The DreamingForest is a one of a kind 30 acre property nestled amongst the rolling green cinder mounds and mystic mountains of Pahala. This enchanted estate is a 30 acre old-growth forest sprouted from a 30,000 year old volcanic ash deposit. Located at 1300ft elevation just two miles above & directly overlooking the Punalu’u Black Sands Beach, where ancient sea turtles lay their eggs on sacred protected shores. DreamingForest estate is an operating animal farm consisting of horses, goats, ducks, cows, and assortment of wiley creatures. It is also host to the Butterfly Sanctuary and Center for Metamorphosis. All who enter this hallowed ground report sensations of magical vibrations from the DreamingForest itself. Formerly part of the Royal Hawaiian Estate, now available to those of noble sensibility. Only 20 minutes from the Kilauea volcano caldera, and 20 minutes from the SouthPoint Green Sand Beach.

The Chrysalis

The best part was being able to see the stars at night with no light pollution. The camp was quiet and comfortable with a nice ocean view.

Nestled on a hill in a little forest between old sugarcane fields is a beautiful rugged off the grid camping space. There is a wonderful view of the ocean from the dome. You get to experience hot days and cold nights close to the famous black sands beach. The minimalist pump shower and limited charging power really get you out of civilization and into nature. The grounds are littered with statues and art objects that add a sacred touch. All in all a very positive stay just bring your own flashlights and don’t expect the comforts of civilization you are out in nature there.

Nice property with a lot of potential, better suited for camping or glamping than RV’s. The place has nice views further down from entrance and a bit away from toilets and table area. We thought it was a somewhat complicated toilet system but it worked for us.
