Welcome to The Riverbank Campground, the perfect spot for a laid-back, rustic outdoor adventure! Conveniently located less than 2 miles from I-75, tucked away on the banks of the Oostanaula river, our campground offers a no-frills, back-to-basics experience for folks who love the great outdoors. Less than 5 miles away from the campground, you’ll find historical sites like New Echota, Resaca Battlefield, and Fort Wayne, offering a glimpse into the region’s rich history. 🏞️ Waterfront RV Sites We have four RV sites right on the river, each with power and water hookups. These spots give you the best of both worlds: modern conveniences and a prime view of the water. 🏕️ Tent Camping There’s plenty of space for tent camping too. Find a cozy spot under the trees close to the river, and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. Amenities 🔥 Fire Pit: Our fire pit is perfect for cooking up some grub, making s’mores or just relaxing with a cold drink. Gather 'round, swap stories, and enjoy the simple pleasures of campfire life. 🎣 Fishing: Drop a line from our dock and see what bites. The river’s full of fish, so bring your gear and get ready for some good old-fashioned fishing. 🛶 Kayaks and Tube Access: Bring your kayaks or tubes and float downstream and soak up the sun and scenery. There is an access point less than 2 miles upstream you can shuttle to, float downstream & take out directly at the campground. At The Riverbank Campground, it’s all about enjoying the basics: good company, good times, and the great outdoors. Whether you’re fishing, paddling, or just kicking back by the fire, you’ll feel right at home here.

Hidden Gem

Really remote spot so close to the interstate. Sounds weird but it’s true. There’s four nice spots way down in a field next to a river and a dock. All the spots have electric and water. It was really quiet with no noises from the road or interstate near by. Danny and Angee were so nice, we felt like we’ve known them for years and yet they did not intrude and let us have our privacy. When we were leaving, Danny let us know the Flying J dump was inoperable but he told us about a free dump at the rest area just a few miles up the road. We’ll definitely be staying here again and maybe bringing our kayaks back to float the river back to the site.

Perfect Retreat!

We loved our stay at this campsite even though we were only passing through for one night on our way to TN. It is a wonderful retreat! We arrived late at night due to traffic in Atlanta and hosts Angee and Danny went out of their way to reach out and make sure we could find our campsite all right. We were able to easily locate it thanks to the clear and easy path and solar lighting. Once settled in we enjoyed a great night’s sleep thanks to the peaceful and quiet surroundings. When we woke up we were blown away by all the thoughtful and welcoming amenities that Angee and Danny have provided for guests: a community fire ring, nice picnic table sets at each campsite, and a beautiful seating area overlooking the river that passes by their property. Angee and Danny were very welcoming and responsive hosts. We will definitely be back to stay at Riverside when we can spend more time and we would highly recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a really nice place to stay conveniently located just minutes away from the exit off of I-75.

A Perfect Retreat!

It’s just a short easy drive from the exit off of I-75 and so much nicer than the average RV park.

We loved this campground! It is located right on the river and was very quiet and peaceful. Located near the interstate but far enough away that you don’t hear the noise! Angee & Danny were super nice and allowed us to change to a more shaded campsite! We would definitely stay there again!

We had a great experience. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The site is beautiful, clean and peaceful. The location is conveniently located near the highway, but far enough that it’s quiet. When we camped, there were few insects even though we were right on the river. *Bonus-we had cell service.
