This property was used by the Shoshone Indian tribe as a summer camp area. Later after the pioneers came they set up a dance floor and had parties here. The dance floor has since overgrown. This property has also been the host to never dams. It has been in our family for many years and we have enjoyed it. Learn more about this land: The campsites are located in a wooded area so lots of shade. 2 sites are creek side along maple creek and the other has a small stream and a pond. All sites have a fire pit available. All sites are carry in carry out. Easily accessible with a four wheel drive. You will need to cross maple creek to reach site 1. The road down to the river bottoms is a bit steep so 4 wheel drive is recommended. This area is ideal for tent camping.

Site 1 -drive through the creek

This campsites is located in a wooded area so lots of shade. This site is creek side along maple creek. All sites have a fire pit available. All sites are carry in carry out. Easily accessible with a four wheel drive. You will need to cross maple creek to reach this site. Depending on the creek volume it is not always passable in the spring. In this case you will be sent to an alternate site. This Site also has outdoor carpet and patio furniture at the site. The road down to the river bottoms is a bit steep so 4 wheel drive is recommended. This area is ideal for tent camping or small teardrop trailers. This site has a picnic table. There is one portable toilet for the 4 campsites it sits between site 2-3 Come enjoy the wilderness and watch the stars. This area was used by the local Indian tribes during the summer. We have found many flint arrowheads and a bread stone on the property. Nearby: There is a cave on little mountain to the west that they wintered in and it is a short hike to go see it. There is a 6 mile round trip hike to the head of maple creek. Trail head at the top of maple creek road. If you have atv’s there are trails for that also.

Site 2 - The original

This campsite is right beside the creek. This site has less trees than the other sites. Site 2 also has outdoor carpet and a picnic table. The toilet is between site 2-3. All sites have a fire pit available. All sites are carry in carry out. Easily accessible with a four wheel drive. The road down to the river bottoms is a bit steep so 4 wheel drive is recommended. This area is ideal for tent camping and small trailers. Come enjoy the wilderness and watch the stars. History: This area was used by the local Indian tribes during the summer.
