Rush Creek RV Campsite

Site 5 had lots of yellow jackets and no internet. So I moved to site one. Less bees but internet still very spotty. It wouldn’t have mattered but I didn’t have cell service either.

The site was very easy and accessible to enter, and the hookups were great. Our neighbors in the campsite next to us, who are full time were very helpful and wonderful to speak with. The WiFi did not work at all, and there is no cell service. The location is remote, and many neighbors with politically affiliated signage. Several of the houses in the area were unkept. None of these concerns are the fault of the campsite owner, but it made us question our stay.

I needed a spot for the night while moving from PA to KS. The owner gave us an extra space so we could park the moving trailer next to us. Very accommodating and met our needs.

We stayed over memorial wknd, found out sxs are not allowed to be driven in the road , but as stated when we booked there was access to rush off road park…. Ya if you want a ticket or have it impounded. The 2nd day we were there the cops got called on us, as we were getting ready to leave police showed up explaining everything to us. The locals will be watching you and will call , beware if you attempt this. Also the “private campsite was less to be desired , the price we pay it should have looked like the rest of the sites with gravel and not have grass and weeds all over the place as you come out of your camper or around the hookups

Pretty good campground. Other than electric is only 30 amp. Would like it to be 50 amp and the grass needed mowed

First off I had site 5 booked and showed up to find the spot to be occupied and this is a very remote place no cell service to call I was lucky to get to make a call to the number on the sign to find out it had been double booked and I had drove 3 hours to get here the owner allowed me to move spots to fix the first thing Second thing site only has 30 amp service was not stated in the listing my camper really needed a 50 service I was able to use 30 Third thing the sewage hook up is way to high out the ground needs to be lowered Last thing there was WiFi we was told but u can’t use very weak broadcast But at the end of the day it worked and and I was able to complete my vacation to rush off road

Sites have improved since my last stay. The new gravel is very loose, had to use 4x4 to keep from digging into gravel and tearing it up. Dump station are still too high. You have keep lifting the hose to clear it out. Nothing major, I’m sure I’ll be back. Hope sites continue to improve.

Close to town and you can ride the roads to the trails for Rush. Full hookup! We will for sure stay there again :)

Perfect location for just camping or to attend the rush off-road park I’ll most definitely be using this location for all the events at off-road park 10/10 rating for sure

I love the place, best of both worlds. You get to be surrounded by nature but only 15 minutes away from stores, wal mart, movie theater. Easy access makes parking a breeze. Im definitely stayung here again.

Just a place to sit in your RV and relax or to go to sleep. Use the campground to stay at while visiting all the caves and hiking nearby. The large gravel rock situation has been resolved. Just small gravel rocks now, which is great! The electricity posts are still super low to the ground so I was a little concerned when it was pouring down rain that water might get into my electrical cord and causing issues. As far as the dump receptacle being above the ground, I’m used to that at so many places I stay that it doesn’t phase me to have to lift the hose up to get the sewer dumped. There is a man across the street in a mobile home that directed me into my spot and he’s there and his daughter if you need any assistance with anything if you can’t get hold of Salvador immediately. There is road noise because the gravel campground is directly off the street. The noise doesn’t bother me, but if someone’s a light sleeper, it could be an issue. As far as a place for dogs or children to play, there really isn’t any other than the gravel parking lot. There is a little bit of grass that is not roped off for your dogs to go to the bathroom but there’s nowhere to walk them. Most of the property is roped off. All in all though, it was a perfectly fine spot and I would stay again.

Nice level, quiet and easy to get in and out. Only flaws would be the provided Wi-Fi didn’t reach us and not cell service but other than that very nice place and people.

This campground is an awesome place to camp. Truly off the beaten path yet a 10 minute drive will take you to " civilization"(convenient stores,gas stations, Walmart,etc.). It's approximately 1 mile from Rush Off-road 4 wheeling. Super quiet place. It's a wonderful place to camp.

Power panel on pole has conduits pulled out of meter box. Sign for camp site is to small, I could not see it very well. Trash box lid torn off. The price for site was $64 which was a lot more then one I had the other night of $46 and they had a swimming pool. I could not get the wi fi to work with the TV the other places did. This is something that cannot be fixed, that is the road leading to the site is to narrow for campers. I would never stay at this place again and would not recommend it for anyone else It was the worst RV campground I have ever stayed at. It also had no shower or public restrooms.

My son and I stayed at Rush Creek Campground two nights while off -roading at Rush ORP. We found the campground to be well kept and easy to get in and out of even with a 34' camper and a 16' trailer with a Jeep on it. The Wi-fi was strong enough to stream TV shows and the service hook ups worked perfectly. Most surprising was the sewer connection as Hipcamp listed the site with no sewers. We will definitely be back.

The site was in a very convenient distance from the interstate for an overnight stay. Unfortunately the parking area had very little gravel which was oversized and a great deal of mud. Basically you step out of the camper into mud and the conditions for parking a camper are rough. The site has potential and hopefully the owner will finish it at some point.

Campsite seemed like it was thrown together by someone with no experience with RV Electrical and Sewage systems, hookups were located on wrong side of the campers, sewage hookups were 8-14 inches above ground making draining you black and gray tanks almost impossible. Spots were covered with 2-3 inch gravel rocks making walking dangerous, and site is 2 miles from Rush trailheads. While you could drive your SXS there on highway, it’s against the law.

No complaints with Sal, he was very nice. However the campsite has large size gravel which is difficult to walk on, and the hook ups are on the wrong side unless unit is pulled in instead of backed in. These are not pull through sites and hook up is very inconvenient. If all Hipcamp campgrounds are like this one we won’t be using them.

There was no visible sign stating the site was a camp ground. It is literally gravel on side of the road like a driveway. My husband and I twisted ankle too many times to count because the gravel that was used was fist size chunks of gravel. ALL the hook ups were on the wrong side of camp sites and the sewage hook up was so high that even with my hose support it was still at least 3 inches too low. The wifi had no signal. The host is not even on site he lives in Florida.

Great place to stay that’s close to rush off-road. Only thing I’d suggest is more gravel and top large stone that is there with smaller gravel. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Location, Be Prepared.

Let me start by saying that i would likely stay here again the next time i visit Rush but there are a few things that need improved and some things campers need to know. *Utility connections (water & electric) are too close to the ground. My surge protector was laying on the ground when connected to the electric panel. The water connection did not fit both a pressure regulator and filter. I was able to make these work, but campers should be prepared with adapters or flexible with their connections. *Sewer connection is too far above grade. The connection was a good 10-18 inches above grade. This places the sewer connection to the septic above the RV connection level. This means you have to lift your sewer hose in order for it to drain properly. No amount of sewer line supports can make up for this. *Electric, Water & Sewer connections are on the wrong side of the RV. Most US made RV's have these connections on the right side of the RV (when facing the unit from the front). All connections at all sites are on the left meaning you have to run these connections under your RV. *The entire campsite is #2 stone. If you aren't familiar with this, they are commonly referred to as 'Ankle Breakers'. The entire campground needs top covered and graded with #7 stone. *Areas that isn't #2 stone is just mud. *Sites are plenty big, my truck and trailer combo is 50ft. and i easily had extra room. *Location is excellent, can't get a campsite much closer to Rush
