Peaceful Getaway

Memorial fishing weekend!

Site # 2 is where we stayed. There were lots of fish to catch! Communication with host was superb! Check in was smooth as well. When we arrived we were greeted by the camp host who answered all the questions we had and even let us borrow her coffee mug! Thanks Jenny 🥰. Firewood was available for purchase but no worms for bait. So come prepared with bait. Bathrooms were clean and the property was safe and peaceful.

Awesome place!!! Very well taken care of and so peaceful. Plenty of spots to fish and great fire pits for that night time relaxation. Definitely check this place out.

Campground was clean bathroom had flush toilet and sink which was nice. Cabin was a great option I stayed there the last three nights of my trip when I had camper issues. Will stay here again.

Very nice location. I personally didn’t do any fishing, but I could hear them splashing around when it was dark out. Another camper said they caught a lot of big cats over the past week. Very clean, level gravel, and will definitely go again in the future.

A wonderful getaway!

We stayed in the cabin for a week and it was wonderful! I can't say enough good things about Bill, the owner and Jeanie & Mike, long term RV'ers. They made us feel so welcomed and were right there if we needed anything. It is so peaceful and relaxing there. The fishing was great. My hubby caught about 25 nice-sized catfish and I caught several bluegill while there. There are kayaks to use and an outdoor kitchen with propane grill, Blackstone griddle and a sink. Two lakes and a pond provided plenty of space to fish. The cabin has a small refrigerator, small microwave, sink, shower and flushing toilet. There is also a TV with DVD's. Linens and towels/wash cloths are provided. Firewood is available for a small fee and even nightcrawlers to purchase right there. We can't wait to go back!

Can’t wait to come back!

We loved our cabin rental! A great romantic weekend getaway for the hubby and me. We loved it so much, we rented it again for 2 weeks later. Can’t wait for our follow-up visit. This place is great time or shine. Excellent camp hosts who are very informative and accommodating. Primitive sites are the largest we’ve seen with access to hot water nearby (we are avid tent campers). All hookup sites have a view of a large lake. We had access to 3 lakes and we caught fish in all. We utilized the grills (regular grill and blackstone), the camp sink, used the kayaks with several life jackets available You can purchase firewood and utilize all grilling equipment. For primitive campers, you have access to a private restroom with sink and hot water. My favorite part was the parks mascot- a rooster!!

Bill has a wonderfull retreat! Mike a Jenie our camp neighboors were the best.I will bring my pup Pepper next time mose(their dog) lol highly reccommend this spot.nice drive to beaver damn ampitheater where we say foghat!

Lake View long term camping

Bill was very patient and kind even after us being quite late! He stayed to help us get set up and learn the camp grounds!!! The camp ground is absolutley beautiful, serene, and lots of extras that made it a perfect weekend to relax! We went fishing, kayaking and met some really nice people!!!! The pictures do not do it justice!!!!! We’ve already made plans to go back !!!!

We loved RVing on Bill’s land! It was stunning, peaceful, and quiet. The lake was so beautiful and ideal for fishing and kayaking. The toilet was spotless and easy to find. Bill was so friendly and helpful.

Lake View camping Day of fishing

We enjoyed our stay at the lakeside cabin! The cabin itself was cozy and clean. The lake itself was serene and great to fish on. My only complaint was the pull out bed was difficult to sleep on. Overall, we loved our time and would absolutely come back.

We went for 1 overnight, loved it. This little cabin is very nice inside. Very up to date and clean! (Nicer than most motels) Check in was a breeze. Quiet rural atmosphere, 2 kayaks to use, grill, firewood available on-site. Cabin and campsites are right on the lake. We didn't fish this time, but we'll be back.

What stood out is the Ideas the host has about developing this site. It is a work in progress but we liked it. The lake was nice and it was clean and quiet. It is off the beaten path but not far from a gas station and Dollar store.

Lake front tent site 1

Beautiful campsite right on the lake! Property was very clean and had all the amenities - the bathroom is great with a flushing toilet, sink, and motion activated lights at night. We didn’t use the kitchen but looked really nice as well. Fishing was GREAT! We caught several bass and catfish, and it was the perfect opportunity to teach our youngest with all the bluegill in the lake too. I will add to what others said and agree we felt very safe here and it was very private. I booked both tent sites 1&2, and would say it’s worth the extra $$ to do that if you want the entire side bank of the lake to yourself for camping (RV sites are across).

Sites are being developed. Site 2 well graveled with water & electric; beautiful view of the fishing pond. GPS directions were wrong; signage at the Stop sign would have been helpful. Not Big Rig friendly. 28’ Class A with difficulty going up incline when leaving. Narrow 2lane country roads made it an interesting ride 😵‍💫. Better suited for destination camping vs just an overnight (like us). Owner helpful & pleasant.
