a great host. The property is beautiful and the stars looked amazing. The campsite was a little far from parking spot but lead to a peaceful, secluded area to pitch a tent and enjoy the woods

Secluded Cedar Woods
Great secluded camp spots well defined with Adirondack chairs and a fire pit. Sam even provided some dry wood. This is a great special spot. As with any outdoors camping be mindful of poison ivy. Lots of options for hammock camping. Picnic table at spot too, extra bonus.

2 amazing camp sites 1 hour drive from Louisville! Sam was a great host that really went out of his way to ensure our stay was exceptional. He met us upon arrival and gave us a tour including meeting the mini cows, ponies, and goats. We got to pick between 2 sites which both had chairs, a table, and fire pit. Sam then took our heavier gear to our site of choice. There’s a mile loop that we walked a few times while the dogs explored. Only small downside is road/train noise which Sam was very transparent about. Also be prepared for ticks, but this is any site in the area, especially in the spring.

Incredibly hospitable and lovely host with a GORGEOUS property. Waking up to the sound of goats and birds in the distance was magical. My van got stuck in the mud and SAM not only offered to drive me out of my mess but also made sure I was located in the best possible spot to prevent further potential to get stuck. Absolutely recommend.

Seclusion at it’s finest!
One of the BEST camping spots we’ve ever been to!! Only 15 mins away from Versailles and 28 mins away from Lexington yet still in the country with wildlife and not one soul in sight is hard to find! When we first arrived, Sam guided us back to our designated spot which was immaculate! There was an area for a campfire, 3 chairs, a picnic table and two designated tent spots. The area was cleared out with solar lights attached to the soaring high cedar trees that literally surrounded you! We brought our own firewood but since it had rained earlier in the day most of it was wet so Sam brought us some dry firewood to get our fire going! With storms quickly approaching for the night we stuck it out and had one of the best camping experiences EVER! You can tell the love Sam and his wife have for their property (which is a guarantee that your site will be well thought out and take care of!). Their knowledge of the trails and way around was great to know!!! If you’re looking for a place that’s COMPLETELY secluded and in amazing shape then this place is for you! We will DEFINITELY be back!! -Travis & Mercedes

Sam's campsite
Sam and his family were extremely hospitable, we had some set back and arrived later than we wanted and still they took care of helping us find a great campsite in the dark and even helped us take our gear out in his ATV. The campsites are amazing and well maintained, my friends and I had a great experience. In the morning Sam's wife and father helped us get everything back to the car and on top of that they were kind enough to let us feed their animals; mini goats, cows and horses. Hope to stay again with them in the future.

Privacy and hospitality - ⭐️
Sam was very hospitable and friendly! He had a log of great suggestions on local activities and his tent site was 100% secluded from other campsites. It was a perfect getaway.
