The hosts were very nice and answered all of our questions including greeting us when we got there. The property was very pretty with a lot of woods. We swam in the water it was nice, it wasn’t dirty but a little swampy so maybe not for everyone- but we had fun. The place where we put our tent (and the water) is relatively close to their house. This was no problem for us as we weren’t bothered by them(not that we would have been, again hosts were very pleasant) but might not be ideal for someone looking to camp completely away from others. Really cool town not far from camp site.

Camp Wood and Lake is a single tent site location. Due to heavy rains the week before the host offered the bed and breakfast space. We should have accepted since the bullfrogs were quite loud most of the night. Loved talking with the Photographer host.

Great site next to a frog pond. Very lush and remote feeling. Camped in a tent and got rained on all night, but still had a great stay. Friendly host and a really cool spot!

Camping on Missie and Daniel’s land was great! The campsite was easy to find, clean, and well kept. We had a great time camping out for the eclipse and Daniel and his family were very welcoming. I brought my two pet dogs and they had a great time playing with Daniel’s family pets and relaxing on the land. Will definitely be back next time I camp in Indiana.

Site 1 - in woods camp site
I came here to watch the solar eclipse and it was perfect for me. The area is beautiful and Missie and Daniel were really welcoming and showed me around the area. Lots of cool critters in the forest and water. The main selling point for me was that they allowed my dog to be off leash; she had a great time running around too. Mount Vernon is a pretty cool little town about 10 minutes away.

Missie was so nice! She brought us toilet paper since we didn’t pack any. The fire pit was nice! She came out to wish us a goodbye in the morning.

Missie and Daniel both were so nice and welcoming - truly wonderful people. Their property is so beautiful and peaceful and we were so grateful they shared it with us. The site they have, next to a big lake with a wonderful fountain was perfect for floating on rafts all day and cooking brats and s'mores all evening. The outhouse was close and clean and nice to have when tent camping, and the spot was secluded and peaceful and full of woods and trails and nature. We can't wait to go back!!!

This a beautiful, wooded space for a tent or two next to a equally beautiful pond. Being from this part of the US, but having lived in Colorado for the past 50 years, it was nice to hear the familiar night sounds and wake to the forest smells I remember as a kid.

The land was beautiful and there was firewood waiting for me when I arrived. The hosts also met with me in person, were incredibly kind, and gave me some great advice on places to check out in the area. The lake was beautiful and easily accessible from the camping area. I would definitely go back and highly recommend it as a place to visit if you are in the area.

Virginia was a lovely host and very accommodating. She makes you feel at home. Beautiful property and tons of fish in the pond. I enjoyed watching the birds, turtles and just soaking up the beautiful scenery. We will definitely be back 😊

Fantastic host and campsite! There was a nice fire pit with wood provided for free, there are two fun dogs that will greet you and are sweet, beautiful lake with fishing and boats and an outhouse to use. Beautiful part of the country.

Great little spot in Southern Indiana to get away for the weekend. The location was ideal for us, as were looking to visit New Harmony for the weekend. The camping spot was spacious, with a fire ring, flat location for the tent, and an old farm wagon to serve as our kitchen table. The lake and woods around were beautiful to sit and ponder, and the property relaxing and comfortable. Hosts were so very pleasant, welcoming, but also respected our privacy. Looking forward to coming back again for a nice weekend getaway.

Host warned me that last time he was in the out house he saw wasps, so I avoided it. Unfortunately, he didn't warn me about a little plywood table/chair combo and when I sat on it I was immediately stung by a wasp. But, these things happen when camping.
Where I come from, the 'lake' is a pond. Not a big deal.
The out house is right next to the 'lake', which could reflect poorly on tbe water quality if the outhouse is ever usable again.
I fulfill photo requests at findagrave.com. What really rubbed me the wrong way is that there are at least three gravestones that will never appear in findagrave photos because they have been incorporated into the decor at the 15 Acre Wood. Families had these made to memorialize their loved ones, not to pave the path to the compost pile.
Everything else was as described.

We stayed here while traveling cross country with our dog. It was the perfect overnight spot. Missie and Daniel were so kind and welcoming, and respectful of social distancing practices. Their land is very peaceful. We enjoyed a campfire at night and had access to potable water.

Hosts were friendly. Plenty of chopped wood available for their fire pit. Cute dogs that like to hang out. A life-saver to camp here since park-camping is currently closed. Very pretty land - camp spot is behind their house next to a lake. Lots of trees.
