Seeking a secluded escape? Tallapoosa River Hideaway offers private riverside camping on 18 acres bordering the Tallapoosa River. Explore hardwood forests, deer trails, and 3,000 feet of river frontage. Kayak or fish directly from the property, or embark on a scenic paddle downstream to the Dub Denman Canoe Trail public access point.Very private any only rented to one group at a time! 18 plus acres of land that is bordering the Tallapoosa River on 3 sides to the north west and east and 800 acres of timberlands to the south. There are many spots along the river banks or creek on the propery to pitch a tent, kayak, fish, and explore. There is so much to discover including hardwood and pine forests, deer trails, and around 3000’ of river frontage all for you. Park along the road bed then set out to find your perfect spot! Raw land that borders the Tallapoosa river! If you are interested in Kayaking you can put in at my place and float to the the Dub Denman Canoe Trail public access #1 popular springs road. It is about a 6 hour paddle from the property. You can also put in at hwy 27 and float about 2.5 hours down to my property. Message with any questions or if you would like to plan a party or event the old bridge would make for an awesome backdrop!

Great little hidden gem!
There are a couple great spots to set up a tent and great little stream to play in. We found some stones for a fire ring and good flat ground. Would do again 10/10!

The Private River Retreat!
Great times in the great outdoors
This secluded river retreat is excellent for new or seasoned campers who want a private camping experience nestled in nature. Our site was excellent with easy access to the river the sounds of which put us to sleep at night. We had a little trouble with directions and We sent a note through the HipCamp app. Our phone service was spotty so the host drove out to ensure that we made it in okay. That was a classy move. We left the campsite better than we found it --which was tough to do because it was in clean and undisturbed condition when we arrived. Heck we even lost one of our party for a few hours only to find him asleep on a rock, under the old bridge, by the bank of the river. Tori is a champion host and this site was first class.

The Private River Retreat!
It was perfect for myself, son, and two dogs to walk around and explore. The dogs were off leash since it's one group at a time. I was relaxed knowing there would not be distractions for them being German Shepherds. The river was calm and in view and we look forward to another visit.

Large private primitive spot
2nd time camping on this property and we love it! Great for groups and dog owners! Will be back for sure in the warmer months to play in thr river, even though we played in it in November.. brrrr!
