Nice property. Gorgeous sunset. Portapottie is on the other side of the property which I wish I knew beforehand as I may have camped elsewhere. It's a bit dark since it's in a barn and has no hand sanitizer so just make sure you've got a flashlight and hand sanitizer if needed. The instructions say if you have a car small enough with high clearance you can cross the bridge (mine was too big to drive across which is fine), but the owner said the bridge isnt built to be driven across. So for anyone thinking of driving to your campsite, just be aware of that! :)

My daughter and I love camping and horses and this was the perfect mix!! Loved our site, we were able to set up hammocks and have a nice fire. The train is loud at night but it kinda makes it more of an adventure. The horses coming into our site was just the most epic and amazing thing. Host is so sweet and we cannot wait to come back to do a trail ride! Note: the road to the site is very bumpy so keep this in mind with vehicle. Recommend!!

This private creek site was simply magical and breathtaking to surround ourselves in! Beautiful scenery, hearing the water flowing in the creek as well as, the animals (big & small), fireflies and picturesque landscapes, wildflowers! We had a Great time! My Daughter and Granddaughters all agreed as well! Loved the privacy! Merideth was very accommodating and a great host! We will definitely be back real soon! ❤️

It was truly a captivating area! Horses came out at night with fireflies flying around and it almost felt it was to good to by true! Absolutely worth it and will be back!

We’ve had the pleasure of staying here on multiple occasions, and each time, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We always make sure to book a horse trail ride during our visit, and the creak is an absolute delight for our kids to play in. Meredith is incredibly accommodating and always goes above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning in the future!

Meredith was accommodating to us for a last minute request and shared alternatives due to a rainy weather situation. We had a self-contained camper van and were proposed a spot in the parking next to the barn to rest for the night. We were (unfortunately!) not able to take advantage of the full experience at the private creek site but we saw the potential :-)

This is a magical place! My kids and I have been coming here for years and look forward to it all year long- the horses, the beautiful land, the creek, and the excitement of the freight train passing overhead are all highlights ! Highly recommend!

We aren’t even home yet and already planning our next trip! Plus recommended it to a friend! Between the private site, waking up to horses grazing right in front of tent, and the beautiful scenery we had a blast. Not to mention the two rides we enjoyed with their fabulous mules and horses! I wanted to stuff Berry in the trunk 😂 truly a hidden gem! We are so thankful to Meredith and her staff for such an amazing weekend!

It was great, worth the money, and quite secluded compared to other places to camp. There is only one campsite for campers, so you won’t have anyone near you 🙂🙂 Train was actually cool to experience. Horses are a bonus.

Perfect spot for tent camping. We rolled in on bicycles and the site had everything you need. Fire pit, bench, water, and a porta potty.

I had a great time at Millbrook. The views were really wonderful, a clear, pebbly creek, footbridge, wooden train tracks, meadows, and of course horses. I found the site easy to locate and I felt safe. Meredith was quick to respond and help when a small issue arose.

This was a very unique and special experience! The horses are very friendly and will come right up to you to say hi. The host was very easy to work with and made the process of getting there seamless and simple. We would definitely return!

We had a great time “roughing it” with the horses. The spot was really nice, right next to the creek. We were able to build a campfire with the firewood on the ground.
Then…the most magical thing happened. All the horses on the farm came and paid us a visit. It was awesome and beautiful to have them so near to us.
Thank you for offering such a unique experience for us inexperienced campers to have.

Great camping spot! The toilet is near the entrance, so you need to drive back to use it. But the land is gorgeous and the horses are amazing to see while camping.

Nice place to go tent camping. We did see/feel the freight train go rolling by in the middle of the night. I had read about it in other reviews so we were semi-expecting it. Not too far from Chicago. Wish we would of booked horse rides earlier than the few days before that I tried. It was my bad but the host kept us in the loop of one cancelation opportunity (which we couldn't get there in time for) and was very accommodating.

It was a beautiful spot, and the train overhead at 2:30am was fine, but horses roaming free and walking/rummaging through the camp at all hours made it hard to sleep.

What an incredible experience. When we arrived we followed the written instructions down to a bridge where we crossed by foot. The camp site was just across the small bridge. There was a train that came though. However, it did not bother us at all. The site itself was perfect. Nestled right next to a beautiful creek where we did a little catch and release fishing. The site had a picnic table and firepit. It was very quiet and no one bothered us at all. The horses were friendly and when they were through with a days work they crossed over the bridge and out to the field. It was very cool to experience that. Over all the stay was awesome! Sunday morning we woke up and enjoyed coffee while trail riders made their way through the trails. We took the 1:15 pm trail ride and it was wonderful. The trails were beautiful and the horses did exceptional. After the ride we was able to enjoy some time with the horses and they also have a small petting area with smaller animals. Thank you Millbrook Farm for a wonderful experience. We hope to be back next year to enjoy the 2 hr ride and another night of camping.

Site was as described. Private, quiet, and secluded. The train bridge and creek next to it make it an exceptional camp site. Watching the horse tours throughout the day was an added bonus. Very peaceful place. Would definitely recommend camping here. Much better experience than a large campground!

I enjoyed camping in the horse pasture. I loved listened to the horses walk over the wooden bridge. I felt safe as a single female camper. I did not have to buy any firewood due to there being enough around the wooded area.
I loved the moonlight ride on Friday the 13th. It was very awesome to have Jason join our ride. It was so relaxing to walk to my campsite after.
The train did not pass in the night. It was pretty too watch go by the next morning.
I will definitely be returning!

Had no issues finding the ranch after entering the trail ride address, just had to pull up the instructions on where to drive through the farm to reach the site. Site is super cozy and private in its own little corner with a flowing creek, wooden bridge, fire pit (no grate, bring your own). Trail rides were going on all weekend but they didn't come past our site at all. After bedtime the horses came over the bridge and did their own thing in the fields. We heard several different species of owls, saw many other various birds, crawfish, little baby fish, and many different colors of butterflies. NO pesky raccoons like at campgrounds! The goats in the petting zoo at the front are very friendly and sweet. We only spoke with Meredith in passing, but she was helpful to any questions we had. The outhouse is in the very back of the trail ride barn kind of hidden. The trash bin and the water spout are all a few steps from the outhouse. The train passed by on one night, but not the other. It is definitely loud, but it doesn't last long and you can just go back to sleep. It's such a cozy little spot, we would definitely return! Thanks for having us!
