The entire property is oriented toward private farmland views, a half mile of river and surrounding mountains. It's really quite remarkable to be so accessible yet feel so remote! Come swim, fish, cook and play! PLEASE NOTE, our rate is based on the number of vehicles in your group. The first vehicle is included in the nightly rate and admits 4 campers. WE CHARGE FOR ADDITIONAL CARS. The charge will be added to your booking once you select the number of vehicles at checkout. Please note that each additional car admits four campers. For EXAMPLE, 2 cars = 8 campers total. If you only have two cars but more than eight people, YOU MUST select the "Extra Person" Extra for each night they are camping. Please select these extras at checkout. If you have questions about this PLEASE message me prior to booking. Our 95-acre farm was once owned by the Davis family who predominantly raised dairy cattle. We now raise the wooly Mangalitsa pig and sell to the best chefs and restaurants. We sell our pork at the farm too! All of our campsites are next to running water except the two hilltop sites. Two porta-potties are on the farm and private porta-potties are available for rent. Groups of eight or more are required to rent a porta potty should you not bring your own toilet system with you. We do not allow the use of our small wooded areas as toilets. No porta potties are provided b/tw Dec 15 and March 15 Please contact us in advance regarding paying for firewood ($7/5 pieces), dogs ($15 each), day vehicle visitors ($30), private farm tour ($15/person) and/or a private porta potty ($120). thank you! Quiet hours are from 10pm to 9am. Checking in before 5 pm is requested. Later times may be available with prior arrangements. Our farm is very dark and navigating at night is difficult. Contact Catherine directly so you can be checked in safely and accommodate your schedule. LIMITED CHECK-INS AFTER DARK. We are 1 mile off of I 40, 17 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 15 min. to Maggie Valley, 10 min to the Elk at Cataloochee, 25 min to Cataloochee ski area, 10 min to Lake Junaluska and 15 min to downtown Waynesville. Asheville is 20 miles to our East.

Gentle grassy slopes lead to the water's edge while views across the river are of rugged forest and cattle. Build a fire and enjoy the eagles, turtles and cranes that grace the river. Sun and shade. Recently renovated using locally mined boulders, this site is now accessible by road or walking from your car down a stone path (15 yards) to a pea gravel campsite with a firepit and picnic table. Suited for 3 cars maximum and 1 very small overland trailer.

An afternoon walk up the hill or through the woods with a bottle of wine is rewarded with 360 views of the stunning Smoky Mountains. Later, crystal clear running water back at your campsite will refresh your soul and lull you to sleep. Suited for several cars, campers and cars with trailers. Glamping elevated in the Smoky Mountains of western NC! Our 40' by 24' deck offers a play on the open air 'cabin'. The enclosed conditioned space boasts a private full ensuite bathroom, king sized bed, ceiling fan, heat/ac, kitchenette, refrigerator and freezer drawers, cooktop, convection toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker and wall mounted fireplace. For an open air experience, draw open the 10' wide glass garage door to the deck and sweeping mountain views. Cable railing, an in-deck hammock and sleek furniture keep the space unobstructed conveying a feeling of floating on air! Additionally, a lovely large boulder and pea gravel patio with adirondack chairs, chaise lounge chairs, a propane firepit and propane BBQ round out the experience. Unlimited pets are allowed; $40 for the first and $20 each additional however we do make exceptions for toy breeds. We will accept payment upon arrival. Parking for 17* N is up our private gravel farm road and two vehicles are permitted with your reservation. Our location is 1 mile off of I 40 though you cannot hear the traffic. No need to navigate winding mountain roads to paradise; simply book and enjoy all that nature and the mountains have to offer.

We had a jeep trailhawk, hauling a 6x12 trailer. We had no issues getting to #8 campsite. The views were amazing. There is a campsite past this spot, where other campers have to ride by and you can see from this spot. Otherwise private away from most campers. We loved our stay and had the best view of the Harvest Full Moon.

There is a reason this property is one of the top 50 places to camp in the country! OMGOSH, you will be blown away by this property. The entire time we kept saying to ourselves, WOW! It is so incredibly well maintained. The views are spectacular. You must look at the views from each site. You will quickly find yourself asking which site you want to camp at next. Now let's get to our hosts! Catherine and Rick were amazing! Catherine was so kind and sweet. Her energy upon arrival was awesome. I immediately said to my fiancé, she is fabulous! She was always available to answer questions and provided great advice on what site we should stay at, and she nailed it! The other hosts, the beautiful farm animals (dogs, pigs, horses, cows) were amazing as well. Sweet and unfazed by others walking the property. Definitely inquire in advance about the food they sell. We wish we had realized it because it all sounded amazing and would have been great to enjoy farm-to-table right there at our campsite! Lastly, if you need anything once you have arrived, you can easily get what you need at the stores (Ingles and Walmart are minutes away). There is also a really cute downtown to check out. So, in closing. Don't Keep Scrolling. Book this place now. We promise you, you won't be disappointed!! Thank you, Catherine and Rick, for making our camping adventure unforgettable!

We had a lovely getaway at Mangalitsa! We stayed at Creekside 6 and enjoyed the sound of the creek at night and the shade the trees provided during the heat of the day. It felt most private vs other campsites as well, so our toddler was free to be a little loud. Loved the river nearby too-during the heat of the day we got to cool down, wade in the water, and fish. Catherine was communicative and friendly and gave great directions/info prior to our trip to the farm. And for a pig farm, ZERO bad smells or bug problems! Apart from a few welcomed last flitters of fireflies in the evening. We will be back!

This place was so beautiful. The farm is clearly very well taken care of and very picturesque. My spot with the deck overlooking the river was perfect, the built in hammock net was the perfect reading nook to relax in after spending a few hours getting some sun in the river. Catherine and Rick made check in super easy and responsive. I will 100% be back!

We enjoyed our stay at 5 Troutfall deck and plan to return for future camping trips! The deck and hammock were a wonderful touch to elevate the space. We fell in love with the view of the river bend and all the animals around us (cows, pigs, donkeys, goats, and their herding dog, Stetson). The river was harder to access, we assume Helene caused a lot of damage, but if you walk closer to the front, there is easy access to the river. Thanks for your hospitality!

Peaceful, beautiful and perfect. 5G cell service. The trees by the river provided wonderful shade and kept us cool even in this 90 degree humid weather. We saw cows in the river, humming birds not even 15 feet away and even heard the donkeys yelling around 5pm when it was feeding time. The ground by the river was good and flat for our tent with no sticks or rocks to worry about. We can't wait to come back.

I loved camping beside the rapids and watching wild turkeys and herons get up to their wild antics. Across the road is a large, idealic hill with horses on top and donkeys I fed apples and carrots to. The Mangalitsa pigs are HUGE and several mamas had cute little sows. I came away renewed and refreshed and I will return, hopefully in the fall. I am a solo female camper and can’t imagine a more safe campsite! Thanks, Catherine and Rick, for the wonderful experience. I’ll plan to stay longer next time and enjoy some of your foodstuff and a farm tour.

A beautiful place to camp! It is very peaceful and clean, and the porta-potty was very convenient for our large group. We were originally going to camp at site 7, but the host contacted me to ask if it was fine to move our group to site 5, which is their best site, because site 7 was muddy. It was at no extra cost, and it was wonderful—I really appreciate that. We will definitely come back

Site 1 Rocks
This is the second year we’ve come back to stay at the farm, this time at a different campsite. If you enjoy mountains, wildlife, swimming/bathing in rivers, and watching hummingbirds fly violently through the air all summer, this IS for you. Also, Stetson (farm dog) is borderline a mythical creature. He’ll appear and disappear randomly throughout your stay, but he’s always fun to have around. Just make sure you lock up your food. Lol. The hosts will never bother you, and watching them manage the farmland is always a pleasant experience. We will return next year!

This is such a beautiful farm. Rolling hills, animals, very private campsites, right along the Pidgeon River. The hosts are very attentive and super friendly. So glad they share their little slice of heaven. We've been twice, and will be back.

The farm was gorgeous and "the rocks" camping site was huge with plenty of space for our large group. Catherine was extremely helpful and quick to reply with any questions we had. The location is close to hiking trails and nice restaurants. I would definitely recommend this site.

Catherine and Rick have created such a special place to camp! Every time we visit, the campsites are spotless, and even the porta potties are always incredibly clean, which says a lot about how much they care about their guests. They are some of the kindest and most welcoming hosts you’ll meet, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The farm itself is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views, a beautiful river that’s perfect for relaxing, and wonderful animals to see throughout the property. If you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway with exceptional hospitality, I can’t recommend this place enough. It truly feels like a hidden gem. 1,000% recommend, and we can’t wait to come back!

Catherine and Rick have a beautiful property that overlooks the river and so many friendly animals to visit! The camp site was absolutely beautiful and very spacious! You can walk down the bank to the river and there are even a few trees you can hammock in! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back again with our family!

Wow!!! Such an amazing place to experience! The space is so well cared for. Animals were a joy to engage with- the donkeys are so kind & pigs were entertaining to watch. The sounds of the river to fall asleep to and wake up were spot on!! Catherine and Rick experience & AND pork we bought were just incredible! Cant wait to come back and experience again in the future!

We try to come back here whenever we can. It is a beautiful, and beautifully maintained property, and ideal for hiking on the Blue Ridge and in the Great Smoky Mountains. The camping sites are private and very peaceful.
