The structure was pretty cool and it was nice and warm. It's in the backyard of a house in a suburban feeling neighborhood which was hard to tell from the listing and kind of a let down for us. There was access to a bathroom but you have to go inside the main house which didn't feel super approachable so we both ended up not using it. The host was a nice guy and we wish him well.
Overall it was fine for a one night stay

We loved how unique and charming the lodge felt. Rob has done an amazing job creating a getaway, that simply shifts your focus onto nature, literally in his own backyard. We highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick weekend getaway!

This was a really cool find! You would never think you would be right in town by pictures. When you go to the restroom you’ll get greeted with the sweetest dog!:) there is so many cool things to look at in the yard and cabin!
One thing I would tell future campers is if you want to use a blanket be sure to bring one. There was one on the main bed but only big enough for one person. I didn’t ask if there were any extras tho.

Best way I can sum up Robs property is that it's just like camping, except there is a bed, air conditioning, and heat provided. Rob has set the cabin up very well, and there is a small table with chairs and some books and games if interested.
My partner and I like to tent camp, but when it's too hot or cold for us, we find simple cabins that provide a space to cool off or warm up but still space to cook outside and live "simply" Robs property gave us the perfect chance for that.
As a warning to others though, that maybe wouldn't bring a car full of camping supplies to stay, the cabin does not come equipped with cooking supplies, plates, cups, etc. There are restaurants close by, but If you're looking to just relax and stay in, you'll have to be prepared or plan to door dash food.
The space is cozy and feels extremely private, even though it's at the end of Robs property. It feels like you're away from the city. The bathroom is accessible through the garage, and is apart of the main house. It is clean, and Rob even put towels out for us. The large sink in the restroom was a great place to do dishes. While the site description includes water and a picnic table, there was not a picnic table, and the water is from the houe (you have to locate it, it's not right near the cabin)
This is a hipcamp listing, not a 5 star Airbnb. If you are searching for a 5 star BnB, this ain't it. But a great hipcamp? Absolutely!

It was so nice to get away for a weekend and Rob’s land was a great “in between” - it feels very much part of the land and surrounding nature, while being very accessible to main roads. Would definitely recommend!

Rob was a great host! Communication was excellent. The property was super cute and well cared for. The lodge is tucked back in a very private nook in the trees. We enjoyed the grill and fire pit onsite. We were lucky enough to see a family of deer in the woods, and loved interacting with the two sweet goats on the property. It’s a perfect little oasis close to Omaha! Thanks for sharing your beautiful property, Rob!

This was a neat little spot to stop for a night. Basic and private, with a little porch to sit on while listening to all the summer insects, and a barred owl visit in the middle of the night. The host's communication was great and directions were clear.

Rob is not a particularly warm host and we felt like we were inconveniencing him for staying at his cabin.
The cabin itself is cute, nothing to lose your mind over. It was pretty cluttered in the table area where you will find a coffee maker and sugar kept in a ziplock, yet crawling with ants. With a little more care, it could have felt a little more welcoming- clean up the clutter/ offer water bottles, etc.
The cabin is situated on the hosts’ property at the very end of a large yard which gives some illusion of privacy but the doors didn’t lock so that didn’t make us feel particularly safe. Bathroom is accessible through the hosts’ garage and basement which is a trek and kind of weird to find yourself using the restroom amongst the water heater and laundry.
The cabin also requires a pet fee but doesn’t state how much the fee is until you ask in your exchange. I had to pay via Venmo because apparently Hipcamp makes it hard to accept those payments.
This space wasn’t for me, but it may be for you. I can’t think of a situation where I would suggest anyone staying here though.

Super cute spot! Love all the Native American themed decor and nature books. Loved hearing the birds chirp. Beds were pretty comfy too. Rob was very nice and so were his animals.

This spot is the perfect cross between camping and a hotel. Clean bed and bug free place to sleep and hang out but feel like you are still one with nature! The artifacts and decor give such a great vibe! Highly recommend!

Second stay at Arrowhead Lodge. We were in town for my son’s baseball tournament and the College World Series. It was great to be an easy 15 minute drive to the middle of everything and then be able to escape to complete solitude in as much time. Clean, quiet, cool (love the AC) and secluded. Rob is a great host and the space he has created is worth a visit. Highly recommended.

Surprisingly private and cozy little getaway. Despite the lodge being in the host’s backyard you are quite secluded. Using the bathroom/shower in the main house basement seems a little awkward at first but it actually works fine. The host was accessible yet respectful of privacy and gave us recommendations for food, activities… positive experience overall for sure.

Safeguarded by the sturdy structure, the rhythmic patter of rain against the windows, and the cool respite of the air conditioning created a symphony of serenity. I cannot emphasize enough how magical it was to sleep under the stormy skies, yet feel so safe and cool in our cozy nest. Arrowhead Lodge truly surpassed our expectations, offering an experience that was nothing short of spectacular!

Rob is a terrific host. The cabin is top notch with cool AC and lovely decor. Restroom/shower are in basement of main residence, as stated. Host provided instructions for entry. Had a great time in Omaha and surrounding area. Thanks for all the information about getting around!

We loved the Lodge! The lodge faces the woods so you truly feel secluded. Watching all of the fireflies in the middle of the night is something I will never forget. The goat on the property was very cool too!

We loved this place! Perfect for a 1 night getaway for my husband and I! It was so cozy and loved having a fire, and yet a 5 min drive away from getting food!

We loved our stay at Arrowhead! The property is magical with lots of interesting objects and decor, and the lodge is super cozy. We loved getting to say hi to the goats and waking up to the view of the pretty wooded area behind the lodge. 10/10 would stay again and recommend!

As long as you’re aware that this Hipcamp is located in the backyard of a suburban neighborhood, I’d recommend staying here. The cabin was quirky and clean. And the windows face toward the woods so it feels private.
For me, this was the perfect spot (driving from Colorado to Minnesota and needed a place along the way to stay for a night to recharge).

This is a beautiful great place to stay just minutes away from Omaha! We found this place when we planned a quick trip to Western Iowa and it did not disappoint. Rob is a wonderful host and the site is incredible. Loved every minute of it!

We loved spending a very restful stay at Rob's lodge. It was a very cozy and we loved the decorations so much! Definitely a nice place to go "off-grid". He was very nice and We will definitely come back!

I loved this spot so much! 10/10 would stay again. Gorgeous, quiet, my pup and I loved it. So many birds! Really a special treat on our cross country road trip. Honestly, we’ll probably stay here again on our way back. Close enough to the city if you want to go in town to grab a bite and far enough to have a truly camp like experience.

We were in town for the CWS, and this spot exceeded our expectations. Comfortable, private, clean, and cool (yes, there is AC). The two goats were a bonus. The host was helpful, friendly, and respectful—a great location with easy access to the surrounding area. We would love to stay here again next time we are close to Omaha.
