A completely private, gated campsite with over 4.5 acres to call your own during your stay. Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Northeast Georgia, beautiful scenery abounds with ample opportunities for outdoor adventures. In addition to what you will find at our campsite, options for white-water rafting, zip-lining, kayaking and hiking are mere minutes away! This property is conveniently located to the charming towns of Highlands, NC and Clayton, GA where you will find a variety of local shops and restaurants. The regionally-aclaimed Dillard House is less than 5 miles away.A camper's heaven with waterfalls on-site! Secluded Waterfall Haven

Perfect, except please fix the gate

This place is beautiful. So nice to get away. Everything we needed was shown to us by the host, including restroom (no shower or bath, but we had a camp shower), outdoor sink, spigots, fire pit, dry wood ($5/bundle), shade, sun, tables, broom, benches, counters, grills, grill brush, lights that can be turned off. We enjoyed the waterfall, swing, pavilion, boulders, and plenty of space. All I would suggest is to be able to close & lock the gate on our own. It was recommended that we close the gate at night, but it was stuck in the ground & we didn’t have a shovel. There’s a small Georgia Power building just outside of the gate & 2 men with a Georgia Power truck were working outside the building for a couple of hours, then I noticed they were inside the gate on the camping property near the restroom without asking if they could enter the property. When I confronted them to tell them this is private property, please leave, they insisted they had to work and were pointing farther into the property. We felt unsafe and the whole point of going there was because it’s supposed to be secluded. They asked if I wanted to call the police (note: we had no cell service out there). I told them we wouldn’t be there the next day so they could come back then and again said this is private property, please leave. Finally they agreed and left. The rest of the trip was wonderful. Thank you for sharing this amazing place.

Here's a polished version of your review: "We had an amazing few days at the Waterfall Camp—pure magic! It was the perfect family getaway with our teenager. The campsite feels private but is still close to downtown Clayton and other attractions if you're looking for something to do. We wanted to unplug, and with no cell reception, it was the perfect place to disconnect. Although we had some rain and colder weather than expected, the two pavilions made for a cozy spot to hang out. If you're up for a challenge, the 15-minute hike to the large waterfall is absolutely worth it—it’s breathtaking! Even the waterfalls and areas around the camp are stunning. The bathrooms were spotless, which made the stay even more comfortable. Dee Dee, the host, was so kind and answered all of our questions. We’re already looking forward to our next visit—just need to find an open date since the site books up quickly!

My glimpse of paradise

I don't want to keep telling people about this place but then I end up doing it anyway. 🤣. It lessens my chances of getting in. This is my favorite spot to camp. Something about it is very special and calming. I love the water around the property and my kids always have a blast. Over the years going it would be nice if somehow there could be a shower added down by the toilets but that's the only thing missing.

Magical

We’ve had the pleasure of camping here before. As always this place is a little bit of paradise, it’s private and the host provides everything we need. Dee Dee is a pleasure to work with, and she is very prompt to answer questions or help with your plans. We made some wonderful memories with our grandsons here! You know it’s magical when the 9 year old says, “ when I grow up I want to bring my kids here!” Thank you Dee Dee for sharing this special place.

A forest wonderland

We were enthralled by this place best described as a hidden garden of Eden. Absolutely secluded and a one of a kind location, a private stretch of bubbling brooks and waterfalls. If tiny fairies flitting about visited us there I would not have been surprised, it is that magical. It’s nice that DeeDee shares the camp with one group at a time, it makes for a very private and special family getaway. I would recommend this campsite experience wholeheartedly and without reservation.

Incredible private campsite with waterfalls. So beautiful and DeeDee was extremely nice and accommodating. We had a wonderful time and will definitely try to book this site again in the future!
