Great spot on the water. Host gave good directions and responded quickly. We loved the table they had set up right next to the water, Nice place to have lunch and also really enjoyed the kayaks.

We loved staying at this HipCamp. It was one of the best locations we have stayed. Literally feet away from the Pend Oreille River, the views were amazing. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had to change our plans and they worked with HipCamp to get two nights refunded even though it was outside their cancellation policy. We would definitely stay here again.

Stewart and Shawna's waterfront camp was AMAZING! We had a wonderful time. The water was perfect for kids of all ages. We had a large group and they were so kind and accommodating and it made for a great family camp out. It was great to be able to bring our dogs with us as well and have them off leash to run around and swim with us. They had some super fun water toys by the dock that everyone loved to play on. We will definitely return if we are in the area again.

Great location. Beautiful view. Relaxing. The dogs loved playing in the water. No shade trees so remember to set up your camper to accommodate for that and bring shade.

Stewart and Shawna’s place is amazing! Their kids were wonderful with mine, which made the stay even better. The property offers a stunning view, a private and relaxing setting, and an overall welcoming atmosphere. I would highly recommend booking with them!

Beautiful spot with great host. We were welcomed as we came in and directed to select an available spot. Enjoyed a campfire in the early morning. Bring your mosquito spray!

Loved kayaking basically right from camp. And loved the fire pit option. As advertised bring your own table, chairs, camp toilet. Didn’t love the train waking me up a few times during the night. And as others have said the bugs are an issue especially in the evening when the wind dies so have a solid plan for that. I think a screened bug shelter would’ve allowed us to enjoy the evening a little better. All in all glad we tried it out.

We loved camping the past five nights on the water! Stewart and Shawna were extremely accommodating and communicative. We had reached out very early in the spring and they allowed us to drive out to check out the space before hand to assure we would fit comfortably. I had booked sites 2&3; we brought a 33 foot travel trailer, and my mother brought a 40foot 5th wheel. The two sites together were mowed down and fit us very comfortably. Our teenagers even pitched a couple tents on site. We also brought a 23ft tritoon boat that was kept at the dock. The boat launch was only a five minute drive away and we kept our car and boat trailer at camp as well with no extra charge. This spot was so perfect spot for our family! The kids loved the beach, they used the lily pad and kayaks daily. My toddler really loved the shallow water near the beach. The property/land was quiet, relaxing and very peaceful at these sites. We boated to Sandpoint on the 4th for the firework show - that was about a 30-45min adventure each way.
The only advice for future campers is to bring lots of bug spray and citronella candles. The mosquitoes are thick (expected since you are literally right on the water).

Reached out a day prior, asking if I can arrive earlier than the check in time. They agreed and said no one will be there anyways. Didn’t arrive early like I was hoping for, but I did arrive at 1pm like check in time is.
Upon arrival, there was someone in a random location, then another group in the spot I had reserved. It was explained the spot I reserved the day prior. But there was a group fully set up in my area.
The owners did go talk to them and mentioned they’ll be leaving in a hour. Keep in mind, it was 2 1/2 hours later when they finally left. The whole time my wife, and dogs sat around in the heat waiting for that group to pack up. But they insisted on sitting around and taking their sweet time.
One owner said they were locals, and then his wife said they were at the wrong spot that they reserved.
Funny enough, they didn’t even go to the other spot when they packed up, and there was no reservations online showing that either. So the whole time I felt very annoyed, after the long distance drive to be led on.
Going through other reviews, this seems to be an ongoing issue with people being at the wrong spot. Not sure why this can’t be fixed since it was mentioned the first time. There’s a long list of other stuff, but I’m not going to go into that all. Overall, I highly don’t recommend this location to anyone.

Wow, the views are incredible. We enjoyed the tranquility. The space was level too, nice bonus! We actually drove by the property by accident, but the hosts were easy to reach and stayed on the phone with us until we found the correct property. Out dog seemed love it as much as we did. We didn't use all the fun water toys (kayaks, paddle-boards, swim deck, and floating mat) since it's Fall. However, I imagine it would be lots of fun to do so. There was even a fire pit all set up. We will be back for sure next year! Thank you Stewart and Shawna!

The site was beautiful and peaceful. Great lake access and the camp host was very friendly!
The only downside was the spots weren't labeled and the site we had reserved was taken. We had selected that spot due to the closeness to the beach and was a little bummed out spot was taken.
If the spots were labeled then I think that would have been better.
Overall it was a good experience.

Stewart and Shawna are wonderful hosts and they went out of their way to ensure we were shored up for an awesome time! They seriously are the best...friendly, easy to talk to and generous people.
We loved having the entire dock and waterfront to ourselves. The sandy beach was perfect for the Littles to play in and the water trampoline brought an extra enjoyment to all ages. We were a large group and we were comfortable camping in the field, having a camp fire on the sandy beach, swimming, playing in the water and there was plenty of space for us all.
We have some amazing memories we are taking home with us and we are so grateful to have had such a great camping spot... the sunsets were off the charts, the area is quiet and the weather was perfect (a slight breeze off the water on the first hot day and a refreshment of rain that dried up super fast on our last day). We will definitely look into coming here again and again!

This is a really nice site. Stewart and Shanna have prepared. We were able to go swimming. There is no sun protection, but the location is on a beautiful part of the lake and the space is relatively private.

Good times and a beautiful property. Nice easy drive to the lake. Water is very shallow but didn’t stop the kids from having a great time. Site 1 is the access to owners boat, so if people walking right through your camp bothers you don’t choose this site. All in all good experience, the owners were very accommodating and kind. Thanks for allowing us to come stay.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming! It was very nice to have the dock available to pull our boat up to. They also had multiple kayaks and paddle boards available for use as well as a water trampoline. . Nice sandy beach with a fire pit. Beautiful views! They had some wood they gave to us too!

We had a ball camping here on July 4th. Kids had the time of their life playing on the water trampoline and kayaking by themselves. Beautiful spot and very sweet, hard working hosts!

We loved this spot and we're there for three days. There was no noise, it was very dark which made viewing the stars great. I do have to say that the entrance from the main road and the driveway could be marked better. Overall this place is great!

Wow what a great view, perfect weather and water conditions. The host family is amazing and our little son loved playing with their little boys. The campfire is perfectly set up on the beach, the sand is soft and fun to play in... almost like being on the ocean. Great open area for Kite flying and the water is so so so warm. What a great vacation.

The views are amazing. It’s a very relaxing spot. be sure to be present and take in everything there is to see from the lake, mountains and wildlife. Also close to downtown Sandpoint which is convenient.

This is a great place! The dogs were able to run free, and it was extremely peaceful. Later in the year when the lake is a bit higher this will be an amazing place to stay!

Peaceful weekend! Stewart, Shawna and their kiddos were so delightful and welcoming. The big open space provided endless entertainment for our two labrador retrievers. They had a blast swimming, running through the reeds and watching the flocks of Canada Goose. We enjoyed a 70° day on the first day of fall. The opportunity to see the family photo production brought laughter and joy. My husband and I reminisced about our two kiddos and laughed at the photographer trying to capture the perfect shot with the young kids. The location is spacious, quiet, quaint, simple, yet thoughtfully developed. We would love to come back in the summertime and enjoy some water activities. We have visited many Hipcamp sites. This is amongst our top favorites.
