Set up camp under a blanket of stars on a small farm complete with high speed wifi access, on-grid electricity, unlimited drinking water, a covered outdoor kitchen (equipped with a grill/burner, air fryer, pots, pans, utensils, cups and plates), tented picnic area, yoga mat for your practice, outdoor shower, and compost toliet. The ocean is just a few minutes down the road and a short drive to Pahoa or Hilo. Please bring your own tent and sleeping gear! Car camping is accepted too. Communal kitchen and picnic table for dining and working.  Additionally, you can order breakfast, lunch or dinner if you reach out in advance, just let us know your dietary needs or preferences and we’ll provide a farm to table meal just for you! Please Note: The area is not covered and it does rain. But there are plenty of trees to attach a tarp to in case you would like a tarp over your tent. In addition to the tent space, there is a cabin and a dome (based on availability) that can sleep up to two people incase you prefer to rent that option!  There is NO CLEANING FEE for campers which means this is a self-lead stay and we ask that you wipe down all surfaces and rinse any dishes prior to use. Due to outdoor elements and conditions we ask our community to help out whenever you see fit to keep costs down. Also if you want to get your hands in nature, just ask! Book your stay inside of a geodesic dome with a luxurious queen size bed. Perfect for a solo traveler, couple, honeymooners, or a small family (you can bring a small air mattress to add to the dome. Fridge/freezer is available upon request, high speed wifi, lamps, fan, drying rack for clothes, portable/offgrid washing mechanism for small items, and clothing rack located inside the dome. Enjoy a minimalists approach where we value quality over quantity while getting a taste of semi-offgrid living - yes, there's high speed wifi, on-grid electricity, solar lights for all walking paths, unlimited drinking water, a small fridge/freezer, portable laundry bucket, clothing rack, drying rack, electric fan, a hot propane outdoor shower with excellent water pressure (communal), outhouse with a compost toliet (communal), and a large outdoor kitchen with granite countertops. You'll fall asleep to the sound of coqui frogs (earplugs recommended), and wake up to flowers, butterflies, dragonflies and songbirds. There’s plenty of space to enjoy a morning yoga/meditation practice with yoga mats/cushions provided. Feel free to play music, fall asleep to the sound of the chimes and bathe in the dome vibes. The outdoor communal kitchen is complete with a propane grill and gas burner, pots, pans, utensils, plates, cups, bowls, air fryer, toaster, and a communal picnic area.  Please note that the outhouse hosts a dry composting toliet along with a hot propane outdoor shower (communal) and fresh running well water. Work Trade Opportunity

We have a work trade program for strong able-bodied individuals who have a passion + interest in assisting a small, organic homestead on the Big Island of Hawaii for a minimum of 2 weeks. Accepted participants will be offered a the cedar cabin on the property for $50/night plus 2 days of service hours (16hrs/week) - save $ and give back! If you’d like to camp in your tent, it’s only $10/night plus 16 hours of work trade each week. Inquire for more by sending us a message with your skillset/interest!  Your stay includes on-grid electricity, high speed WiFi access, communal outdoor kitchen (equipped with grill, toaster, air fryer, pots, pans, dishes, plates, cups, utensils), unlimited drinking water, a covered picnic area with a propane firepit and grill, yoga mats, and a communal outhouse with a compost toliet and outdoor shower. WEEKLY POTLUCK: Every Sunday at 5:30pm there's a community potluck to discuss what was accomplished earlier in the week and what we're focusing on for the rest of the week.  Preference is given to candidates with previous permaculture and/or farm experience.  We are looking for kind, compassionate, efficient, driven adventurers who wish to deepen their Hawaii experience with an authentic, homesteading community + service oriented stay.    Accepted candidates must provide a security deposit and signed agreement. No guests, parties, heavy alcohol or drug use, thank you! PS: We do supply garbage bins however we ask that you take your garbage + compost toliet bag out EVERY Saturday, thank you! PPS: Ducks, hens and a dog live on the farm. PPPS: $800.00 Cleaning Fee will be refunded when you check out as long as all living quarters are in good-condition.
