The place that you will be visiting has a rich Hawaiian history. The ahupua'a of Malanahae was home to an elite band of warriors belonging to the army of Kamehameha. In the old times it is said that the bay of Malanahae was the only safe place to launch a fishing canoe during windy conditions. The Beach family has been caring for this land for the past twenty-five years. In the old times the flat lands were used for warrior training and in peace times the Makahiki games. It is the site of several noted battles in Hawaiian history. We currently use the land to grow water Melons, native Hawaiian Potatoes, and a variety of exotic fruits including mango and Leechee. The word Malanahae literally translates to "a body of fierce men" Please respect this land and its people past and present during your visit. This land is sacred and should be treated as such. Please carefully read all requirements for booking prior to doing so. ALL GUESTS MUST MEET AT THE FRUIT STAND TO CHECK IN PRIOR TO ENTERING THE PROPERTY

Fisherman's Landing #1
What an incredible view! We watched huge waves crash against the cliffs - it looked like the sea was breathing as the waves started to build up offshore. We felt very lucky to have been able to stay here. Thanks Erik for the ride to our site!

An unforgettable camping experience
An absolutely fantastic trip and amazing, mystical location on the Hawaii cliffs overlooking the vast Pacific ocean. The waves and swells this time of year were immense, rising 20+ feet as they crashed into the cliff. The experience was complete with a star-filled night and a full moon. Erik and Johnelle are wonderful people, we opted into the Turn-key campsite that fit two families perfectly. The Steak dinner was phenomenal and some of the best beef you will ever taste in this world. Erik took us on a tour of his 200+ Acres of farmland and we had a boar hunt, albeit I missed my shot! I would do this again, and again, for many years to come! My only regret is not staying longer!!

Erik and Johnelle were so sweet and helpful. They brought us down to the site, let us meet their dogs and brought us firewood. It was such a beautiful place to spend the night. It was clean and very peaceful. We loved it! We would 100% recommend and can’t wait to return again.

I loved the super remote environment, no cell service was great for disconnecting from it all! Views were amazing. 4x4 drive in was super bumpy but so much fun. There is an outhouse and running water for a shower too! So relaxing, would love to stay again!
