My first HipCamp experience, and it was GREAT! The Shed was perfect for me, and my only regret is that I only booked 1 night.
As they describe, The Shed is behind their garage, and secluded from the main house and the neighbors. I felt like I was in a sweet little cottage in the woods, with Adirondak chairs and a bench surrounding a fire pit, and 2 sweet kitties to welcome me and keep me company. (Cats aren't allowed in The Shed, so if you have allergies, no worries.)
The Shed itself was just lovely, with a sitting area, Kuerig-type coffee machine (and so many choices of tea and coffee!), and a very comfortable bed. There's a curtained area in the corner if you decide you want to use the camp toilet in the room, rather than the outdoor camp toilet, which is just a few feet away from the entrance to The Shed.
They had WiFi available in The Shed, and clear instructions on how to use it, as well as informatino about local places to visit if you want to go into town.
I didn't meet Kurt and Heidi during my time there, but their texts were clear and friendly, and they seemed genuinely interested in providing warm and welcoming hospitality during my stay.
I would definitely recommend The Shed for personal retreats, or just an overnight stay. I travel a lot between MN and PA, and finding a place like this to break up the trip was a real gift.
I hope to be able to visit again, and I hope you gt to stay here too!
