Our favourite stay on big island! It's a paradise and we regretted only staying one night. Kama and Mathias ensure that you have everything you need and more. It is quite an adventure to get to the camping spot because it includes crossing a river and hiking (about 30 minutes). However, it is absolutely worth it!

Magic 🪄
This place is pure magic. 🪄 The people, the land, no better place to camp. Bring bug spray but you will not regret booking this place.

Indescribable
This place was spiritual, heartwarming, humbling and beautiful…and the people are even more so. So hard to describe the experience in words. Leave your pride behind as you descend into paradise.

Awesome place to camp
This place was amazing. The beach, views in the valley, and hosts were spectacular! Kama and Mathias were terrific hosts and went above and beyond to ensure I had a good time. This is a beautiful place to stay for the fantastic valley and beach, or venture up and over the trail into Waimanu Valley. Mosquitos were out in full force while I was there, but it was just after a long period of rain and pretty manageable.
This place is truly one of a kind!

Truly amazing place
Words can’t fully express how special this place is. Very few visitors get to stay in Waipi’o Valley, which is a sacred and historic location in Hawaiian culture. Kama and Mathias are some of the most welcoming people I’ve ever met. True aloha spirit. Be prepared to battle some mosquitoes and pack as if you’re going backpacking. This would be a great stop on the Muliwai trail to Waimanu Valley. I’ll be back for sure!
