Genesis Mountain Farm is a 37 acre property in one of the most beautiful and sought after locations in the Sandpoint Idaho Region. Known for beautiful and expansive natural views, our property is nestled at the feet of the mountains to the north, Pond Oreille River Valley to the south. Our farm is a year-round operation. Our pasture with Douglas Fir High-Mountain Barn is home to a variety of livestock (cattle, goats, pigs, rabbits, chickens, ducks, turkeys). Our Aquaponic Greenhouse yields 365 days per year and provides produce for our CSA Members, multiple restaurants, our family and animals. Genesis Mountain Farm, is also set up as an event venue with strategic landscaped areas and hosts farm to table dinners, weddings, corporate events, private retreats and courses in Closed-Loop Aquaponics. The upper 2/3rds of the property are wild and mostly forest with multiple granite amphitheatre type openings that boast expansive, sometimes 360 degree views, of the surrounding mountains, valleys and waterbodies. Onsite activities include tours of our farm and greenhouse operation, participation in farm activities, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, sledding, ATV. To our north (we call it our backyard) is over 1 million wild acres of forest with roads for ATV use and experience. Water Access for swimming, fishing and boat launch is only 2 minutes away. Schweitzer Mountain Resort is only 35 minutes from our driveway. Sandpoint is roughly a 10 minute away if driving by road or 15-20 minutes by boat. Parking areas for RV are down in the pasture and up by the main house. We currently only have a single 30amp outlet available up at the main residence. It is about a 40' distance from the parking spot in this location. It is our intention to add more access to power in the near future. We require that all guest check in with us prior and upon arrival. We also require that they communicate their departure. This site has roughly an acre of pasture. We ask that you keep your site consolidated and tidy to support other's receiving acceptable space. The pasture places you well into the valley area with views of mountains to the north, barn, cliffside dining area, orchard, ponds, market garden and upper forest property to the east, forest and skyline to the south and west. To access potable water, you will need to visit our mainhouse spigots or barn spigot. All water at these locations is our well water. You must not dump your grey water on our pasture site per Idaho State Law. Black water can be dumped 5 minutes away at a designated black water dump site in Laclede, Idaho. If you want water access it is less than 2 minutes away. You will go south from our property on Wrenco Loop and back out to HWY 2. Cross over HWY 2 on to Berry Lane and follow it down to the water and our local boat launch. You may swim, launch a boat or fish here. This is the Pond Oreille River and it connects to Lake Pond Oreille. Hiking, biking and walking are available on and off-site. ATV terrain is in abundance all around us. Use of our hot-tub and sauna are an additional fee and are found behind the main house. Our Aquaponic Greenhouse is tucked behind the tree line and above the rock wall that demarcates our "Cliff-Side" Dining Area. Tours are available for those that are interested. Farm to Table dinners happen once or twice per month. You may inquire about our scheduled dinners if interested. Skiing and Snowboarding are 35 minutes away at Schweitzer Mountain Resort. Snowmobiling terrain is abundant during the winter.
