My husband and I were looking for a get-away in the woods last weekend, and the cabin at Nightfall Farm was perfect for our needs. It was cold outside, but there were plenty of blankets on the bed and even an area heater, if needed. It was so cozy in the cabin, and with all the windows, it was wonderful to look out at the trees and the full moon.
The outdoor kitchen was very useful and had just about everything we needed, so we didn't have to bring any of our own camping gear for meals. They even had a small fridge.
The firewood bundle we purchased from them was perfect, with everything needed to build a fire for one evening. It was quiet and peaceful. We brought our camping chairs, although there is seating in the outdoor kitchen as well as a picnic table right outside the cabin, and one chair in the cabin next to a desk.
It was a bit cold when using the outhouse with the compost toilet, but it was very close to the cabin and felt sturdy and secluded. It even had a little nightlight.
There is an overhead light and a reading lamp in the cabin. We brought an electric lantern that we used as needed to walk around at night.
Liz and Nate are wonderful hosts, and we knew if we needed help or had any questions all we had to do was knock on the door of their house, a short walk from the cabin. It is a great place to unplug, read a book, play a board game and take some walks. I imagine it's gorgeous in the fall.
