Lake Georgia-Sue is an 85 acre oasis of relaxation and fun. We are located in East Central Kansas, not far from Kansas City, Topeka, Lawrence, and Wichita. The lake itself is 8 acres, with a lot of fish, swimming, small craft boating, kayaking, and wind surfing. The property has numerous sites where you can private pasture your horses, work them in our private round pens, and trail ride them in the hundreds of miles of trails that intersect the property. These are VERY large and private campsites with no nosey or loud neighbors. Sites are for primitive tenting or full RV 30 amp and water hookups. Lakefront sites or forest sites are available. Showers, toilets, AC Clubhouse, playground, ponies, pet pigs, goats, and chickens. Pet friendly. Group camping for up to 25 people. Great for weddings, birthdays, etc We are just a short drive from four larger state lakes. An abundance of good restaurants are just ten minutes away, and sometimes we take a trail ride to eat Mexican or BBQ in the village close by.

Top tier camping.
If you are thinking of camping here for a day or a week let me make this really easy for you… do it. Fred’s property is absolutely incredible and he’s a wonderful host. A friend of mine and I were driving to Lenexa KS for a concert then wanted to do a bit of camping and fishing afterwards. Fred was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. I’ve been using Hipcamp for many years now and this is one of the most gorgeous places we’ve ever been. Luckily for us it’s only about 4 hours away and after showing my wife the photos she’s planning another trip out for our family. As some other reviewers have said, there is a train track close by that does have active trains using it through the day/night. My camper is an Opus 4 which is a canvas style pop up so it’s comparable to a tent in regards to noises getting in. Both my friend and I had no issues sleeping through the night with the trains going and didn’t find them to be a problem. I couldn’t tell you how many go by or at what frequency but it didn’t seem to be a constant thing. I’m actually excited to take my 7 year old as he loves trains and will get a kick out of it. Lastly and most importantly this place has dark skies. If you want to see an absolute boat load of starts check the forecast and book a couple night, you will be glad you did.

Complete enjoyment!
A lovely large lakeside camp, amusing animals in the neighboring fields and a well-appointed club house— completely suited us in every way!

This place is breathtaking. Fred showed me around and explained everything I would need to know. Wish I could have stayed longer to explore and utilize everything that was offered. Would love to revisit and with my bike!

Went here to tent camp. Pretty good place, lots of nice acreage and you get plenty of space so you're not up against a neighbor. They have a really pretty lake and it's great camping. The tent site I stayed at had a classic picnic table, fire ring, and camping spots right along the small lake/pond. Unfortunately the mian complaint I have is that there's a train that runs pretty much directly next to the property. Trains seem to come almost every hour and it's tough if you can't handle the noise. Even with noise canceling headphones I still had difficulty sleeping. However, if you can handle that, this is a great little retreat with some killer camping property.

Property is fantastic. Right off the Flint Hills Trail. Perfect for Bike/Hike Camp. 85 acres, private lake, horses, goats, etc on-site. It is also right off the train tracks and the tracks are busy. Did not bother me but I am sure some would not sleep well unless they had something noise cancelling. There is a shower and bathroom on-site as well. Fred was a great host. Will return many times now I know this is here.
