I loved hearing the owls and seeing the horse in the morning. This was a lovely piece of land and I would definitely recommend camping here.

I had a wildcard reservation permitting me the freedom to camp anywhere. I selected the oak grove area near the two reserve sites. It was a little lumpy but peaceful. Water is at the top of hill by the around about. Look for reed tap with a white PVC tube near the semi trailer. The dog on site will bark at you and keeps its distance, it was a love site.

This is such a beautiful series of sites surrounded by old growth trees. We were lucky enough to have it all to ourselves on a weekday. Our 21 ft long, 10 ft high Minnie Winnebago was a bit tall for the tree limbs and the grass road a bit rustic and bumpy arriving after dark, but we fit and found a level spot near the teepee. They were harvesting corn up the hill from us in the morning. It was a very peaceful farm and nature experience.

The location was very pretty. One area of improvement would be the description of the tipi. It was not clear to me when I booked that the tipi is open to the elements. I wound up having to get a tent and put it inside the tipi to avoid rain and animals. Another area of improvement would be to cover the firewood with a tarp to prevent it from getting wet.

Our pups loved this place! Three sites that were a good distance apart, no one bothered us, and the site was well maintained. You could definitely fit a couple tents per site if you're going with family!
Porta poty was very clean and easily accessible.

Great private site. Loved going for a walk and seeing the horses.
Only downside, which is just the reality of camping, was the mud by the firing from rain a few days before hadn’t been able to dry because it was in a shaded part of the site making it tough to use. Just to be aware of if it had rained recently. Great place!

The Tipi spot was absolutely wonderful. It was a big space with room for our dog to run off leash, surrounded by beautiful woods. There was a wonderful sunrise over a hill on the east side of the property. The porta potty is far enough that you don’t have to look at it from your site, but close enough that it’s a short walk. The potable water is a little further walk but again, not that bad. The tipi itself was incredible. Our kids slept in it but could easily fit our family of four. There was a picnic table and a nice big fire ring. There were campers at the other spots but we still felt private and secluded.

Staying in the teepee was overall a very peaceful and lovely experience. I definitely experienced a couple of challenges that could have been avoided, had the listing been more clear on the experience a traveler might have in staying in the teepee. I am an avid camper, well versed in outdoors and generally really comfortable in these conditions. However, this time I searched “accommodations” because I was working this particular weekend and looking to avoid tent set up/tear down. To say the teepee is “accommodations” isn’t accurate in my opinion when it is not a situation where you are sealed up & protected from elements like rain, or critters that roam. The first waking morning, I woke up to a rain that came in through the top of the teepee. It was quick to pass, and thankfully I had an early alarm and was just waking anyway- but I had to push all my items to the side of the floor to avoid getting pretty wet. The second morning I woke to two birds flying in from the top of the teepee- very early morning and when I swiped my hand to shoo them out, they shat right in my hair which was still down on my pillow. I had to go into work… & no shower available. Other than these experiences and hearing a couple mice scuttle inside while I slept & watching ants march in rows on my floor, I did really enjoy being out there! It was really special but I definitely would have appreciated knowing more of what these “accommodations” were about beforehand.

Great site! Loved seeing the horses in the morning! Made me miss mine. Communicative host. There was a lightning storm, but since my vehicle was right there i was able to stay safe! Some other places I've stayed don't allow vehicles closer than 150 yards, very grateful that I was able to park near my tent

Had the best time at the Tipi site. Very peaceful and nice scenery with the horses. We felt very safe. Make sure you bring bug repellent. Also hope the toilet wasn't too far from the site but other than that, we loved it.

Honestly, a great campsite. The owners were friendly and brought us firewood. We only stayed for a night, but I wish it was longer would definitely recommend staying here.

This is a really cool site that's tucked away in the middle of nowhere but is still easy to get to. Nice clean site, have a little steam meandering through the back side of the site and there are no outside noises. Meredith is super cool to work with, will provide nice dry firewood at a low price.

This was our second stay at BBR. The weather sure kicked our butts this time though. The bugs were insane! Last time we stayed in August and they weren't too bad, but this time July + lots of rain had them crazy. The weather changed after we drove there and we got A LOT of water and even some tornado watches with lots of lightning. We had to leave after all that mess. Host was VERY kind and refunded us for the days we weren't able to stay. She's an awesome human. I don't know how she'd do this but I would suggest trying to level the camp sites better and work on not making them pure mud. We've only stayed at campsite 1 (as it's called now) but it's A LOT more muddy compared to 2023 and most of the deadfall is gone now. The pooling water made tent camping difficult. You can also tell a few RVs or Vans have parked there due to the divots in the ground. Campsite 2 (which we toured) was way too bumping and I wouldn't dare try to put a tent there. Maybe in the clearing set into the trees, but again bugs plus not close to the firepit! The bugs weren't phased by bug spray either.
All that said I DO highly recommend this spot. Minus the occasional train off in the distance it's quiet and safe. Very out of the way. The signs she's added really help you figure out where camp is now though. Both camp sites are spread out enough you won't see the other family, although we were alone there at the time.

The tipi was not exactly what I was expecting. Having an opening to the sky and gaps on the ground made it feel unsuitable to sleep in. Also, we knew it would rain during the night, so I decided to sleep in my van. I think the listing should be more explicit about how you’ll want to pitch a tent inside the tipi if that’s where you wish to sleep. Also, the porta potty was far from the site.

We used site one. The area is very secluded. There is a lot of land to walk around and explore. The fire pit is big and spacious. There are a few parks nearby to go fishing/hiking. There is a Walmart nearby if you forget something. Overall, we had an amazing time. We will definitely be coming back here.

Property was a little overgrown and buggy but it was very private and exactly what I was looking for. Porta potty was kept very clean and the sites were far enough apart you felt like you were out there alone which was great!

There was no communication. I was trying to get ahold of them all day. When we arrived and did not know if we were in the correct place I called. When she called me back I felt chastised for driving past the site we were meant to park at. When we got to the “site” it was ill maintained, overgrown, wet, and buggy. There was no way we could stay so we left and drove another hour until we found another camp ground.
