I loved the whole experience, it was our very first time. The ride home was all everyone talked about how much fun they had. I can honestly say we will be back very soon! Never thought sleeping in the woods in a tent would’ve been comfortable and peaceful. Definitely on my to do list again! Thanks for having us

This is a wonderful place for camping. It feels secluded but it’s close to loads of things to do. Whitney is super friendly and accommodating too. We loved the area, beautiful camping spot with all the extras. Highly recommend this camping spot

My camping experience at Whitney’s property was exceptional. Great escape for relaxation enjoying nature. Whitney communicated well with me and provided me with all necessary information before my arrival. I will be returning for another camping trip soon.

Tent camping on this land was beautiful. There were other guests at different sites but ours was still secluded. Went for a 6 year anniversary trip and camp back engaged. Would recommend this property.

We had such a wonderful time here! We were right by the water, there was already an area to set up a campfire, and it was so peaceful and quiet!
Very good spot! The land Owner was very nice and polite!
Definitely coming back :)
Whitney was so wonderful! We had to make a sudden change in plans and they were very accommodating. Communication was top notch. We will definitely be staying with them in the futures!

We had a great time as a family and enjoyed our stay overall. The only downside was that the nearby train tracks made it a bit hard to sleep due to the frequent trains.
Whitney was great, he welcomed us into the camp, started the fire for us as we came in from out of town after sunset. We would recommend staying there, & will more than likely travel through that way to see Whitney again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay on Whitney's property! The place is easy to use, the river was calming and the place is full of whimsy. Very close to shops, if needed. Whitney was quick to respond and showed us around before we set up camp.

Amazing spot with enough privacy and yet still close enough to other campers if you want company. Beautiful property right on the river either well curated trails and river walks. Whitney was friendly, trusting, and even accommodated our request for a specific type of site. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to feel like you’re away from the city but still close enough for beer/food runs if needed.

Camping With So Much Imagination!
This place is an absolute gem of a spot. Hosts were exceptional - friendly, attentive and really excited to share their special place in the woods with others. There is SO much to explore on the intertwining web of trails. Look for BigFoot in the woods, hike the mini Appalachian and Kentucky Bourbon Trails - all created by Whitney, the host, and his imagination in creating a great space. This place is fantastic for families with kids, but also sparks delight in the imaginations of elder campers too! It allows for more mature parties to have some privacy to feel like they are alone in the wilderness. We are so happy we stumbled across this Hipcamp posting, and we will be recommending this place to all of our local friends for future adventures! Thank you Whitney and Casey!
My son and I went on a last weekend camping trip before starting college, and this place was such an amazing getaway for us.
Whitney was so accommodating and friendly, and made us feel right at home.
The setting of this place is so charming, and it has an amazing eclectic feel.

Whitney's property is a hidden gem! Located close to restaurants/gas stations/etc but you feel all alone in the woods at the same time. Upon arrival, Whitney met me and showed me to my campsite. Nestled close to the White River was a fire pit and trails meandering through the woods. We also spent a couple hours at nearby Mounds State Park. My dogs and I had a blast. Highly recommend!
Great site located close to the river and within a short distance of stores. You can hear traffic, but you definitely cannot see it. Everything about the site is a fairy tale. A lot of work has gone into the site to make it feel like an escape. We felt safe and could relax. The owner and his family were friendly and helpful.
They checked in with us a few times during our stay and brought us a beverage and toilet paper.
The only things that could make this site better would be the option of an electric hookup and a fresh porta-potty with a latching door.

Such a fun place to stay, especially with our kids. The campsite was large and pretty private, and the trails and river were great for exploring. We loved it.
The spot where we were at was nice, definitely spacious! the swings on the river The kids really enjoyed! landscape around our camp not so amazing. Lots of trails for us to explore, but there was a lot of miscellaneous trash spread throughout the property.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time camping here. Whitney was kind and showed us around the property when we arrived. He also mentioned a few good places around to eat as well. This camp spot is very close to town, less than 5 minute drive to Walmart. It was nice for going to get ice or anything you may have forgotten, but also know it is in Muncie. We caught a couple fish and or dogs enjoyed splashing in the river.
We brought our popup camper and handle ample space to set up as well as access to electric. If you’re looking for something with access to water, close to town, but in the woods this was a great spot.

We had a great time! Loved the site we had, it was right on the water. My granddaughters had a blast playing in the river and fishing.
