Built in 1929, the Smith Hotel and Boarding House opened for business in 1930 (Now The Idaho City Hotel) . Mrs. Mary Smith catered mostly to logging crews who feasted on her wonderful breakfasts, took her boxed lunches to the woods, and returned in the evening for huge, hot dinners. Now the Idaho City Hotel features 5 cozy rooms in Idaho City's historic district and two RV spots. Although our quiet RV spots do not have hook-up accessibility, there are outdoor facilities including restroom, shower, sink, grill, and bonfire pit. Come enjoy the mountains, tour the nostalgic buildings, hearty meals at the local restaurants and LIVE music at The Gold Mine Grill & Saloon.
