Great place for stopping in for the night. We had the whole place to ourselves. More of these fairgrounds across the country should be doing this for travelers.

Very quiet and clean!! Plenty of space as well. We hear the trains during daylight hours but by bedtime did not hear them.
The host was extremely responsive to any questions with replies within minutes.

This was a great stop for us. It was off season and there were no activities going on at the fair grounds, so there was absolutely no one at the campgrounds. It was just pull in, hookup (the trailer that is) and enjoy the peace and quiet. The area is just a big, flat, grassy field. I suspect though that if there had been something going on at the fair it would have been entirely different.

We stayed one night at the fairgrounds while traveling through Idaho. We had the site all to ourselves, it was very quiet and a great place to stay for the night. We did not test the electrical or water hook ups but did see them in place.
I'd recommend this location to folks who are traveling through and are looking for an affordable, clean, quiet, safe place to stay.

Loved staying here! I stopped here both going and coming home on a longer road trip. Not too far off the main road, beautiful sunsets and sunrises, and much easier than hauling everything in and out of a hotel room with a dog and vehicle that is packed full. While I was the only person there both times and it was mostly quiet because I had no camping neighbors, there was a bit of activity nearby from locals or staff on the property. Incredibly easy to get in and out, do read their directions because the map will take you to the wrong road.

The grass was pleasant and there were trees bordering the grounds. It was t too loud or bright, and felt removed enough from a road or other buildings to feel private and safe. Unfortunately, the water was turned off in the morning, with no explanation.

Host number listed belong to someone that no longer work for this site.
We had water last night, but this morning, nothing. The site next to us had no water either. Not sure what may have happemed. Otherwise it was a nice peaceful stay.

What a great place to spend the night while traveling I-84. We were the only campers there. The RV area is well kept and green. Not to sure about the water, there were hookups at each site but the info for the site on Hipcamp said non-potable, no sign were posted reflecting the the water was unsafe. The electrical (30amp) receptacles do not accommodate larger plugs with handles, lucky for us we had an adaptor. The spot we choose only took 2 inches to level. I would defiantly stay there again.

It's a great place! I Felt safe. We were Alone for a few days, then the rest others showed up. It's a big area with lots of spots to choose. They all have water and electric. I would come back if needed in the area. When night time, with no light, clear sky, great for star gazing
There's a good laundry place maybe 3-4 minutes away. A free dump station 3 minutes away. Walmart is 14 km away.

Very neat and tidy county fairgrounds. Of course, it is mid July and there is likely a county fair coming so everything is spruced up. shade trees green grass… have had the site to myself with the exception of one person staying over a single night. quiet. 20 bucks plus tax for water and electric. The gates are open all night. There’s a Ripley’s grocery a mile down the road. Loved this place. All booking was done online. I was not bothered by anyone, but saw workmen taking care of business. level sites

This is exactly as advertised - a county fairgrounds. It was absolutely perfect for us as we passed through the area. The place was empty except for one other hipcamp guest who was way at the other end of the row of hookups. Large grassy area for the kids to play, beautiful sunset, and quite secluded. There is a gravel farm road behind the sites, which can kick up a little dust, but we only had 2 or 3 vehicles go by. The electric worked, the water worked, what more can I say.

A great, peaceful, roomy place to stay. Not another person here - it was like having the fairgrounds all to ourselves. Plenty of room for the dogs to run around and get some exercise.

Drive past the barn to the very end. You will see campsites on the right. Three sites labeled HipCamp on the north side under the trees.
A quiet place in which it is good to stay for a day or two.

Clean, well maintained, and quiet the nights we stayed. I had power. The water was non-portable water if I recall. We came to Rupert for a baseball tournament and this was perfect.

We stayed one night in Minidoka county on our way to parks in Utah. It was a very pleasant peaceful spot. We stayed on the way back to; perfect for when you are traveling long distances & need a nice place to rest. It was also a pretty area to take a walk after sitting all day.

Loved this place. I was the only one there and it was so peaceful. Best part was the farm life nearby especially the dueling roosters from the neighbors farm. I’ll stay here again.

Plenty of space to stretch out for sure. No one else was there, so I really "lived it up" lol. There was plenty of grass for my tent and I didn't feel like I was ever in danger. FYI, there are RV hook ups for power, so if all you have is an extension cord, make sure you have an adapter if you are tent camping. Water was refreshing.

Overall very nice! I stayed in April 2023 and had the area all to myself (there are 10 sites total). Check-in and finding the spot was very easy, and I had running water.
To describe the campground - the 10 sites are spaced about 10 ft from each other all in a row with no privacy between. They are towards the back of the fairgrounds, so not super visible from the main road but the fairgrounds are open to the public so anyone could come in and there is a public dirt road right above the sites on a hill along the canal. No great places to use the bathroom, so plan to bring your own. My only interactions were some cars drove by on the public road right above the sites, and two cars drove into the fairgrounds area to do donuts in the empty parking lot.

I was looking for a site that was spaced to allow a full day's drive from Seattle on my way to Salt Lake City, and this option fit the bill. It is on the county fairgrounds, adjacent to their back parking lot. I'm glad that I arrived at the very last daylight, as I may not have been able to find it in the dark. The spaces are small, unshaded, and very close together in a field, with only enough room to line up with adjacent campers, but luckily for me, I was the only occupant this night. They do have a water spigot and 30 amp outlet at each site. There was a rodeo going on across the fence that made for some noise, but it didn't continue too late into the evening. If you're looking for an affordable spot to spend the night and don't mind being right next to neighbors and not having any shade, this is a reasonable option. The adjacent fairgrounds could be a positive or a negative feature for some.
