HUNTING SEASON BASE CAMP!! This campsite is about 20 minutes drive from Sandpoint, ID. perched on the mountainside overlooking Lake Pend Oreille, the Pack River Flats, Idaho Club Golf Course, Schweitzer Ski Resort, and the Norther Selkirk Mountian Range, the property is bordered on the east by millions of acres of USFS lands (Kaniksu National Forest) to the east, and bordered on the west by thousands of acres of Idaho Fish & Game land. fishing on the Pack River is only a football field away, or if you want to tow a boat, the public boat launch on the lake is only a 5 minute drive from camp. Horse camping? Ride your horse off the property into hundreds of miles of horse trails, free to explore. Hunting? Make this camp one of the most beautiful base camps you ever had. Bring a bottle of wine and watch the sun set over the Selkirks while you enjoy the smoke and crackle of the campfire. Campsites are primitive, but two of them have enough space for boondocking. :-)

The Penultimate

Hammock Camping!!! Currently, this site has the best view of all our campsites, although there is another campsite coming that has The Ultimate view.. hence the name "The Penultimate!" This is a tent camping site with excellent Western Larch trees spaced beautifully for hammock campers. :-) Campers who choose this campsite will need to park below and hike a short distance (50-ish yards?) up the hill to the campsite.

RV sized campsite with parking for up to 55 feet! This site can accommodate a moderate sized trailer, or a car/truck and two 4-man tents This sight is next to our Sunsetter campsite, so if you have a larger party, you may want to book both at the same time. It has amazing views of the Pack River Delta (The Flats), the Idaho Club golf course, Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort, and the Selkirk Mountain Range. We are walking distance from amazing smallmouth and largmouth bass fishing, and some of the most fun kayaking you can safely experience with your family! The Pack River is a long, winding, lazy river filled with fish all year round, and EPIC waterfowl hunting in the fall! We are situated on the north edge of Idaho's largest lake and border thousands of acres of Idaho Fish & Game property, contiguous with literally millions of acres of US National Forest property. Base camp here, only minutes away from legendary deer/elk/bear/turkey hunting! This campsite can accommodate an RV, but does not have hookups.

The Boondock

This is our largest site. It can accommodate 100 feet of trailer+vehicle, AND a tent or two! This site has the lowest elevation of all our campsites, but Still has great views overlooking the Pack River Valley, Schweitzer Ski Mountain, and our personal favorite, a perfect view of Chimney Rock, 24 miles away!

Easy to find, very rewarding views, nice campsites with tables and fire pits, quiet environment, very clean porta-potty, plenty of fresh water available in cooler.

Overall we had a great time. We loved the evening we spent here and it was a perfect location to hike Scotchman Peak the next morning. It was very nice that they provided water and firewood. However, you are very close to the other site at this place and you can hear everything ( way too much!! ) On top of that, the guard dogs that they leave outside were barking the whole night. None of us got much sleep but there was a dog at the site next to us so maybe they were louder than normal? I would still recommend if you are just staying there for one night but just keep that in mind! The host was very nice also.

Great spot, very accessible and great location. We appreciated having a port-a potty, fresh water and a fire pit ready when we arrived. We got a chance to meet Toby who gave great recommendations for places to eat, float and even hike on the property. 10/0! Would and will book again!

We loved camping on Toby’s land. The property was easy to find and had great views. Toby was easy to communicate and very responsive. The port-a potty was very clean. I would highly recommend staying at one of Toby’s campsites if you are in the Sandpoint area.

Perfect little spot for a peaceful overnight stay. Easy access, quiet surroundings, and the view at sunset was amazing. The setup was clean and well-maintained, with a cozy fire pit and enough space to relax. Felt secluded but still close enough to the main road. Would definitely come back!

Very beautiful area with lots of outdoor things to do in the surrounding area. We are camping newbies and we did fine fitting our 13 ft. Trailer on the mulch. Host Toby was very helpful and did all he could to make our stay a pleasant one.

We had a wonderful stay on Toby’s beautiful property! He was so accommodating and the camp sites he set up have everything you need! We also loved being able to walk up and visit the sheep and horses. Would definitely recommend staying here for a peaceful getaway!

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Toby’s property!! The views are spectacular. There’s an area to cook/eat with picnic table, an adjacent sandy pad where the fire ring is, and an epic tent pad overlooking the valley below. Between nearby hiking, fishing, golfing, or enjoying beautiful Lake Pend O’Reille, you won’t run out of things to do before returning to the campsite as home base. We love Hipcamp for the unique stays it offers, and we often look for a more private option as we have some toddler tagalongs. This was perfect, thanks Toby!
