Perfect spot! I was looking for a single spot to avoid other over crowded campgrounds, this was great—would definitely stay again, flush toilet/sink an added bonus!

Super host, friendly, always helpful, and caring about his clients. You could tell they loved their property. For us it wasn't our style of camping. More or less camping in someone's front yard, (although the yard, gardens, and pond were beautiful). The lack of a shower and close by toilet with running water were a major consideration for not returning. Just not excited about using a used porta potty.

Without a doubt, best camping site ever! 90+ degree sunny day and under the canopy our camper was cool(ish) and the breeze from the field was almost like AC. We had friends over for a cookout (under the canopy) and their infant daughter had no issues with the heat. This family was awesome. We met Jonathan's dad, Gary who told us all about the 5 generation history of the property and gave us a tour of the wedding venue next door which they also operate. Jonathan's wife was busy around the property making everything beautiful.
The campsite was very well kept, Firewood was available (small charge) and the smokeless firepit (you read that right) was so nice. With a couple more sites underway this is going to be very well recieved in the Agrotourism community. Thanx for a great experience Jonathan. I hope we pass this way again.

We loved camping at apple acres. We were the only campsite on the farm. it was very peaceful, and comfortable. The site had a lovely ambiance. The adarandack chairs, the hanging hammock chairs, the lighting... everything has the touch of a host who is passionate about the experience of their guests. My kids enjoyed the pond and paddle boat. I enjoyed the trails and the historical of the apple trees.

My family had a wonderful time while visiting Apple Acres. It is close to town for shopping but far out enough that you can sit outside to enjoy nature without hearing the typical city noise. The site is well maintained, beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. For my family it has the perfect mix of rustic living with modern conveniences. The whole family including our furbabies felt welcome and would love to visit again.

We loved camping at Apple Acres! The reviews here saying that it was better than expected are absolutely correct. The carport was excellent for our little pop up (no need to bring our additional canopy) and we loved the hammock chairs and firepit. The sink area and porta-potty nearby were helpful (the flush toilets aren't too far, but it's nice to have a closer option at night). Improvements had been made even since some of the photos, including a firewood shelter. (NOTE: Don't sleep on the firewood across the road! You get a LOT for $10 and it's the best firewood we have used!) Starter wood and newspaper was even ready to go in the firepit before we got there. Jonathan and his family were very welcoming and helpful - even when our electric went out at almost Midnight and we had to wake him! Jonathan graciously came out and replaced the outlet entirely so that we could sleep warm (and so my husband could use his cpap!).
Our kids enjoyed the dirt bike track even without bikes - especially our 5yo, who just loved playing in the dirt - and we liked the walking trails back in the forest, and the small pond and ducks.
The only possible thing that could make this site better would be a shower, but we brought our own camp shower and it worked fine (on sunny days). We'll be back for sure!

We really enjoyed tent camping at Apple Acres! We were just passing through so we couldn’t stay and enjoy it very long but the setting was beautiful and access was super easy!

Better than advertised/in the pictures. Would definitely park here again. Fire pit is great, and the carport cover is a bonus if its raining to get stuff in and out of your vehicle.

Staying at Jonathan's orchard with my dog in our campervan has been a dream. I'm originally from the Indy area but had a breakdown while passing through and wanted somewhere near the city but with enough nature nearby to keep my nomadic heart happy.
Jonathan's HipCamp is perfect! It's near enough to stores and resources that I don't feel stranded, but it's in an open area with a beautiful landscape of woods, fruit trees, and open skies. My dog and I have loved being here, and really enjoy all the nature trails through the woods!
The electric plug-in and water available under the carport has been so great--I've stayed all over at HipCamps from Florida to Alaska and Canada, and this is a great option for short or long-term, and can accommodate anything from a tent to an RV (and I believe I heard they once hosted a converted school bus!).
Jonathan has been so welcoming, and he and his family are always respectful of our privacy, but he has also gone above and beyond with offering to pick things up for me and/or help me problem solve as I do repairs on my van. If you're looking for a place near Indy that's a bit off the beaten path, this is the HipCamp for you. I cannot recommend it enough! :)

What a great stop!! As a single traveler sometimes I’m just warn out at the end of the day, this was one of those days. High winds, traffic, terrible Indiana highway and I was exhausted. Jonathon was just being helpful and starting plugging stuff in, he has zero idea what that meant! Sometimes it’s the smallest things that make a huge difference. Off the beaten path, tucked away on a retired apple orchard. The view across the street was stunning. GPS took me to a house up the road. The driveway in is hard to see. I went to the Martha’s orchard sign, not the correct place but Jonathon met me there and showed me where to go. His place is directly across from the barn with the huge American flag, I’ll post a pic. He’s going to work on a great eye catching marker so we see it better! Love love loved it

32’ 5th wheel camping was wonderful. Had plenty of room, permanent awning on site was helpful for shade during peak hours and site had everything we needed! Host was very helpful providing an extension cord and checked on us regularly. WiFi connection was strong …. A complete hassle free and enjoyable trip! We walked the old apple orchard every evening, enjoyed a fire in the fire pit and plenty of room to play fetch with our dog! Highly recommend!

This was the first time we stayed somewhere using Hipcamp. Have to say the property is beautiful. Johnathan was very quick to respond to any questions that I had. The trails are nice for walking and riding. Overall great experience!!

This is a beautiful quiet and relaxing campsite. I had to have surgery and needed a nearby site to decrease travel time and allow our dogs to be with us. Site was clean. Electric and water worked fine, 50 amp service. Would recommend extension cord if you are a class a staying at this site as power is a back of site and we would not fit under canopy. We will definitely be back when needing to stay or pass thru the area. Dogs loved the site too.

Clean and well-kept/stocked campsite with beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The trails were a big favorite. Hosts were friendly and welcoming and we would 10/10 stay here again. Didn’t want to leave!

We had a peaceful and relaxing stay at Apple Acres. Homestead is beautifully maintained and the host works hard to provide a quality Hipcamp. Easy access to property. The carport is a bonus as it provides shelter from the elements. The campfire is spacious with a great smokeless firepit (we liked it so much, we bought one 😜 thanks Jonathan! Wide open space to enjoy the sunrise, stargaze, or just relax in the quiet, serene outdoors. Hosts were quick to respond to on-line communication and they were very respectful of us during our stay. We frequently use Hipcamp for our camping adventures and this one is top notch. We appreciate hosts like this and thank them for sharing a slice of their property with us. Loved it and would gladly seek out this camp again.

Camping at Apple Acres was a fantastic experience. The land was private, well stocked, and very clean. The site itself had all the necessary amenities including a fire pit and multiple bathrooms. Jonathan and his family were gratitious and attentive hosts. I 100% recommend this site to anyone looking for a private spot for their RV or simply looking to setup camp.

We loved camping at Apple Acres. Our hosts’ pride in their family farm, their love of the land and their careful attention to detail is abundantly present.
We felt welcome from the start, the beautiful peaceful greenscape and flowering garden areas were so fragrant! The camping space itself is thoughtfully laid out, with chairs around a fire pit, a fabulously comfy hammock swing and an overhead carport for weather protection if needed. A lovely pond and walking/biking trails add to the charm. We will be back. Thank you Jonathan!
