Camping like it was meant to be! Come stay with us and explore one of the largest privately owned certified forest in Indiana. Many of our sites are spread out so far you will feel like you are the only ones here. We have three 30AMP electric sites and one with 20AMP service, with the remaining sites all primitive. Over 5 miles of hiking trails, and if you prefer cycling, local roads are part of the Two Rivers on Two Wheel bike route. If Kayaking is your thing, explore the Eel River, or the Tippecanoe. Site 5 Little Charlie

Little Charlie was once a neighboring Indian reservation and part of the regions historic 7 Sections. Site 5, Little Charlie, (non-electric) is our first primitive site in what we call the upper campground. We only recently opened up this space for campers. Little Charlie is nestled in a clump of trees with some wild shrubs to give a sense of privacy. Tent size campsite only with a fire ring.

Site 12 Deer Crossing

Deer Crossing, Site#12 (no electricity) has been one of our most popular sites in what we call the lower campground, or basically, in the Walnut Valley. Deer Crossing was named after the first night a camper stayed in this location and the deer crossed through the site. It's a great site for a couple of tents, a hammock, or a small camper. It's complete with fire ring and a picnic table so you can fully enjoy life outdoors.

Site 11 The Meadow

Site 11, The Meadow, (no electricity) is a sun lover and sky gazer paradise. Perched on top of a grassy knoll at the back of the campground, The Meadow gives you full view of the night sky, sunset, and the beautiful warm sunshine. Site 11 is fully remote, with no electricity, but is accessible to travel trailers, Class C, B and smaller Class A motorhomes. The Meadow is the closest site to the wooded trails that await the adventurers.

Site 10 The Cul-de-Sac

Site 10, The Cul-de-Sac, (no electricity) is our most private, remote site on the property. Some might say it's the end of the line, some may say the last stop to nowhere, but we say it's perfect when you really want to feel like you are roughing it! You can drive to the Cul-de-Sac, with car, van, Jeep, and even small camper if it's intended for off road. Site 9 is pretty far from the outhouse, so you may want to plan accordingly, as it is about a 5-minute hike. The Cul-de-Sac has a rock fire ring, and to cook over the fire, we recommend bringing your own rack.

Site 4 South Shore

Site 4, South Shore (electric), is a favorite for many of our campers, and one of my favorite sites in the upper campground. From South Shore, you can catch beautiful sunrises and catch great star gazing of the southern night sky. If you love a mix of sun and shade, South Shore is perfect for you. There is a lot of space to spread out, hang a couple of hammocks and listen to the breeze whisper through the tree canopy. South Shore is great for tent campers as well as larger RV's and travel trailers. Site 4 is set up with electricity, a picnic table and a fire ring.

Site 13 Sunset Blvd

Site 13, Sunset Blvd (no electricity) is the perfect spot to catch the Indiana sun sinking below the tree line as the firefly's light up the surrounding field. Sunset Blvd is perfect for tents campers, pop-ups, or a small group of van campers. Another one of our primitive sites, it gets plenty of shade all day long, giving way to sun and stars as the day comes to a close. You will see deer, hawks, the occasional eagle and plenty of squirrels scurrying about.

Site 8 The Mint

Site #8 (non-electric) is fittingly named for the exhilarating smell of fresh wild mint that surrounds this private little site. Room for one tent and a couple of hammocks, it's a perfect site for two who enjoy being surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells of the great outdoors. You can back right into The Mint and call it home for the weekend, complete with fire ring. Don't forget to bring the white rum to make a wild mint mojito.

Site 14 Deadpool

Deadpool, Site 14 (no electricity) sits on what was once a shallow pond that caught runoff from the fields. When we put in grass waterways the water soaked into the ground before it reached the pond, and since then has dried up. Now, Deadpool is a great place for larger groups of friends and families. Deadpool is accessible by car, camper vans, and small travel trailers that can traverse some undulating trails. Site 14 gives you a great view of the sunset as well as the northern night sky in a very popular remote site. Deadpool has a rock fire ring, so be sure to bring your own cooking set up.

Site 1 Northern Lights

Site 1 - Northern Lights, (30 AMP Electric) sits on the edge of the campground where you have the best view of the northern night sky. During the summer, you can catch the sunrise and sunset, yet have full shade and usually a gentle breeze all day long. You can say hi to the cows that will come close as they graze but remember not to touch the fence. Site 1 has electric hook up and a fire ring.

Site 3 Summer Breeze

Site 3, Summer Breeze, (30 Amp electric) has two lanes to pull in your big rig, or bring some friends and have two units' side by side. Site 3 is located in the middle of what we call the upper campground. Easy to access, level ground, close to the pavilion and the outhouse and electric hook ups. Summer Breeze almost always has a breeze and is cooled by the full canopy of white oaks, walnut trees and other native hardwoods.

Site 2 Milly's Way

Site 2, Milly's Way, (30 AMP electric) was once the homestead for the head cook who ran our family restaurant. Close to the entrance of the campground, you will have one of the best sunrise views on the property. Milly's Way has electric and full access to the only water spigot in the campground. Located next to the pavilion, you and your family can spread out and relax. Milly's Way also has a picnic table and a fire ring.

The property has a little bit of everything for a wide variety of camp styles. The campsites are very well maintained. Even the trailways to the sites are kept in great condition. I was able to drive my Honda civic to my site without any issues at all. The woodland is very large. The trails were very enjoyable. Sites are spread out in ways that offer privacy, but the throughways create opportunities for connections with other families as well. Brian is super helpful and a pleasure to speak with. I definitely recommend this place. I will be going back someday for sure.

Brian has an exceptional campground! Each site is different, well separated and surrounded by his beautiful forest. The stars are amazing at night, and if you pay attention, you can see deer, wild turkey, and owls.

Such a beautiful hidden gem!! So many hiking trails and pretty spots! Camp sight was very clean and well kept and trails were all easily accessible! Highly recommend to anyone looking for an adventure!

We camped in the front of the camp site We had a nice spot and quiet. We took a trail and met other campers they were super friendly. The trails were really nice . We went to use the outhouse and a squirrel was in there, I ran so fast back the site I ran out of my shoes. I tried again later and a chipmunk ran across my foot . Needless to say we have a great story Host was awesone when bad weather was approaching. He even checked on us . Great visit and we will be back again.😆 🤣

Brian is a down to Earth very nice guy! My brother and I camped Thu-Sat and thoroughly enjoyed the spacious, secluded, beautiful site! Brian is a VERY busy man but he took the time to stop by and chat with us a couple times. My brother and I also had a great time hiking the yellow and orange trails. We got some wonderful pics of the Fall colors. I made a 260 mile round trip to camp at Walnut Valley and will definitely do it again. One word of advice, it's named "Walnut" Valley for a reason. You may want to bring some kind of padding to lay on top of your vehicle to protect it from falling walnuts.

Visited a couple times and plan to come back for as long as its available... Absolutely peaceful campsite with lots and lots of land. We were able to bring our dog as well. Brian was welcoming and didn't bother us none, but let us know he was there if we needed him. Can't wait to visit Again!!.

This our 3rd time staying. A little of the beaten path but more than worth it for the peaceful tranquility and a great stopover on your way to Lake Michigan or the upper peninsula etc. Plenty of sites and lots of well maintained trails. Brian is super responsive and very friendly! The sites cost is appropriate, and he provides firewood bundles and hook up accessories at reasonable prices. 100% recommend..

Brian has an amazing campground, The Mint is one of my favorites, surrounded by tall trees, it is a cozy spot, yet centrally located in the campground. Fall is beautiful in the woods, as the wildlife are out and about. I watched 8 deer strolling by as I was making my coffee.

Beautiful Place but Beware of Hunts

We had a really great time here! The host was incredibly accommodating and kind, which made the stay even better. The land is beautiful, clean, and clearly well taken care of — plenty of space, shaded areas, and overall a peaceful atmosphere. The only downside was while walking on the trails, we heard what sounded like a gunshot (possibly a firework, though less likely) and something hit a tree near us. It was a little unsettling since it’s close to hunting season, but it may have just been a coincidence (like an acorn dropping). However, our group has mixed opinions on whether or not it was intentional. Just something to keep in mind if you’re out exploring the trails. Overall, this was a lovely spot, and I’d recommend it for the host’s hospitality and the well-kept land.

Absolutely loved camping at this location, we only interacted with one very nice camper, otherwise we were basically completely alone. This is also a great place to introduce someone to mountain biking, the hiking trails can be biked and they're not to crazy for someone's first time. Will definitely be visiting again!

We loved camping at Walnut Valley Realm Campground. Campground owner Brian is very warm and friendly. . He met us upon arrival and led us to our site - Deadpool - Site 14. This site is a large secluded open meadow with trees surrounding it. We definitely will be back.

Just a fantastic campground overall. Brian was so helpful and always answered our questions in a timely manner. The cul-de-sac site was very enjoyable as well, it offered a lot of privacy but it wasn't so far away from everything else. It was also a lot more spacious than I expected! Exploring the rest of the grounds to go on a hike through the trails made our trip very fun as well.

Had a great holiday weekend! There were several families camping, but it was still quiet and peaceful. Love The Mint site, it is a challenge for solar, due to a lot of shade, but such a beautiful spot!

We had a splendid time camping at site #1 (Northern Lights) of the Walnut Valley Realm! The site was a delightful mix of sun & shade, was level, and offered plenty of space for our 21’ campervan with ample room left for outdoor relaxing around the firepit. Brian was an attentive host, very forthright and communicative without being intrusive - very kind! The latrine was clean and stocked with nice TP. The firewood we purchased from Brian was well-seasoned and bone dry, too - just perfect! The campground was busy, as it was Labor Day weekend, but all of the sites are well-spaced and we savored quiet nights with dark skies perfect for stargazing. Thank you so much for sharing this gem, Brian!
