Nice quiet property with paved road all the way to it. We have large parking areas and two great RV sized spots. Diesel pusher to tent... We can accommodate. This is primitive camping. There are no hook-ups so it is dry camping. You can run your generator. Central fire pit and camp fires welcome when there are no fire restrictions. You can walk or ride 1.5 miles to the water or drive 10 miles to the public beach on beautiful Hayden lake. 10 miles to town and all paved. No trespassing signs are for anyone not renting the space... not for you :)

Main Site

The site was beautiful and as described. The neighbors spoke with us as this is a residential property and they told us that the property was not being legally rented out. I'm not 100% sure if this is true because I do not know the laws surrounding renting property in idaho, but we were uncomfortable with this and did not end up staying overnight.

Mountain Freedom

Thank you for letting us enjoy the peace of the mountains on your property. It was very quiet. We stayed for a week. It rained most of time we were there, but the gravel parking spot kept it mud free:) The deer visited us every morning and evening. Beautiful scenic drive on the way there along the water and through the mountains. Neighbors were super friendly. Plus, there were close by woods paths to walk.

We really enjoyed our stay at Camp Thistledoo! The fire pit was great and we saw plenty of wildlife. Phil was very accommodating and we would love to stay again.

Phil’s land was so beautiful and quiet. Right off the main road but never heard a single car. It’s bug enough for an RV, a small car like our can make it up, spot for a tent and trees for a hammock. And thank you Phil for getting back to me so quick

The tent site was extremely quiet - especially considering its proximity to the paved road. Even though it was a summer Saturday, we were never disturbed by headlights or the passer-by. I loved the shade of the trees and proximity to the beach.
