We knew our property was a special place when we found it during our search when we decided to move our alpaca farm from FL to GA. We have raised alpaca for last 17 years. They are a fiber producing animal (similar to sheep) as well as just a beautiful animal, have great personalities and it is amazing to watch the herd dynamics. We have 2 very spoiled donkeys (sister and brother-gelded) - have had them for about 18 years. We are committed to provide the best care possible for our animals and love to educate people about alpacas (and donkeys). There is a large covered deck overlooking the alpaca pastures - come hang out with them. We have a farm store onsite with various items for sale made out of the alpaca fiber (socks, scarves, sweaters, hats, plushies, etc). As part of your stay, we provide a short alpaca farm tour! There is a 2 acre pond on our property which is adjacent to the campsite area separated by a fence. The campsite area is located away from our main house and the alpaca barn. There is a picnic table available. We have a bathroom facility onsite (and in the future a shower) - a short walk from the campsite area. Visit our FB Farm page - Sweet Blossom Alpacas. 2 full size campsites - gated. We do have a site outside of the gate for anyone needing to park overnight/getting in too late to set up.

Camp #1 - Lake view

Booked 1 time
RV/tent site · Sleeps 3 · Vehicles under 45 ft
The camp area is far enough way to have privacy but not too far if you needed to walk to the bathroom or shower facility. The lake has a dock, bring a chair and relax and listen to mother nature. Deer frequent the lake but don't have access to the camp site area. Included in your stay is a private tour of our alpaca farm. Magnolia Springs State Park is 7 miles from us, beautiful hiking and bike trails, and the park is never busy. Magnolia Springs State Park is a 1,070-acre Georgia state park located between Perkins and Millen in Jenkins County. The park was built as a project of the Civilian Conservation Corps and opened in 1939. The park is well known for its crystal clear springs that are estimated to flow 7 million US gallons per day. During the Civil War, this site was called Camp Lawton and served as “the world’s largest prison.” Today, little remains of the prison stockade; however, the earthen breastworks which guarded it may still be seen. During 2010, Georgia Southern University archeology teams uncovered the stockade wall and numerous personal articles from soldiers. Their discovery has been heralded as one of the most significant finds in recent history. Artifacts are currently on display at the university and at the Camp Lawton Museum located at Magnolia Springs State Park.
