Farm Stay Tent Site
It’s a beautiful property with a great vibe. Super peaceful. Anna is lovely and accommodating and the common kitchen and bathroom are cozy and the shower was fabulous even on a 29 degree morning! And to make the experience even more special, Niko the welcoming cat joined me on a walk. I look forward to returning and checking out the folk school and the area when I’m not so rushed. Definitely stop here!

Food Forest Tent Site
Perfect Iowa farm
We had such a wonderful time camping at the food forest site! Anna was so welcoming and made us feel very comfortable about our stay. The farm is beautiful and quiet, and we really enjoyed the chicken and the sheep.
The bathrooms are extremely clean with plenty of hot water for the showers, and the kitchen came In handy for washing up and for other things we forgot to bring.
We also were able to bring home some really nice vegetables.
We are definitely going to make repeat visits here in the future!

Garden Shed Farm Stay
Peaceful, relaxed, lovely space. We stayed overnight in the garden shed. I'd recommend paying the small fee to gather fresh vegetables from the garden to round out meals. The kale salad was delicious! Our hosts were helpful and friendly.

Absolutely lovely farm and event space with great bathrooms and showers. Free range chickens and sheep on the property was a nice add to the vibe and there was plenty of space to stroll around. Nice people with a cute, convenient spot.

Beautiful family farm stay
The garden shed was a picturesque stop for some indoor camping. Anna was generous with her time, chatting with me and showing me around her garden to pick fresh veggies. The bathroom was clean and the shower was welcome. The large, modern kitchen is fully stocked with all the cookware you could possibly need. Just what the doctor ordered!

Garden Shed Farm Stay
Meandering through flower garden
Garden shed was beautiful and lovely property all around. Kids loved the friendly farm cat and Anna was most accommodating. Wish we had more time to explore the garden's and food forest. Hope to come back to do so & take one of the land alliance classes. I will be adding straw flower to my cutting garden! Note: Super clean and well equipped kitchen (& bathrooms) but refrigerator was not plugged in (July 2022) plan accordingly.

Food Forest Tent Site
I loved staying at Anna and Dave's spot and wish I could have stayed longer. Upon arriving, they invited me to go berry picking, we had fresh corn that evening. In the morning, I ate the fresh berries with granola. I also added the produce basket which was filled wonderful veggies and herbs. Everything was delicious! The campsite was quiet and comfortable. What a special place, I hope to go back there soon!

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay in Anna's Garden Shed on her beautiful farm. The shed was perfect for our tent and the clean bathrooms and well-stocked kitchen in the studio building provided everything we could possibly need. Anna and Dave were absolutely delightful. We recommend this property highly!

Tenting with family of five
We had a wonderful stay here. My three kids enjoyed the friendly kitty and exploring the property - it’s beautiful! The kitchen and bathroom/shower facilities were especially nice. Anna and Dave were welcoming hosts and the grounds are peaceful! The only small improvement we’d recommend - we paid extra for the ham steak and produce box, but the ham steaks were still frozen at 9pm when we were finally settling into eat after a long day of travels and there was not much produce in the garden to make much of a farm box with. Nevertheless, we’d highly recommend and stay here again.

Folk School Loft, West Room
We loved staying at The Land Alliance! The hosts were amazing and the gardens were gorgeous. The worst part was leaving! I even got to use the fresh eggs to make breakfast. The children delighted in mulberries and raspberries. Truly a wonderful place to unwind.

We have now stayed at the Garden Shed three times over the last two years. It is by far our favorite Hipcamp location we’ve been to. It’s just a stunning location, the farm is so peaceful and the owners are wonderful. Would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Retreat Shed
Peaceful Beautiful Rolling Hills
Anna and her husband’s land is lovely. Beautiful views of peaceful rolling Iowa hills and farmland. The community building complete with large kitchen, bathrooms with showers, and other guest rooms upstairs was an added bonus! Other campers adequately spaced out. Taking Anna’s pie making class was a special treat. The shed was cozy, comfortable and charming. Felt small at first but so much easier and spacious than a tent plus didn’t have to worry about weather. No AC, but a fan and clever screen door made it doable.. There was plenty of shade and a breeze outside. Hiking and swimming at a couple nice parks about 20 min away. Anna is an exceptional host and always responded promptly!

Tranquil escape!
Anna was extremely accommodating as my arrival times fluctuated. She was there to greet me and helped me find everything. The farm was exactly what I needed. Tranquil, beautifully maintained, and with great touches throughout the different accommodations. The tent sites had picnic tables and there was a place for a campfire. I would definitely recommend.

Anna's place is so beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable. Also, Anna and her husband are very kind and provide a warm welcome. Purchasing the food forest option was a terrific idea, too. I found ingredients for some of the tastiest salads of my life and even left with some veggies to take to the next stop on my cross-country roadtrip. I hope to come back and stay longer next time.
