Brady’s place was just right for a one-night stopover on my cross-country trip! There is soft grass for pitching a tent, and a graveled area if you have a trailer. Brady provides a small picnic table, a cooking table, and several chairs, all under a spacious canopy for protection from rain (or hot sun!). There are also lights, an electric outlet, and a hose for fresh water. The outdoor shower is wonderful! There’s also a comfy swinging bench for watching the sun set over the small pond.
My only caveat is that the area is pretty close to the road, with no barrier. There wasn’t a lot of traffic and little to none at night (so noise wasn’t an issue), but you do have to keep an eye on kids or your dog so they don’t run into the road.

Beautiful spot, thoughtful owner. Really the best spot we’ve ever been. Caught lots of bass, there’s a little place down the road that serves chicken wings and drinks!

This was a great spot to stay for the night. Peaceful setting and easy access from I-70 while traveling cross country. Brady greeted us and ensured we had everything we needed for a peaceful night.

Brady has a fantastic place on a beautiful pond with all the extras that you could ever ask for. This was the best night. I have spent using Hipp camp. He even had two ply in the Porta John. I mean who does that? This place was awesome. I would go out of my way to come back here and stay longer

Great place to stay. Quite and clean. Well set up campsite. Communication with Brady was great. I let him know I was arriving late and he met me to show me the place at 11:00 pm. Very pleasant person. Staying again on my return trip home.

What an amazing place!! So idyllic , peaceful , quiet.. and everything we needed & more for our stay . We’ve had 3 long days of travel from Colorado with grandkids & dogs. We sure appreciated this wonderful place . The host was super communicative & extra helpful with any of our questions . The outdoor shower was perfect .. especially because it’s been hot & humid . The grandkids loved hanging out by the pond & exploring. We also think we learned about a new toad ( the Wood houses toad .. it kinda screams at night) fun for kids, adults & dogs for sure!!!❣️

It was very nice. The shower was wonderful. Brady was nice. It wasn’t for a light sleeper in a tent. Trains, frogs, and trucks were frequently heard. But the set up is superb!

Quiet Countryside Camping
We made a last minute reservation at Quiet Countryside Camping for a few days when the campground we were staying at flooded. Brady greeted us when we arrived and then gave us our space. The campsite had everything you could need: bathroom, hot shower, fun lighting, Adirondack chairs, fishing poles, bug spray, firewood... seriously everything. We loved the covered picnic table area and my kids had a ton of fun fishing in the pond. We visited the nearby lake beach one day and had a great time. The nights were quiet with fireflies and bullfrogs. We were there during the week so a decent amount of truck traffic during the day. I'm assuming the weekends are quieter. Campsite is set back from the road and feels private. Everything worked out great for our family!

By FAR this is one of our favorite spots! Not only is it a level gravel spot with electric and water…. But there is also: a pond with fish in it, a covered patio with a table, fire pit with chopped wood available, a charcoal grill w/ charcoal available, chairs AND. A heated outdoor shower! It’s off the busy road and gives a sense of country life/relaxation while traveling. It was AWESOME!

We had such a wonderful stay at this secluded-feeling campsite in Vandalia, IL. While there are homes nearby, the layout and surroundings still made it feel private and peaceful — like our own little haven in nature.
Brady’s site had everything we needed and more. It was clean, thoughtfully set up, and incredible. We enjoyed the fishing and one of the absolute highlights was the heated outdoor shower — what a treat! Taking a hot shower in the crisp morning air was such a refreshing way to start the day. We left feeling relaxed and already talking about coming back. Highly recommend!

This site was perfect for us. A nice quiet stopover on our way to Missouri. The setup was great. The shower and bathroom were a much appreciated bonus. We loved just sitting by the fire listening to the bullfrogs. Thank you!

Quiet Countryside Camping
I camped here in my truck on the way to Denver. It was raining and storming when I arrived and continued through the entire night so I didn’t get to experience much except the sound of hail on my camper shell. Brady came out in the rain and greeted me. He was pleasant and we chatted for a bit. I would stay again for sure.

Brady is friendly and is a great host! We had a level spot for our rv, a covered picnic table, and use of a grill and firepit with firewood. There is also an outdoor shower! We sat outside in the evening overlooking his pond listening to the bull frogs. He has a very friendly dog to welcome guests. It's a perfect spot to soak in the Illinois countryside.

What a great spot. The host/owner Brady was super cool. He made sure we had what we needed. Gave us a great rundown of the property and left us alone. Dog friendly, and our dog loved the place. She is a coonhound mix and her nose was excited for all the country smells. We will be back again soon.

Brady’s land is at the top of our favorite camping experience list. Came here with my teens to unplug. Loved roasting marshmallows in the fire pit with the provided wood, making our meals on the grill, watching the sun and moon reflect off the pond, sleeping in our tent on the fluffy grass and freshening up in the great outdoor shower. DQ blizzards about a mile away were a great way to cool down in the middle of the day. Pinning this place for sure. Thanks for proving a great escape!

Camping at Brady’s land was so peaceful and relaxing. It’s just the break I needed from work and the city. Brady went above and beyond. The camp was perfectly stocked with everything I could ever need. He even gave a few recommendations for local eateries. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Lovely campsite with all the amenities. Water, electricity, covered pavilion with lights, full size grill, Adirondike chairs and a bench facing a nice pond. Flat grassy area for a tent. Plus, a porta potty and solar shower. What more does one need?

I honestly couldn’t improve on this Hipcamp.
The host,Brady met us on arrival. Firewood was provided. Gravel pad, permanent shelter next to pad, grill, shower and toilet. Great place for our 1 night layover. Even fishing poles for the pond. Full hookups.
