Crazy Cow Farm Adventures is located in a small quiet town called Samaria, Idaho. Our family has run this farm since, Samaria was first settled in the late 1800s. It is a working farm, and so you will see us feeding the baby calves, and lambs, irrigating the fields, harvesting and hauling hay as we go about our day. We work hard on the farm but we also know how to play hard. Crazy Cow Farm Adventures has a fun hay chopper wagon ball game, peddle cart track (lots of fun for all ages), and farmyard laser tag. All of these fun activities can be purchased along with your night stay. Contact us for reservations and prices. The Crazy Cow Farm Adventures is the perfect place to unwind and become renewed. The Blue Goose is the old saloon that has been restored and turned into a little store, right here in Samaria just a few blocks from Crazy Cow Farm Adventures. Samaria is located near several reservoirs, where those that love to fish, can go enjoy the water. Yellowstone is just a few hours away, while Downata and Lava Hot Springs are both just a few minutes away. Malad City, Idaho is just a short ten minute drive and you can find the grocery store, pharmacy, hospital, and all the other comforts from home there.

You will have to ask about outlaw Jessie James, who once lived in the Malad Valley. Jessie has a queen size bed, electricity, air conditioning, mini fridge, microwave and heater. This is Glamping at it's finest. Outside you will find a picnic table and firepit already with wood for you to burn and all the supplies for smores along with a couple bottles of water in the fridge. Beverly is a fun energetic 1955 Vintage Camp Trailer, that we total reconstructed and remodeled. The fun and vibrant black and white wallpaper and pink with blue floral decor just adds to this little trailer's charm. You will have to ask about my Grandma Beverly and her spunky fun loving personality. Beverly has a king size bed, electricity, air conditioning, mini fridge, microwave and heater. 1962 Scotsman Trailer- Lola

Lola is my very first vintage trailer that I purchased. I bought her from the original owner and she is totally able to take out camping any time I want to. All of her propane and water is still very usable and I kept the original ice box as well. Lola is a 1962 Scotsman trailer, done with bright and cheery colors and a farmhouse feel. Lola has a full size bed, electricity, air conditioning, mini fridge, electric tea kettle and electric heater. Lola's dining room table does fold down into a small bed. Lola does have the original sink, with an upgraded pump faucet as well. This is Glamping at it's finest. Outside you will find a picnic table and firepit already with wood for you to burn and all the supplies for smores along with a couple bottles of water in the fridge. Enjoy the sunset, sitting out in front of Lola on the chairs provided, or watch the kids ride the peddle bikes around the track. We loved everything about our stay at Crazy Cow Farm! Shayna was so kind and accommodating. We went there for our daughter’s 9th Birthday (she has always wanted to live on a farm) and Shayna went above and beyond to make the weekend special for her. We are actually planning to back for our son’s birthday in August. 10/10 recommend!

Shayna and Luke were so considerate and accommodating. We had an absolute blast staying at their farm! My toddlers loved the pedal carts, and helping feed the baby cow at night. Such a fun spot!

I loved the layout and privacy (I had tent site 1). Close to gas stations and the interstate but not close enough to hear the cars. The bathrooms were immaculate. Farm animals, toys, and a playground for kids. The stars were amazing. I will definitely return if I'm ever in the area again.

A gem of a campsite in S. Idaho

Crazy Cow Farm is a delightful spot in a quiet agricultural setting in Malad ID, about half way from Tremonton UT to Pocatello ID. It is a welcome stop after suffering through the traffic in the Salt Lake City corridor. Shayna and Luke are very welcoming and even provide the fixings for S'mores. The sites offer a campfire ring and water is nearby. The 'outhouse' is modern with a flush toilet and a sink and the showers are well appointed and attached to the outhouse. There are optional remodeled camp trailers for those not bring their own tent or RV. The ground was level and spacious for our van. Adjacent to the property, the owners have also created a Malad Valley Heritage Square; a collection of original log buildings and wagons from the valley which give a good portrayal of the local agricultural history. It was a very pleasant stay and we now have it on our list of places to stop on our way south to the desert in the Spring.

What a delightful place to stay! Everything was so fun from the giant sandbox to the swing stairs and hammock to the excellent recommendation of a local fishing spot. We’ll definitely be back!!!

Fun Stay at a Farm!
1959 Oasis Camp Trailer- Jessie
We loved the vintage camping trailer (Jessie)! It was nicely decorated in a western theme. It had its own private yard with a firepit, picnic table and chairs for relaxing. The bed was super comfortable and the heater kept the trailer a cozy temperature. (It was a cool fall evening.) Shayna and Luke were great hosts. We hope to stop here again someday. A nice place for young and old!

Loved our stay on Shayna’s farm. Helping feed the sheep,horses,pigs,calves Was a treat. There were even baby buffalo there! Access to the cute renovated “outhouses” and even a shower elevated it to luxury camping. Even a s,mores kit provided! This was the first night we’ve camped with our new travel trailer, and it has set the bar very high. Thank you Shayna for your warm hospitality!

We loved everything about the site! The hosts are the most friendly people and very knowledgeable about the area. They were so attentive to our young kids and making sure they had the best experience! Our boys loved helping with the animals, riding around in the pedal cars, digging in the sand pit, and playing on the huge playground! We also enjoyed exploring town a little bit, even learning about some ancestors that lived there! We were also a huge fan of having flushing toilets and showers available. We will be back for our next camping trip for sure!

Beverly- 1955 Vintage Camp Trailer
This was an excellent stay! We did a girls trip and stayed in Beverly and it was perfect! The trailers are all so cute and nice! Very clean, great AC, microwave and fridge inside. We were the only campers at the time but there’s multiple fire pits so you wouldn’t have to share if there were other campers. Shauna provided a s’mores kit as well as warm drink mixes and some sweets! A cute hammock set up too! Shayna was a great host! Super accommodating as we were running late to check in and have a great tour of all the animals while doing chores. 12/10 recommendation this

Beverly- 1955 Vintage Camp Trailer
Crazy Cow Farm, Shayna and Luke far exceeded our expectations. The cleanliness of the site, the comfortableness of Beverly, the friendliness of the hosts and all the extra amenities were far more than you would receive at a standard hotel. Shayna has definitely put her heart into creating a place you’d want to come to after a long day of travel or hiking. The four-legged friends at the site were an additional bonus. This was our first Hipcamp adventure and Shayna and Luke have set the bar high for future trips. We will definitely keep Crazy Cow Farm on our list for our next visit to southern Idaho.

1959 Oasis Camp Trailer- Jessie
I had a great stay in the camper Jessie. The hosts at the site are extremely nice and welcoming. The space was clean, neatly kept, and had several nice touches to make it more special. I liked seeing all of the animals and getting to interact with them. The shower and bathroom are an easy walk away and are well kept and lighted at night. I would definitely recommend a stay here if you want a nice place to relax and enjoy the animals. The farmland is also beautiful and it makes for some great sunsets and sunrises. If I'm ever back in the area, I will definitely book another stay in Jessie or one of the other little campers.

Crazy Cow Adventures far exceeded our expectations and was a magnificent place to stay with our 7 year old. Not only were there lots of animals to get up close to, Shayna and Luke could not be more generous hosts. They willingly shared their time and knowledge and made sure everything was perfect. In short, we loved it!

So so so charming! The farm/Jessie was excellent in every way - the area and views, cleanliness and , with beauty and life all around. Hosts were kind and attentive. I wish I’d been able to stay longer and will be back. Already told my extended family all about it!

We loved our stay with Shayna and Luke! It was a joy to learn a bit about the history of the valley and feed the animals. The bathrooms were so cute, I think they should win a Pinterest Glamping award of some kind. It was a little off the beaten path and for that reason we slept like babies- no road noise, just happy farm sounds. Thanks for being so welcoming Shayna and Luke- we’ll be back!

We had an amazing time at the crazy cow farm! Shayna and Luke are incredibly welcoming and invested in making sure their guests have the best possible time. Our kids (and we) loved feeding all their animals and learning more about farming. Sheep, goats, horses, cows, pigs, roosters and hens, rabbits, ducks, dogs,... they have all the farm animals you could expect! And the amenities were really clean and enjoyable: shower/bathroom, fire pit (for smore's!), large lawn, and even playground. A real gem!

Shayna and her husband were great hosts! They made sure we had everything we needed. They allowed the kids to help feed their animals, etc. They also had an escape room which they allowed us access to free of charge. Shayna provided s'mores materials, and hot chocolate for us too. I would highly recommend their properties to anyone with kids who enjoy animals, or anyone looking for a cute little getaway. We also took advantage of the reservoir that's a few minutes away. It was a great place to go paddle boarding.

This is a lovely place! We enjoyed it so much. Even thought it was only one night, the host family make it so welcome. Amenities are cute and clean, and Shaynna very friendly and kind! The experience of living with the animals and feeding them is really worth it!
