Evansville, Indiana is within the path of totality for the April 2024 solar eclipse. Enjoy this potentially once-in-a-lifetime experience in the wide open river bottoms of Southern Indiana on the banks of the Ohio River. This site is primitive. My home is located on the property, but you will have plenty of room for camping and activities on my 1 acre lot. Campfires are welcome. Bring your favorite yard games as well! The Ohio River is visible from my property. However, the banks are unsafe and considered private property. There are local public access sites that I'd be happy to direct you to! My property is located 10 miles (22 minutes by car) from downtown Evansville.

Riverbottoms Site 1

I had a great stay here the night before the eclipse and loved it. It's a very unique location with the river nearby and open fields outside your window. Kathryn was super helpful with advice about how to get to my viewing location and went out of her way to make sure I had what I needed.

Beautiful campsite. The host Katie was so warm and inviting and made sure I didn't forget anything. The sunsets over the site were stunning and it was a short walk to the Ohio river. Had a wonderful experience there.
