We now have 3 buildings for rent. The Cozy Camping Cottage, the Camping Cabin and the newest addition is our A-frame which is the most secluded spot on the land. - Voted best Hipcamp in Indiana to visit for 6 years. - Listed on Rachael Ray Magazine's "8 of America's Coolest Campgrounds" We offer a "Camping Cabin", The "Cozy Camping Cottage" or tent camping in Black Walnut Grove, in an open field, in the woods, or a shady grove. We like to interact with people or you can keep to yourself and have a quiet getaway in the woods. Sorry, but the tree house isn't available to rent since it is my home. I may rent it out in the future. Also in progress is the "Dome" We are on a solar powered, off the grid 30 acre homestead that has 24 acres of wooded land and 6 acres of groomed land. Come explore our land and relax in the "Tree Web", see the 2 story tree house that I live in, have fun on the tire swing, or just sit and enjoy all that nature has to offer. You can explore our interesting topography that has close to 100 foot of elevation changes, our (mostly) dry creek system that starts with 2 springs that drain into 3 sinkholes or walk 3 miles of trails (if you follow each trail from end to end). We love groups - Host your event here or have a group gathering with all your friends and family. We have spaces large enough to host hundreds of people. We welcome pets for camping, but no pets allow in the Camping Cabin. Also be aware that we have 2 friendly dogs on the land that roam freely. - 3.5 miles to Marengo Cave - 7 miles to the Blue River (canoes, rafting and swimming) - 30 minutes to Patoka Lake - 37 miles west of Louisville - 13 miles north of Interstate 64

Kerry's campground is just magical. This was our 5th trip there and my family just keeps coming back. Kerry is a wonderful and caring host, and the setting is fantastic. We will be back again soon!

Cozy Camping Cottage

The cozy cottage was incredibly cozy. This spot was secluded enough from other campers that we felt like we had total privacy, but it was nice knowing other people were nearby as well. The web up in the trees was awesome, and you can tell the owners of this land really care about it. Throughout our weekend, three of the friendliest dogs kept us company. We will definitely be coming back to this spot in the future!

Most beautiful campsite ever!

This was one of the most beautiful camp sites I've ever been on! I can't believe it was in Indiana! And there was TONS of space at each site. The owner was so kind and cool and personable. And he exceeded every expectation to promptly respond to our every request. We will certainly come back and have this be our favorite spot!

Best camping, best host!

Kerry is as great a host as I remembered from my stay here 4 years ago. He continually makes improvements to his property, and is so responsive to any needs that come up (making sure the hot water heater in his outdoor shower is working, shooing away the friendly neighbor dogs when my dog was a little nervous). There is plenty of room for tenting, but the little sleep cabins are also nice. We checked out--and were impressed by--the new 3-season (maybe 4 season?) cabin, and thought it would be great for a family or group of friends. This is always my favorite stopover when I drive this route.

Black Walnut Grove at Happy Hollow

Kerry was a great host and his land was perfect for our group. We had 4 family’s with kids and wanted a site that had room to play. The kids loved the tree net and tire swing. As part of our reservation, we ordered firewood which saved us space while packing and it was delivered at our site on arrival. Kerry was super responsive, helpful and kind. I would choose Kerry’s land over a public camping site ANY day- freedom to spread out and camp how you want plus added amenities!

Cozy Camping Cottage

Great place to go! Web was awesome to lay in. Got to park my car next to the cabin and had a nice picnic table in the area. Plenty of outhouses to use and the shower water was hot. Also had access to clean water and a sink with soap to wash your hands. Will for sure visit again!
