Cabin · Sleeps 4The Cowboy Cabin at Cedar Springs rests atop an old limestone quarry, on high bluffs with beautiful views. This historic property has multiple elevations and geological features which make it a truly special and unique location. The quarry below the cabin forms a natural amphitheater with amazing acoustics and has an extra large bonfire pit and two additional fire pits. The quarry space is available for all guests to enjoy except when privately reserved. There are hiking trails, an 1800’s limestone home and scenic bridge which make for great exploring and photo opportunities. Also, if you love art you will enjoy discovering the series of 19 elevated stained glass sculpture panels installed throughout the property.
The Cowboy Cabin is a cozy one room space that sleeps 4 people. It has two lofts, a wood burning stove and comfy rustic furnishings, with an electric fan for hot days and a tall lamp for easy visibility at night. A power block is provided which stores up to 14 hours worth of electricity and can be recharged during extended stays. A wooden counter/kitchen area has a propane camp stove, 2 five gallon water jugs (filled w/ potable well water), pots & pans, electric griddle, electric hot water pot, basic kitchen utensils, dishes & flatware for four, coffee cups, wine glasses, also a dish pan and dish washing supplies. Premium instant coffee, sugar and dry coffee creamer are provided.
Linens, 4 blankets and 4 towels are provided. For late Autumn, Winter and Early Spring bookings we recommend bringing sleeping bags or warm comforters. (Sleeping bags can be provided w/ 15$ washing fee per each.
The shower is the camp bag sort which can be heated in the sun or carefully filled with heated water. The shower curtain can be hung on two hooks on the porch for privacy while showering outside. Up to 4 towels provided.
The driveway to the site is unpaved and is navigable by 2 wheel drive most of the time. During very wet weather and snowy weather we recommend four wheel drive. There is parking to walk in, if concerned about 2 wheel drive in winter or heavy rain.
