Once in a lifetime, right here in Jackson County 100% totality for the 2024 Eclipse on April 8, 2024 at 3:04 in the afternoon for 3 minutes and 7 seconds. We are the first county from the south in totality if you are traveling I65 and have an easy on/off for observance and camping. Located just one hour from Indianapolis, Louisville, and Cincinnati, our property is strategically positioned on your route to everywhere, right in the middle of nowhere. The historic Jackson County Fairground borders the Jackson Washington State Forest, encompassing 125 acres. This space has witnessed 85 years of an award-winning county fair, and the dirt track racing events attract more than 150,000 visitors each season. Easy access is provided via I-65 and US 50.

JC Fairgrounds Eclipse RV A
Perfect view of the total eclipse. The bathrooms are very clean. The property was very nice. We felt very safe there with the sheriffs department close by.

Eclipse 2024 Lot 2
Excellent camping site for families
We loved the camping site! Great views, easy directions, clean bathrooms, flat lot. A little down the road (1 mile) there's a grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants, gas station, everything you could need. The host came to check on us and gave us great recommendations for places to eat and go fishing. Everyone was amazing and welcoming. We absolutely LOVED it here!!!!!

JC Fairgrounds RV FB
Great place for tent camping for Eclipse 2024! Plenty of car-accessible grassy space, and an easy walk to the bathrooms (no showers). The site is on the county fairgrounds—we may head back for the fair itself!
