Lake Meyer Campground stands out as a unique destination for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a blend of natural beauty and recreational activities across its expansive 160-acre park. Visitors can explore a network of scenic hiking trails and enjoy the tranquility of natural areas, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers. The campground features multiple picnic shelters, including a spacious 30’x40′ timber-framed shelter, perfect for gatherings and family outings. The park's centerpiece is a picturesque 33-acre lake, where guests can engage in canoeing, kayaking, and boating with electric motors. Convenient parking is available at various locations around the lake, ensuring easy access to the water. On the eastern edge, you'll find a boat ramp, a fishing jetty, and a year-round pit toilet, while the northwest edge boasts a kayak launch and a handicap-accessible fishing dock. For those interested in learning how to use the kayak launch, an instructional video is available for viewing. As a reminder, all visitors to the park and campground are encouraged to adhere to safety guidelines related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, to protect local ecosystems from the Emerald Ash Borer, firewood from outside Winneshiek County is prohibited at Lake Meyer Campground, but local firewood can be purchased on-site.
