My grandparents, Donald Clayton Russell & Jewel Geneva (Davis) Russell, purchased this little piece of heaven to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cincinnati life. Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family. Guests love staying here "We stayed in Birdsong cabin for the Halloween campout weekend. The cabin was ready for us upon arrival and very clean. We enjoyed the privacy of our covered porch and fire ring. The bird feeders hanging all around the cabin are wonderful to watch all the birds during the day. The community fire ring is close enough to enjoy with other campers, but not to close that we could hear anyone in our cabin. Amber and Michael checked on our needs many times during our stay. They hosted a chili cook-off that we greatly enjoyed and passed out candy to all the kids. Overall a great time and experience. We will stay here again."

Riverbank Overlook with Electric ⚡️
Best memories
We had a wonderful experience and the best communication with Amber. She is very responsive and went out of her way to check in with us to be sure we had all we needed. She even loved on my son and gave him a critter catcher so he could go around the campground catching all sorts of fun bugs and creepy crawlers. We spent some time on the trails and Mike was the perfect tour guide. Oh, and I know this is weird because I hate using outdoor bathrooms, but seriously the cleanest ones I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend this place! You won’t regret it.

Site 3 - Full Hook Up RV Parking
Great Stay for Family & Pets! ;)
Absolutely loved Clayton Geneva. Amber was a wonderful hostess! We have a farm ourselves so felt right at home with the chickens, cats and corn field nearby :) Hookups were perfect for our fam and loved the river right next to camp. We also explored Cumberland Falls State Resort nearby, recommended by Amber which even on a warm July day in the summer had some nice shady areas for us, our Mom and the long haired German Shepherd to retreat to ;) Was passing through from visiting family, and enjoyed the stay! Just be sure to save the wifi passwords and keep GPS going because Cell reception is bad for a minute as you pull in, but we were prepared and it was easy to get to and from town knowing that ahead of time. Thank you Amber! Highly recommend!

Banks End
The campsite was gorgeous and conveniently close to the beautiful river. We spent lots of time hammocking and floating on the water. The bathrooms on-site were very well-maintained. Overall a great trip!

Don’s Watch
Peaceful & gorgeous
We stayed at Don’s Watch which offered plenty of space, fire pit, a grill, and picnic table. This site was back behind the sites that had direct access to the river but the river was easily accessible from a close trail. Portapotty was close by & clean. Wash house is a steep hike up the hill but also very clean. Looks like they are adding electric hookup to these sites soon. There is NO phone signal at the sites, so remember the camp Wi-Fi password BEFORE you arrive or you will not be able to access the app when there. Host was welcoming and helpful with daily checks around the sites. The river was very shallow (July) at less than waist deep all the way across. We were able to fish, kayak, and tube but bring water shoes because it was very rocky and we pulled several hooks out of the water. Bugs were surprisingly very few. We did find a copperhead snake and tussock moth caterpillars, but we are long-time campers and expect these at times. All of the tent sites had natural tree coverage to help w/ shade and were dispersed enough to offer some privacy. Would be nice if there was more to do here like cornhole, volleyball net, horseshoes, etc. There were only two short trails on the property, so would need to drive for actual hiking. Would be nice to have a water spigot by the tent sites as it’s hard to hike the steep hill with a full jug. Would be helpful if they labeled the sites to help guide newbies. Overall, a gorgeous place and fun experience for a short getaway.
