Lazy Days at Emerald Acres
Lovely place to camp! Beautiful views and hiking trails, and it was so much fun meeting the goats, llamas, and of course Stella the dog. The hosts are very friendly and the site is clean and convenient to get to.

Lazy Days at Emerald Acres
Beautiful, wooded site with convenient bathroom and shower. Water and electric hookup nearby. Best, friendly dog I’ve ever seen. Llamas, goats, a pig, and chickens (even were given some fresh eggs!), A few trails for hiking through the woods. Super peaceful and private; wish we could have stayed much longer❤️

Great camping NE of St. Louis
We stayed at the Prairegrass site, which is the most remote site. Would absolutely stay again. The site is beautiful and secluded - plenty of flat space for whatever size tent you have. The site is maybe about a 3-5 minute walk from the parking. Monica was so friendly and helpful - she offered to meet us with her ATV to drive our gear to the site (and back at the end) so we wouldn't need to carry it. There was power and a bathroom with flushing toilet and hot shower at the barn. The goats and llamas were very cool. And the best part might have been Stella to dog - she led us to the site on arrival and kept us company at our campfire each night (super friendly and loved snuggles but also easily kept her distance if you made it clear you didn't have any snuggles and then as soon as we went into our tent she would head back to the barn for the night). About 20 minutes to Edwardsville (cute town with plenty of restaurants) and about 45 minutes to St. Louis.

Prairegrass Field at Emerald Acres
Gorgeous view
The property is massive. It goes all the way back into a field with a lot of branching paths. The site I stayed at was right in the middle of the field with the moon shining down during the night. It was gorgeous. It is quite a trek to get back there from the parking area, but Monica was kind enough to give me a ride to my site with all of my stuff in her off-road vehicle. Idk if that happens with every guest, but it was definitely appreciated as I had all my luggage loaded on a motorcycle. Overall I really enjoyed my stay there. The nature aspect is just too perfect. 10/10 would recommend.
