Cute spot, but come prepared.
The Stevie is very cute and has potential. The property is very charming, clean, with a peaceful, secluded feel. The animals on-site are clearly well cared for, which added to the overall welcoming atmosphere. The bed was extremely comfortable, with plenty of pillows and blankets, and our host, Sarah Beth (I believe that was her name), was lovely.
A few things to note for future guests: while the photos show string lights, there were none available during our visit, so you will need to bring your own lighting. There is electricity available, but apparently it is solar powered and it did not last through the night. We were not aware of this in advance, and it became quite chilly once the power went out. There is also a nearby train crossing with frequent traffic during the night, so light sleepers will need to bring earplugs.
Lastly, we had an unexpected visit from a couple who said they were doing a “perimeter check.” They were polite, but since we had not been told to expect anyone, it was a bit unsettling.
Overall, this is a cute and unique spot that offers a peaceful escape if you come prepared. With clearer communication about the power setup and site activity, this could easily be a five-star experience.
