The views alongside the river were beautiful. However the road leading to the camp sites was atrocious. It needs some attention. I would not recommend going there during or after heavy rain. Amber did warn me about the conditions after I had booked. Do your homework before booking or call Amber.

Nice place. Clean, quiet, awsome bath house. Camp site 10 (horsemen’s camp) is a great set up for hammock campers. And a bonus you get a couple of cool cats as friends during your camp

Me and my husband loved staying here! It was very peaceful and quiet. Amber was a great host and very informative about local attractions and things we could check out around the campground. We loved feeding the animals and seeing all the cats!

The stars just really didn’t align well for this one. While I do believe aspects of it are accurate, after recent heavy rain the options became very limited for both activities and sites to stay on the property. We prepaid the shuttle for floating the river but that wasn’t able to happen. Our host was kind, responsive, moved us to higher ground and provided alternative recommendations for the area. The man who dropped our wood and seems to stay and help manage the property was kind and gave us an awesome supply. The bank of the river was very steep, so even if the water wasn’t moving so fast, we still would’ve been met with a lot of challenges getting in and out of the water. Luckily we were the only ones that had booked during our time, but had we had company it would’ve felt significantly less private. Amber mentioned making sure your vehicle doesn’t sit too low and that is absolutely accurate. The mud and the wet was to be expected, I just hadn’t realized how limiting the space was otherwise.

Amber was a great host! Kept me updated regularly on the weather. Would love to come back to this quiet little river side place during the dry season. Had some bad storms but was kept updated by amber regularly. Even offered to move me to a different site. The site itself was nice. Right by the river. Perfect little getaway to do some fishing. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

Horseman’s Camp @ Clayton Geneva
Amber is so nice and such a helpful host! We loved the grassy lot at Horseman’s camp, and the bath house was definitely one of the nicer ones I’ve been in. There were also some camp kitties that stopped by for some pets, one of which hung out with us almost the whole time 💜

Amber was super duper sweet and helped us with everything we needed. It appeared that our site was recently bulldozed and the entire campsite was a muddy mess. 1/2 of the campsite was covered in puddles. This is the nature of camping on a riverbank so I understand that. But it would’ve been nice to know ahead of time. Be prepared for this by bringing an outdoor mat that can be placed over the mud. Definitely bring a 4WD drive down to the site or you will be stuck it it’s rained recently. Amber did tell us that if we got stuck that they would get a tractor to pull us out which is super nice! Other than the mud and weather, it was a great trip! Thanks Amber!

Hammock Hanger
Amber was a kind and helpful host during our trip. She greeted us when we arrived and answered our questions. If we needed her, she was just a quick message away. We didn't have any cell service as expected, but the wifi was a nice touch. Our trip was unfortunately super rainy- the sites get extremely muddy with rain, which was expected due to the listing info. Be sure to bring extra tarps and appropriate shoes if the weather shows rain! The hill to get down to the sites by the river is just fine without weather, but it can be a challenge with rainy conditions. That being said, my SUV (Subaru) made it up the hill with no issues. Let people know that the road is rough down to the camp sites and there really isn’t a good place to turn around with a trailer , I seen a high top van come down then turn around. Let people know that the road is rough There were no trash cans out. I did have a good time with my bunny experience! They did have good Wi-Fi

Absolutely loved our stay here! The campsite is set in a beautiful, scenic riverside area—perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. The bathrooms were impressively clean and well-maintained, which made a big difference. Our host was fantastic—super welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely come back!

The birdsong cabin is adorable, comfortable, and clean with many small amenities that made staying there a pleasant experience. This is a glamping cabin with the bathroom just out back with a shower, sink, and toilet that was kept clean. The cabin was surprisingly private as we sat on the porch, which has 4 chairs, and watched the birds at the feeder and peeked at the river through the trees. There is a fire ring and picnic table and they supplied the first bundle of fire wood. The bed comes with linen and was comfortable. The cabin has AC and a heater. There was a microwave, coffee, coffee cups, a couple plates, paper towels, sling chairs, S&P, and some other extras. We watched Netflix at night on the smart TV and we had WIFI. I use Verizon and had a couple bars of reception. Host Amber was extremely friendly and helpful with quick responses to our questions. Things I would recommend bringing: paper plates, utensils, a water jug (there's a water spicket just outside), some dish soap and towel. We would readily stay here again!

We arrived in Friday not knowing what to expect but was surprised when we seen the land and the room! We stayed on site 2 had plenty of room to turn around with a 38ft camper and park our truck sideways at the end. The restrooms are close by but please watch your step of a morning they are slick.

The bathhouse was wonderful to have, with hot water and clean facility. The site was easy to navigate to, and our campsite was fully ready for us upon arrival, with a picnic table and fire wood. Beautiful location and lots of farm animals to be around made this a nice spot as well!

The cabin is on land right next to the Cumberland River. There is a long beach front that we drove down to it was absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed our time!

A lovely little family-owned campground situated on the Cumberland River. There is a driveway down to the river that makes for a nice walk. Amber was an excellent hostess. She was quick to respond to my messages. And, as a bonus, she is a pet groomer and squeezed my dog in for a nail trim. I definitely recommend this spot.

Quiet location along the Cumberland river. Amber was a great host who communicated very well. I was suprised when she sent me a link to keep track of the river levels because they had had alot of rain prior to my trip. ( I had planned on looking for it online, but she beat me to it.) I will camp here agian.
