Local Farm. Close enough to socialize. Far enough away to matter. Next door to “‘More Polish Pottery” in Big Rock IL. Near Dekalb, Sandwich, Plano, Hinkley, Big Rock, Aurora, and Sugar Grove. Many sites, bars, shops, and places to eat. Touching Big Rock forest preserve. Features egg stand and wood sales on site for 7 a large bundle. Feel free to pull wood from the land yourself as well. Private setting. Fire pit. Multiple spots to choose from. Great views. Pet friendly. Local showers and pool at local Plano YMCA. Need to drive to get to showers and go when the facility is open. Possible to see farm animals up close and personal. Please leave them at site. 11 min or less from Raging Waves Water Park. It’s right down the road! An hour commute or less to Chicago. Open early this year Feb 19th through Sept 30th (extended due to nice weather so if you can book it. You can stay.) The end of the season this year will be on or about September 30th (but if we say open on the site after feel free to book). And then we will be closed for the winter until on or about May first (again if open you can book before this date); Unless otherwise specified. Usually closed for the winter months. Sugar Grove Family Fun Center up the road. Goat Yoga and Wholly Bean Coffee close by. Local forest preserve has toilets (within driving distance and use while open before sundown) or bring your own porti-john (I find a bucket and a garbage bag do wonders). Camp with your dogs and horses!! Animals welcome (trails at the local preserve). Set up a temp spot for them with owner permission. We have the space. There is riding at the forest preserve right around the corner and a local farm spot where you can call and pet horses. We have a swing set and small child play sets. A trampoline. A hammock. Y’all are more than welcome to use it. Just be respectful and make sure your children do not harm our land, animals, gardens, or themselves. 💕🙏 Again offering substantial fire wood bundles for 7 dollars a bundle. New egg and farm stand added this year. Two new picnic tables added. Well water available upon request for those that have travel tanks to refill (ask the owner and schedule a time to use the hose).

Peace reigns at Notalotta Acres. Kimberly was a communicative and generous host. I was able to park my RV on the open grass next to the camp site. The other campers were quiet and respectful. Thanks, Kimberly for sharing your space.

This is a lovely, peaceful place to stay. The sites are well mowed, each with its own picnic table, and spaced apart for privacy. Though a bit of a remove from the farm, we very much enjoyed hearing the roosters crowing! The host very generously leaves a dozen eggs for campers to take – such a nice touch.

Camping in wild thunderstorms

Kimberly is a great help with directions to the location and campsite. During my second camp at her place, we had some wild thunderstorms (the weather just changed overnight), and she kept sending us weather updates and checking in on us all through the night. At one point, we had to quickly run to a nearby gas station for an hour to get through the crazy weather. She gave us clear directions and was also willing to help us out. Will definitely plan again for camping at her site.

Wonderful spot so closeby! The sites are tucked away and private with cute little trails inter-connecting some of them. Exceptional value and wonderfully thoughtful host.

Kimberly went out of her way to make this an EXCEPTIONAL stay for me and my son. We loved the property, the goats, the kittens, the farm fresh eggs. 15 minutes away is windy acres farm where we bought fresh apple cider donuts. Our site was pristine and we were able to cook steak and potatoes over the large fire pit! We will be back!

We stayed here on a spur of the moment decision and it was one of the best stays we’ve had! Very shady and spacious area (we have a 13 person tent and it fit no problem). Lovely host and fun for the kids to see some farm animals. Roosters do make themselves heard, so white noise was helpful!

Great spot, easy to get to! This site was nice and secluded from the others. It was surrounded by vegetation and the grass/clover lawn was well maintained. It overlooked a field which had a more natural buffer between you and the farmed portion adjacent - added to the privacy. There wasn't much direct overhead canopy cover, which I preferred because I camped in my truck camper that has a couple solar panels on top. I didnt use the firepit, but having it is a nuce option. My dog enjoyed it there. I stayed on a Saturday which happened to be one that the neighbor was throwing a party. I wasnt surprised, since Kimberly mentions it in the description. It was loud, but did end around 11pm as expected. The rest of the time was quiet. Kimberly is quick to respond and had great communication. I would def stay here again. Thanks for the eggs!

The site had such great vibes and we enjoyed camping under the stars very much. We arrived late in the dark and Kimberly was so kind to leave out some fire starters and delicious eggs. It was very easy to communicate with her and find our campsite in the dark. I would 100% come back here in a heartbeat if i were to drive cross country again. Thank you Kimberly!!!

I had a wonderful experience camping here! The location is peaceful, clean, and beautifully maintained. The facilities were well taken care of, and everything was easy to access. What stood out the most was the kindness and hospitality of the owner—always welcoming, helpful, and making sure I felt comfortable during my stay. It truly felt like a home away from home in nature. Kimberly's place was fantastic for our purposes, and Kimberly was a delight. She helped out with our dog (via Rover) and also helped us with a few things before we got on the road. And she was a pleasure to talk to. Again, the spot itself fit us perfectly. And Kimberly had prepared some things before we arrived, like kindling for the brick firepit as well as a bucket of water, which we used for dishes and such. And there were farm fresh eggs available (at a small station not far from our site) for us in the morning, which was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend stopping here if you're on the road, especially if you've got a pup with you. Our dog had a fun time checking out the goats and playing with Kimberly's dogs while we were out doing a family thing. But we never got to meet Kevin, the farm peacock, which was a bummer! Lol. Thanks, Kimberly!

Great campsite for beginners and family! This was my family’s first camping trip and we had a great time. The campsite is well kept and just the right size. I appreciated being close to the entrance but still far enough away to not be bothered by noise.

We really enjoyed camping here! Spot B is relatively secluded. There was shade around the edges and open sky in the middle. It has a nice fire ring and a comfortable amount of space. Kimberly provided a bucket of water and a bundle of fire wood, which we really appreciated. We were able to find plenty of smaller pieces on the ground, as well. We’re looking forward to cooking up the fresh eggs we got. Would definitely camp here again!

Nice camping spot, only one hour away from Chicago yet gorgeous countryside. Kimberley is very responsive and she tries her best to accomodate her guests. She provided a fire starter pack and a dozen of fresh eggs. Those eggs are better than anything you can get from store. Camp site is very clean. Overall I really enjoyed my stay there.

I loved my experience on camping at Kimberly's land, definitely would like to do it again! The instruction was clear and the site was well maintained, they have swing area and egg for sale from their chicken 🐔 very nice lady, would definitely recommend!

This was my first solo camping experience (while dog sitting!) and it was great! The land is so pretty and mellow with few different little areas to relax. I picked this place because it’s dog friendly and Ludo really enjoyed being off leash in the doggy park and they even had toys! We got to see the peacock, the turkey, rooster and ducks roaming everywhere! It was so cute. Kimberly was very communicative and friendly and even brought us some eggs from her chickens. We were the only ones there Sunday so we got to explore, play and enjoy the hammock and swings peacefully, although the camp sites are really nicely separated and secluded by the trees so I’m sure even with other campers, you still get a nice level of cozy privacy. Can’t wait to visit again!

Cute little spot in a really nice location (the nature reserve is close, as are a lot of sports fields if you’re around for a tournament)! Kimberly was so nice and super helpful; I’d definitely recommend site B!
