For a family with small kids, this couldn’t have been a better setup! My kids(5 & 7 years old) got to hold baby animals, swim, jump on trampolines, play on playgrounds, and run around until their little legs just couldn’t run anymore. This area is so private, we just had a handful of other families camping so we didn’t have to stress about heavy traffic or people. The hosts couldn’t have been nicer, the true definition of southern hospitality. They brought us so many things, went and blew up some massive bounce houses for the kids to play in, and ran to town to get ice cream everyone. My kids are already begging to go back and we’ve only been home for a few hours 😂 They had blackstones, grills, a fridge and a great covered area to eat meals and hang out.
The literal only thing I’d say is you are on a working farm, you will have some animal noise around while you’re sleeping, but with a white noise machine we had zero issue sleeping through it. We went fully expecting that, and my kids were so excited to see animals it was totally worth it.

Wow! It was a lovely experience Judy was amazing and my little brother really enjoyed the toy playroom and all the activities that he was able to do!!! We will definitely be back!! My only suggestions is to put out like a Howell Cattle Company sign because it was a little hard to find and if your taking directions to get there do them to Howell Cattle Company because it’ll take you directly there instead of the address recommended here (I don’t know if it was only our experience but the address provided here took us the wrong way)!

Howell Cattle Farm Retreat
We enjoyed our 3 days at Judy's farm. We were the only campers, sharing the bathroom with other residents. For our 3 little kids the playground and the proximity with animals were a must. We put our tent near the entrance, oriented on a beautifil view on the fields. We had access to a fridge an a grill, electricity, table, trash... the only thing that could complete this well equiped site would be a sink with running water to be able to wash the dishes or take water for cooking and cleaning (Larger than the bathroom vanity). Judy was really kind and went regularly ask if we needed anything. A perfect site for family!

This was the best camping experience we have ever had with our children! We all had such a fun time staying on Judy and Arnold's property. We have never met such genuinely kind people before and can't wait to come back one day. I feel like we came as friends and left as family!

Howell Cattle Farm Retreat
We loved camping on this farm! The hosts were so generous to open the shelter house to us during a rainy day. They also set up a large water play inflatable slide for the kids to enjoy. We loved petting the farm animals including some young puppies and young piglets. We all had a blast! Thank you!!

Excellent expérience in this place.
À lot of games for kids and adult, including a pool, trampoline, toy car…
A lot of animals in the farms.
All amenities to enjoy your stay (bbq, firepit, toilets, shower, covered place to eat…).
Not so easy to access especially with a RV (dirty road).

We had a lovely one night stay in the tiny house and our hosts were absolutely gems. The kids had a wonderful time in the morning helping with chores and seeing the baby animals! We can’t wait to come stay again!

The farm was awesome! Everything you need to have an amazing time away from the city with your family. The family was sweet and helpful going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. My family and I had a great time hanging out and playing on the property.

This place is great to take your children. There is a playground, pool, farm animals and games. The bathrooms were clean. The hosts are very welcoming and I enjoyed meeting them. I will definitely be coming back again!

We had a lot of fun at Howell Cattle Farm! Great amenities and so much for the kids to do. Even though the weather didn’t cooperate like we had hoped, we still had a great time. We also really appreciated the clean bathrooms!

We definitely had the best farm experience. You will see much more than what is in the pictures and comments. I have never had such a hospitality experience before. To feel in your own home, to feel yourself a very valuable guest. They shared all their beautiful energies with us. I can't thank you enough. You have given us the warmth of a family. My son had many experiences for the first time in his life. We will never forget this experience and I wish everyone to meet these beautiful people who have never lived on this farm even for a day in their life. We will be there again as soon as possible. Thank Arnold and Cudy. You are amazing. I appriciate for everyhing. Miss you already.

I am content in knowing that we found the absolute best family farm experience! Hands on time with healthy animals, beautiful land, fishing, fresh eggs, porch swings, picnic tables, playgrounds, sandbox, pool, trampoline, basketball, carpet ball, volleyball, campfires- with wood, Great his/hers bathrooms with showers/toiletries/linens, covered recreation area with TV/dvds and cooking options in case of rain, electric at site with water nearby— better than any campground we’ve ever attended- and we travel months out of the year! Our first night, our hosts Arnold and Judy invited us in for a huge buffet dinner! They let our daughter bottle feed a calf, and gather fresh eggs. They treated us like family and treated our daughter like a granddaughter. They follow the saying “treat people how you want to be treated”! They are fantastic hosts with fabulous adult children following in their footsteps! We will remember our stay for a lifetime and will always long to go back!

This was our favorite hipcamp stay so far. Traveled with my son. We loved the bunk house. It was comfortable and so cute. We enjoyed being able to have a fire in the fire pit, playing carpet ball, basketball, and seeing all the animals. We even got to help bottle feed a calf! The host family was very kind and welcoming. We will definitely return one day soon!

Our family had so much fun! There is so much for the kiddos to do and enjoy. And plenty of space for adults to relax and still watch the kiddos play like laying underneath the beautiful Willow tree! You won't regret your stay! We will def be back, and bringing our friends with!

This was the perfect place to take a glamping vacation or a good camping trip whatever you prefer. We did both. We loved the land and the host. We had everything we needed and then some. Great place to spend quality time with your family and friends. We had our 4th of July party there and it was the best time. The pool was wonderful and my teenagers pretty much took advantage of it the entire time. The bounce houses and slides were an amazing experience for the littles. The adults enjoyed cornhole, basketball, music and movies and so much more! We all enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. Oh yeah let’s not forget that they have pigs, chickens and cows & allowed us to participate. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to another ppl infested campground. I felt like part of the family and anything I needed the host made sure I had it. I have zero complaints and we had quite the crowd. Thank you again for having us!

We loved our stay at Howell Cattle Farm Retreat! From the moment we arrived our host greeted us and made us feel at home for the next 4 days. Cannot say enough about the hospitality we experienced during our stay. Our camping spot was perfectly shaded by two large trees. You can visit the cows and fainting goats at the barn, and there is an awesome shelter house with plenty of tables, two fridges, a grill, and a griddle. Lots more at the shelter to experience also. Shower/toilet facility was clean and more than adequate. Oh - “Bear” the dog, was the perfect addition to the weekend. He’s elderly and will take as much love as you can give him, however he will leave you alone if you tell him to “Go away!” The location worked well for our visit back to my hometown, and day-trip to Red River Gorge/Natural Bridge area. Will surly go back sometime.

The family's hospitality was genuine and attentive to our needs. They even asked if we needed extra blankets since we were camping in a tent overnight.
They brought over a fire pit and plenty of wood to enjoy our evening under an incredible canopy of stars on display in the night sky. Fireflies danced in the nearby fields.
We enjoyed visiting the chickens, ducks, turkey, goats and the kennel of playful pups. Cows mooed happily in the distance.
Separate bath house gives you privacy and the pavillion has tons of picnic tables, grills, and shared use fridges. Electric outlets available for your gadgets. They even had carpetball which we played at our Adirondack camp in NY years ago. What a blast!

This place is a gem. We came here w my cousin and her family for Memorial Day weekend. The family is SOOOO accomodating, they let us feed and pet the animals, came down to see if we needed anything, brought us wood, super nice people. The weather wasn't the best so having 2 large sheds that had games(air hockey, fooseball, carpet ball among other types of games), puzzles, crafts, movies, just about anything anyone would want was our saving grace. It was so peaceful, no one else around except the mooing cows. There was 1 other tent camper there w us, she joined us at the firepit (we invited her to), we basically had the place to ourselves. There's a big covered area that has picnic tables, fridge, TV, DVD player, my cousins set up their tent under it due to the weather. There's a sand volleyball court, basketball hoop, playground, no one will get bored. There's a town about 15-20 min away where we got gas, otherwise you're off the beaten path. Kevin was amazing w communication, his mom, Judy, is just so nice, their kids help tend the farm. Please stay with these wonderful people, you won't regret it.

Howell Cattle Farm Retreat
Loved our camping experience at the Howell Family Farm!! This is a great place to camp with kids. Our kids loved feeding the cows and goats and collecting eggs. We will always remember all the Barn cat and kitten snuggles. Still surprised my daughter didn’t sneak one of the kittens in the van. The game sheds were a great bonus since it was rainy and wet for our weekend. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Wonderful camping weekend for us here!

Kevin and his family were amazing hosts… very kind and generous. Their property is peaceful and well kept. I was on my own, but still enjoyed playing with the kittens and petting the goats and calves.
It also rained significantly while I was there, but they have covered space and indoor activities for kids of all ages.
I highly recommend this place especially for families!
