Cozy and private little site that was perfect for us and our dog. The inside of the tent is very nice, and it was great to have a bathroom with hot water! It is definitely a getaway within the city so there was a lot of noise from nearby train tracks and highways. You also need a 4-wheel drive vehicle unless you want to walk your stuff quite a distance down a steep hill. All in all, it's a great weekend getaway.

It’s a good little getaway.
The Bell tent on Sara’s land is a great spot. Good for a weekend getaway. We enjoyed sitting by the fire and relaxing by the pond.
It Is very close to Panola Mountain which is an amazing hike.
The hot water out door shower is amazing.
The wood burning stove inside the tent is a little suffocating when used, it smokes up the tent. The zipper on the tent door is also broken so it’s can’t be sealed to weather and bugs.
There is a bit of a hike to the bell tent, you have to park your car at the top of a hill and then carry all of your things down a somewhat steep path.
The mattress in the tent was a firm memory foam, which is much better than an air mattress.
The tent, having electricity was a huge bonus.

Can I Live Here, Please?
This place is beyond special. The tent is cozy and warm (little wood-burning stove, plastic skylight top, and very comfy bed), the outhouse is super cool with its compostable toilet—AND hot water! The best parts, though, are the bonfire pit, the hammock, the forest, and that amazing little lake. Crystal clear water, glorious colors in the fall. It was one of the best Halloween solo camping trips of my life. Yes, you’ll hear some horns from the distant highway and definitely some low-flying planes, but despite that, it’s wonderfully peaceful and magical. I actually extended my stay because I was so in love with the place. I CANNOT wait to go swimming in that pond again.
(Just be aware—firewood is supplied but not protected from the elements, so bring extra tools to get a fire going when things are damp and wet. Also, please note that the photos of the inside of the tent show a bunch of cooking supplies; the utensils shown are not all there [teapot and pot, for example]. Bring extra cooking supplies so you don’t get caught without a pot like I did! 😂. The propane grill has a nice set of utensils, though, and that was great.)

Absolutely beautiful spot! Sara was extremely accommodating and had just about anything you would need for the weekend. I loved the set up! Everything was adorable and useful. We grilled, laid in the hammock, kayaked, and caught quite a few fish. Only complaint would be the city noise in the background if you expecting to be off of the grid, but other that that, would definitely recommend!

Romantic Getaway
Everything was perfect!
Loved how clean it all was, specially for being outside.
They have thought of almost everything you’d possibly need to be comfortable.
Hubby and I wanted to getaway for the weekend without having to go so far from the kids to do it and this was perfect. Off the beaten path but still only 25 mins from home. Loved the trail to the campsite, felt more excluded and having a Jeep just made it feel like a nice short trail ride to our destination. ❤️
Definitely will be returning.

Secluded Yurt on Private Lake
The yurt had a lot of great amenities, including hot water in the shower and a water cooler for safe drinking water. The bed was comfortable and there was lots of outdoor space to eat and spend time outside. The dock and kayak were great.
We noticed that the yurt seemed to have some water damage on the inside of the roof and all 3 of us suspect we had allergic reactions (including sore throat and coughing) during our stay. (As long as we were outside of the yurt, we did not experience these symptoms, and suspect it could be a reaction to mold).

This was a fun little getaway! The campsite is a little tight so I can’t imagine having more than 2 people, but it was perfect for us and our dog. You definitely need a 4x4 to be able to drive the 1/8th-ish of a mile from the road to the tent, and you can hear some slight city noise. But all in all, would recommend it :)

Secluded Yurt on Private Lake
Kids enjoyed it. But....
The stay for my kids was great because, well, they're kids. The following is what us "grownups" found during our stay:
-fishing equipment was all over the place from prior visitors (we consolidated it) & their tackle box getting rusted and some equipment inoperable
-Bathroom Sink had a leak on valve itself which sprayed at our clothes every time we used it
-Solar lanterns were scattered all over the place (I had my kids fix a few and the rest were condemned.)
-Dining (inside) bench chairs are loose
-The hammock was loose, my son fell off of it because the hooks were barely hanging on but I had to re-bend the support hooks (he didn't get hurt so no worries)
-there was a double booking mishap that had wrongfully booked another couple and we ended up having to retouch by sanitizing after them.
-Had all these items not been present the price of the booking would have been worth it but not satisfied with what I paid. (over $500 for two days.)
-Campfire lid and grates had been destroyed by previous users (would have been a nice touch)
-Finally, communication between the owners and the users could be better. Other than that, my kids had a wonderful time there, we caught some bass, and made some new memories.
And that's about it. Stay could have been better but maybe by posting this someone else might have a better experience than I.

Secluded Yurt on Private Lake
Nice secluded and kid friendly
We had a great stay! We are a family with young children and there was plenty to do, space to run around and the indoor space was roomy and safe for children. The outdoor space is great, it feels like a very secluded area besides the glam tent set up a couple hundred yards through the trees for a different Hipcamp listing. No one was there during our stay. We enjoyed canoeing, relaxing in the hammock and just being around the fire. The hosts left the fishing gear out for us as we mentioned we wanted to do that so that was nice. The space is not quite as updated as the photos look but it was still a perfectly nice place. The walk from the car is rocky and downhill /uphill going from yurt to car so be prepared for that especially if you have to make multiple trips back and forth! I would definitely recommend this place.

Perfect Getaway
We stayed in the tent on the property. It was nice and private and there’s even a kayak and fishing poles are provided! It was really nice to get out of the house. We’re definitely coming back, but for the Yurt in the future. The location was great - only 30 minutes from our home. The bathroom is a nice touch. It was a peaceful and lovely stay. Thank you!
