Until 2019, this farm was in the same family since 1889. It has been a working farm since that time. In 2019, our family purchased the farm and continue to operate it much the same way. Our family is devoted to history and preserving the essence of the past. You may very well see us pull up in one of our antique cars to greet you! Our neighbors are friendly and many are also small farmers. You can't see their farms from camp, but don't be surprised to hear roosters crowing, cattle mooing, and donkeys braying in the distance. Our farm is surrounded by the Hoosier National Forest, so you'll see and hear plenty of wildlife too. At various times during the summer, you may find wild blackberries, elderberries, and black raspberries growing right in camp!

Ridgetop Lookout (4x4 only)

Booked 3 times
Tent site · Sleeps 6
Ready for some great off-grid, minimalist camping and breathtaking views? This site has it! Site looks South, so you'll catch both sunrise and sunset, especially in winter! There is a portable privy and a water buffalo about 1/4 mile from the campsite, but no amenities close by. A high-clearance vehicle is required to reach the site, and in wet seasons, a 4x4 may be required. There is no level ground, but the clearing is well-maintained. Excellent trees are available for hammock camping, but please do not attach metal anchors in trees. Straps only. You'll love this truly remarkable site with an incredible view!

Dry Creekside 1

RV/tent site · Sleeps 10 · Vehicles under 16 ft
Quiet and secluded and surrounded by nature! Easy access to Hoosier National Forest land and nearby trails. There is a dry creekbed behind the campsite. At times of heavy rain, the creek will flow, but otherwise is dry. Campsite does not flood. There is a small pond on the property, lots of fields and woods, and great scenery!

Forgotten Lane Campsite

RV/tent site · Sleeps 4 · Vehicles under 16 ft
Have you ever camped in an abandoned road? Now you can! This road existed as early as 1816, but was moved about 200 yards in the late 1970s. The deeply cut sides give a secluded and protected feeling and massive 100+ year old trees shade the whole site. A reproduction gaslight and park bench add an old-world feel to the site. There is nothing else like it! As the roadbed is still paved a few inches down, tent stakes cannot be used, but you won't have to worry about a muddy camp! Access to the site requires driving over the old road embankment, so some lower-clearance vehicles may have difficulties. It can be accessed with a Ford Focus, however...

Dry Creekside 3

100% (1)
RV/tent site · Sleeps 4 · Vehicles under 16 ft
This shady point is bordered on two sides by a small creek. One is usually dry, but the other often has a small amount of water in it. The ground is quite level, and offers a nice view of the hillside. We are working on adding a picnic table and a footbridge that will make the path to the privy shorter, but these may not be finished before summer.

Dry Creekside 2

Booked 1 time
RV/tent site · Sleeps 4 · Vehicles under 16 ft
Cozy and sheltered, nestled up against the dry creek, this Campsite will make you feel like you've found a second home! One portion of the dry creek, near this site, usually does have some water in it, so it's great for dogs who like to cool off in a safe, fun way! Currently no picnic table, but we hope to add one soon! Drive right up to the site, and only a short wak to the privy and water buffalo.
